OmniClass Boss - Chapter 45
Chapter 45: Manster’s Gift
System prompt message: You have eaten Honey Cake. Your favoritism towards Non Cat-Eating Fish has increased by 10.
What? What? Teddy was speechless when he heard the message. It seemed like feeding the pet was the way to make one’s pet stronger in the game. He was scared that it would be suspicious if he refused to eat the cake and the cake was really good. He decided to eat all he wanted.
System prompt message: You have eaten Honey Cake. Your favoritism towards Non Cat-Eating Fish has increased by 10.
System prompt message: You have eaten Honey Cake. Your favoritism towards Non Cat-Eating Fish has increased by 10.
The message rang a few times and his favoritism towards Non Cate-Eating Fish was maxed.
“Haha, see, it works! My sister is a genius. Even the favoritism is maxed.”
“Too bad the powerful skill was not released in the end!” Hell Baron’s Father and Leftover Fighter lamented. This Hunter would become very strong in a short time because she had a powerful pet. Too bad they could not have more drops from the bear.
Luckily, the Gnoll Boss had dropped a few pieces of equipment.
[Name: Victim’s Skin]
[Type: Equipment—Breastplate (Leather Armor)]
[Quality: Excellent. Requirement: Level 14.]
[Features: Protection +14, Endurance +6]
[Remarks: This is an armor made of all kinds of weird leather. Rumors say that Gnolls have an extremely cruel tradition where they peel off the skins of the enemies they have slain and sew them onto their armor. The more skin sewn, the more brutal that Gnoll is.]
[Name: Gnoll Leader’s Signet]
[Type: Equipment—Accessory]
[Quality: Excellent]
[Feature: Health Points’s Upper Limit +66]
[Remarks: This is a strange metallic signet. It is the symbol of the Gnoll Leader (can only be used by Gnolls)]
[Name: Derek’s Beheading Sword]
[Type: Equipment—Arms (Two-Handed Sword)]
[Quality: Excellent. Requirement: Level 14.]
[Features: Attack 19-27, there is a certain chance of beheading to occur when the attack lands on the target. It will cause a critical hit and silence the target for 1 second.]
[Remarks: The best way to keep someone quiet is not covering his mouth, but cutting his neck.]
[Name: Manster’s Hide]
[Type: Equipment—Breastplate (Leather Armor)]
[Quality: Master. Requirement: Level 17.]
[Features: Protection +20, Endurance +10]
[Equipped Skill: Bear’s camouflage (Active). When used, you will be camouflaged as a black bear. Your buff remains in use.]
[Equipped Skill: Manster’s Curse (Passive). When worn, you can hear a weird noise whispering to you.]
[Remarks: A beautiful bear’s hide. There is a marking of a Druid. The meaning is unknown.]
Derek dropped more items than these, but they had been picked up by others. Nonetheless, these four items were a treat for them.
“Wow! It is so fun to do a story plot. There are so many items!”
“Yea, even a Master equipment appeared. But what the hell is a Manster?”
“Wait! The Archdruid is called Manster, right? Can it be…”
After some exciting discussion, their gudge for not getting Teddy’s drops was gone.
Supreme Sword said cunningly, “Since you guys caught an Elite as a pet, we should pick the equipment first.”
Tearless shrugged. The equipment was nothing to her. She had too much cash to spend anyway. She could just buy whatever she needed. All she wanted was for her sister to be happy.
“You can have all the drops.”
“Haha, what a lucky day. It is good to have rich people in the team,” the three of them thought.
“Okay, it’s settled!” The three of them quickly split the loot amongst themselves.
Supreme Sword got the Two-Handed Sword, Leftover Fighter got Manster’s Hide, and Hell Baron’s Father got Victim’s Skin and Gnoll Leader’s Signet. Although only a Gnoll could use the signet, he could still sell it for money in the auction house. There were players with Gnolls as Mercenaries, and it would be useful to them.
After they were done, they looked at the missing part of the wall. Some of the Adventurers rushed into the hole and killed some escaping monsters.
“Should we continue?”
“Of course. My blade is thirsting for blood,” Supreme Sword said excitedly. He was still thinking about the Goblin Boss.
“Let’s go, then!”
——————————
“Run! Do not stop! Do not stop!”
Xiao Yu ran while encouraging himself. He looked at his stats while running.
Eric (Goblin Flame Warlock) —
Monster Category: Human-type creature (Beginner Boss)
Affiliated Forces: Mud Horde (Goblin Wanderers)
Monster Level: Level 18
Monster Talent: Recoil (Passive).
Health Points: 2,400 (+2,000).
Mana Points: 430.
Strength: 28.
Endurance: 29.
Agility: 16.
Intelligence: 14.
Spirit: 13.
Skills: Bonfire, Secondary Fire Ball spell, Secondary Healing Spell, Flame Missile Storm (Boss skill), Summon Goblin (Equipped skill), Summon Fire Element, Activate Flame Mark.
Equipment: Chief Goblin’s Staff, Ahriman’s Priest Robe, Staff of Storm.
He was really strong now. The Boss Mode was indeed very powerful. He had a bonus 500% HP and thus his HP was now 2,400. Many restraining skills would be weakened or even useless against him when he had Boss Mode. Skills like Hex, Fear, Mind Control, and Temptation were all useless against him now.
With his new weapon, his power had a great leap too. Xiao Yu looked at his new staff again.
This Staff of Storm belonged to the Archdruid. Xiao Yu was not being so picky, because he had thought that everything would be over for him soon. He had only chosen this staff, but it was much better compared to his Chief Goblin’s Staff.
[Object Name: Staff of Storm]
[Type: Equipment—Arms (Two-Handed Staff)]
[Quality: Master. Requirement: Level 17.]
[Features: Attack 13-18, Spell Power +6, Spirit +4.]
[Equipped Skill: Wind Barrier (Summon a gust of wind and blow away anything that is within 8 meters, lasting 30 seconds. Cooldown 30 minutes. The effect will be weakened if the size of the object is too big.]
[Remarks: Made from Cenarius Council. Proof of Archdruid]
This was really good stuff. The stats were high and the Wind Barrier would be useful in group fights.
But now, he had to focus on how to survive the next 24 hours.
Xiao Yu ran as fast as he could. But Beowulf outran him easily. Guess there was no way for him to run faster than someone with four legs.
“Oi, where are the rest?”
Beowulf had no time to answer and roared before disappearing as a white light.
“Boss, wait for us!” Killer Codename 38 and Fearless were trying hard to catch up. He had only left with these two Goblins and some Gnolls. They were Derek’s classmates.
Finally, he got tired. He looked back and did not see any Adventurers. Xiao Yu suddenly stopped.
