Oath of Love - Chapter 49
Chapter 49: I Like Good Girls (1)
An Ran didn’t dare have Zhang take her to her door. She had Zhang let her go when there were still two stops before her neighborhood and she walked home slowly.
During these past five years, the family of three still lived in that old neighborhood. Many neighbors had already moved away, even Ai Meimei’s family.
It was already hard for Gao Enying to raise two kids and have them complete university. She didn’t have any extra money to buy a new home. Thankfully, the siblings were good kids. They lived in that old house, but it was very heartwarming.
An Ran prepared to go buy groceries at the supermarket nearby before going home. By now, Gao Enying should be at work.
Just as she was about to enter the supermarket, she heard someone scream, “Stop him! Stop him! Thief!” It was a very anxious female’s voice.
A young man with a red purse suddenly rushed toward An Ran. Passersby didn’t know what was happening and no one stopped him. Just as this man, fast as wind, was about to brush past An Ran, she got the courage from somewhere and suddenly extended her leg. She tripped the man.
“You f*cking…” Seeing as someone tripped him, the man grew menacing. He cursed and got up. He tried to hit An Ran, but someone caught his raised arm.
An Ran was relieved. Two police officers had hurried over in time and stopped the man from committing violence.
“Miss, is this your bag?” The officer grabbed the bag from the man’s hands and gave it to An Ran.
“No,” An Ran said.
“It’s mine. Thank you,” a voice cut in. White clothing entered An Ran’s view.
She exchanged glances with the woman who’d lost her bag, but both froze. A strange feeling arose in An Ran’s heart—slightly familiar.
That woman was very pretty and elegant. She wore a white dress and had natural, wavy hair. She was like a fairy and made one comfortable.
Her temperament went without saying. She was very elegant and looked like a cultured princess.
Her bag had two letters on it: LV. No matter how uneducated An Ran was about name brands, she still knew these two letters.
“This is yours?” the officer asked.
“Yes.” The woman spoke delicately and was as comforting as a spring breeze. “I can tell you what’s in the bag.” She didn’t act like a spoiled brat and have a bad attitude. Instead, she cooperated with the officers.
She mentioned the main items in the bag. After the officer checked, he returned the bag to her and nodded at An Ran. “You should thank this girl. She tripped the thief, very brave.”
The last bit was praise for An Ran.
She smiled faintly.
“Thank you.” The white-dressed girl smiled at An Ran. She was both noble and endearing.
Other than celebrities, this was the girl who made An Ran feel the most comfortable to her eyes. She was so beautiful, elegant, cultured, and composed. It was as if everything good was gathered in her.
“No problem.” An Ran smiled in reply and walked into the supermarket.
“Hey!” the girl called out at An Ran’s back. She didn’t turn around and the girl didn’t call out again.
Perhaps giving her money would be disrespectful, she thought.
The girl smiled at herself and started walking away with her bag. She got into a red sports car on the side of the road.

An Ran bought some groceries and went home. Gao Enying wasn’t home now, naturally. She cleaned up the house and started packing her daily necessities into a suitcase.
This demon! An Ran grew frustrated as she packed. She sat on the bed, her mood falling.
