Oath of Love - Chapter 46
Chapter 46: This Villa is Your Cage (4)
“From now on, you’ll be the canary in this villa until the day I get tired of you and desert you. You will have no chance to say goodbye to me first.” His tenderness turned into icy spikes in the next minute.
This was the emotional and unstable Ye Chengwei. If he were happy, he would pick the stars for you. But if he became angry, he would also push you to hell without hesitation.
Just because he was the master of everything.
An Ran smiled vaguely. “Ok.” She became very obedient.
She should be grateful for expensive new clothes and for no longer having to drink with people and be insulted by them.
He was her savior!
“Good girl. I like it.” Ye Chengwei kissed her cheek. “Tonight we will have a wonderful start.”
Tonight…An Ran didn’t say anything, but it was just her first night to pay off debts. What’s wonderful about it?
Ye Chengwei let her go. “Change your clothes for breakfast.”
He dragged her downstairs to the dining hall like a kind lover.
“Miss An.” A fit middle-aged woman smiled at An Ran kindly and warmly.
An Ran recognized her. She was the housekeeper, Sister Rong. She hasn’t aged in five years.
“Sister Rong.” An Ran smiled back at her.
Sister Song smiled. “Breakfast is ready. Please enjoy it, Young Master and Miss An.”
“Thank you.” An Ran said politely.
Ye Chengwei didn’t respond and dragged An Ran to sit down next to him. An Ran was surprised by the food on the table. Soy milk, deep-fried dough sticks, steamed stuffed bun and bun. Those were all ordinary foods for common people.
Could it be that the high Young Master Ye liked eating these as well? Wouldn’t he be having bread, cheese, sandwiches and milk with fine forks and knives.
How could she know that this was the most ordinary breakfast that didn’t come through five years ago?
Ye Chengwei didn’t speak and remained the same, as if he didn’t notice An Ran’s surprise. He took the glass of soy milk and took a light sip.
Then he frowned a bit. Not everyone was used to the fresh smell of soy.
An Ran peeped at Ye Chengwei and drank her soy milk as usual. Then she sent a short part of fried dough sticks into her mouth with chopsticks.
Ye Chengwei stared at her and said, “How could you eat such greasy food?”
“It’s not greasy. See? It’s yellow and crispy.” An Ran said. A little oil came out of her lips. She rushed to wipe it with her hand and smiled awkwardly. “It’s a little greasy, but it’s good. Try it.”
But Ye Chengwei frowned and pushed the tissue box to her. “Please, for the sake of hygiene.”
An Ran pressed her lips. The fried dough sticks stuffed her mouth and made her face bulge. She took a piece of tissue to wipe her mouth, but Ye Chengwei could no longer take it. He went up and walked away.
“Come to my study later.” He sounded high and cold.
“Sister Rong, bring a sandwich to my study.” He couldn’t get used to common people’s life after all.
“Unreasonable.” An Ran muttered to herself.
Sister Rong walked to the kitchen with a smile to cook him a sandwich. She laughed. “You don’t know that the Young Master has prepared such a table of breakfast five years ago. But you were busy and left for other errands, Miss An.”
An Ran stopped eating the fried dough sticks and repeated dumbly. “Five years ago…”
