Right now, his expression was gentle. He was no longer cold or arrogant.
He was so attractive. An Ran’s finger twitched, wanting to touch Ye Chengwei’s face. She wanted to see if his clean skin was as smooth as a girl’s.
It was like a dream how she’d gotten involved in his life.
The Ye Group had infiltrated every industry and also ruled every industry. Ye Chengwei, as the heir of the next generation, had an important status nationwide—and even worldwide.
But in the end, An Ran just pushed herself up softly from bed. She didn’t dare to take the initiative to touch him, even though he looked gentle now.
She suddenly wanted to sneak away and go home earlier. Always using Liu Weiwei as an excuse wouldn’t work in the long-term.
Just as An Ran was about to lift the blanket, someone grabbed her wrist. A touch of warmth flowed into her skin. Ye Chengwei pulled her hand and covered his face.
An Ran was shocked. He actually knew what she was thinking!
“Mm.” Ye Chengwei’s voice was like a dreamy murmur. “Want to escape?” That soft tone made one’s heart pound. Who said that only a girl’s sleepy voice was mesmerizing? It was the same for men.
“N-no,” An Ran said quickly.
Ye Chengwei kept his eyes closed. He pulled her in softly and An Ran returned back under the covers.
“Today is Saturday. Sleep a bit more, ‘kay?” He pressed her head against his chest.
The warm blankets made one unwilling to leave.
An Ran pressed her hand against Ye Chengwei’s chest. She didn’t want to get too close, but he circled her domineeringly. Pressing to her ear, he said with his eyes closed, “Do you know that you work really well as a pillow? Small and soft, so comfy.”
So, he only wanted the comfort of a pillow.
An Ran wasn’t sad. She had no right to be sad. She just said timidly, “I-I want to go home. I’m afraid my mom will worry.”
Ye Chengwei didn’t move. His eyes were still closed.
Looking at his crazily attractive face, An Ran asked again, “Can I?”
Ye Chengwei finally opened his eyes. His gaze was still indifferent and hard to discern any emotion. He just let go of An Ran and turned onto his side. He grabbed the phone from the bedside shelf and turned it on.
He handed her the phone. “Call your mom. Say you’ll go home later.”
An Ran was unwilling, but Ye Chengwei’s words were impossible to disobey, like a god’s decree. She took the phone and dialed.
“Mom, it’s An Ran… Yeah, I’m with Weiwei… She wants me to go shopping with her… I know. I’ll come home soon.”
After she finished, Ye Chengwei took the phone back. Hugging her again, he said, “Remember. I like good girls.”
In his world, good girls were probably completely obedient.
She laid with her back to him in slight rebellion. She was a living human, not a pet. How could she be completely obedient? But his kiss landed on her cheek, making An Ran shiver.
“I’ll go shopping with you later.” Ye Chengwei’s voice traveled through her back. It was indescribably comfortable.
It was soft. The annoyance in him disappeared immediately.
“Oh,” An Ran mumbled. She didn’t know what to say. It just felt great to be hugged warmly by him. Great.
It was an indescribable feeling of safety, as if she could hide from all sorts of pain as long as she was in his arms.
