OmniClass Boss - Chapter 60
Chapter 60: Eric’s Boss Battle (1)
“Haha, this dungeon is nice, we don’t need to chase after the Boss. The Boss just came to us, and it dropped two pieces of blue equipment at once. This dungeon is not a waste of time.”
The two Hunters said excitedly. The second Boss was a Gnoll Boss, and it had dropped two Leather Armor pieces, which were shared between the two of them. Naturally, they were happy to get the equipment, but the Mage was a bit depressed. So far, he had not gotten a single piece of equipment.
“God bless, I hope the next Boss deals magical damage,” the Mage prayed secretly in his heart..
It seemed that his prayer was effective and moved one of the Gods. When the fence of the arena was opened again, a magic-type Boss walked in.
Eric (Goblin Flame Warlock), level 18 Boss, together with an Elite Fire Elemental that was more than one person tall.
Seeing one of his own kind on stage, the Goblin Announcer’s voice was extraordinarily excited.
The Goblin Announcer said, “Look, guys, this time is the Flame Warlock, Chief Eric from Night Whisper Forest. He once led a monster army to sweep Night Whisper Village clean. He fought with the Gnolls and killed the fierce Hogg, and also broke through the territory of the Night Elves, drank their blood, and even stomped the Archdruid of the Cenarius Council. Now he’s here with us, and bringing us a wonderful battle! Following him is the powerful Fire Elemental he summoned from the Fire Elemental Plane. It seems that these Adventurers who dared to break into West Wild are doomed to drench the desert sand with their blood. So whether this battle can stop these Adventurers, we will learn soon.”
The Mage took a look at the Goblin Boss in front of him. “Damn, that Boss’ staff looks so cool, it better drop for me.”
Xiao Yu looked at the staff in his hands. The top of the staff was shining with lightning, and was indeed much better looking than the Chief Goblin’s Staff.
But the two hunters said, “Bullsh*t, I think the Boss’s clothes are good. It better drop the clothes.”
Again, Xiao Yu looked at his bearskin coat, and thought that they were already casting a greedy eye on all he had.
The Mage said angrily, “You will not get a share even if the clothes are dropped. You have all taken equipment, so even if the clothes drop, they will be mine.”
“Damn, can you even wear Leather Armor?”
“I can sell for money if I can’t.”
Xiao Yu was speechless as he listened to their conversation. Why were they discussing how to divide the spoils before starting the fight? “Hehe, it seems I have to show my real strength.”
As he thought this, he checked the stats of the Fire Elemental.
[Monster Name: Fire Elemental]
[Monster Category: Elemental Creature (Mid size Elemental Creature)]
[Monster Rank: Level 20 Elite]
[Skill 1: Fire Arrow—Fire Elemental will launch a Fire Arrow, and result in single target fire damage.]
[Skill 2: New Star of Fire—Fire Elemental uses itself as the center to release Fire Power around, which will result in an AOE damage (can cause damage to friendly forces by mistake).]
[Skill 3: Flame Shield (passive)—Fire Elemental will be shrouded in fire. Any enemies close to it will suffer from continuous fire damage.]
[Note: A strong Fire Elemental from the Fire Elemental Plane, which came to the Primary Plane for unknown reasons.]
As expected. Xiao Yu used to play as a Fire Overlord, hence he knew the skills of the Fire Elemental clearly. However, this Elite Fire Elemental had one more skill than the normal Fire Elementals, Flame Shield.
Looking at these three skills of the Fire Elemental, a strategy was formed in Xiao Yu’s mind quickly. This strategy could definitely work in dealing with this kind of newbie team.
Xiao Yu opened his mouth, and Boss lines came out of his mouth automatically.
Eric (Goblin Flame Warlock) said, “Excuse me, does someone want to borrow the fire from me?” As he spoke, a flame was gathered in his hand.
Big Bro shouted, “Stop quarreling, the Boss is coming. Let’s talk about it after this battle.” He was well respected in this team. At his command, the team members immediately stopped quarreling and positioned themselves in the formation.
“I’ll attack the Boss, the Priest will heal me when needed. Mage, be ready to do damage, and Hunters, distract the Fire Elemental!” Once the orders were given, the Adventurer team started to move.
“Got it.” The level 19 Hunter at the side shot the Fire Elemental with an Arcane Marksmanship. Being attacked, that Fire Elemental immediately rushed towards the Hunter instinctively. However, as Elemental Creatures were slow, the Hunter ran around the arena as he shot, and in the meantime, his pet also jumped up to bite and taunt to distract the Elemental Creature.
Xiao Yu did not care about the Fire Elemental. Although he could control it to attack the enemies, it would definitely be distracted if the Hunter’s pet was there. Thus, he decided to leave it alone, and it would be good if it could help distract the two Hunters.
Xiao Yu did not plan to rush over there. He would deal with the other players first. He was a Mage Boss, so he could never afford to rush up like the previous melee Bosses. Hence, he raised his staff and started chanting Flame Missile Storm.
Eric (Goblin Flame Warlock) chanted, “Fire Spirits around the world, listen to my call and come to my side—Flame Missile Storm!” A red array emerged under his feet, red energy gathered around him, and flame missiles began to form around him one by one.
The Warrior’s face was serious. The Boss seemed to be casting a ultimate move, which had to be stopped quickly. Then he charged forward with a Punch! He aimed right at the Boss’s face, but this did not stop the Boss from casting the spell. Seeing that the fireballs gathered in the air around him were getting more and more densely packed, the Warrior thought that this was not good, so he quickly raised his shield.
A series of fireballs shot at Big Bro like a machine gun. Although the first few were barely stopped by the shield, the impact of the explosions soon made his shield fly to the side. The Flame Missiles pounded the unshielded body of the Warrior like tracing missiles, and a series of numbers came out, which instantly cleared his HP almost to the bottom.
Nice chance! He had not expected such high damage to be dealt to the Warrior by a Flame Missile Storm. Xiao Yu hurriedly casted a Secondary Fire Ball Spell, wanting to kill this tank completely. But, unexpectedly, the Priest next to him raised his hand and released a shield. An invisible shield fell on the Warrior and pulled him back from the brink of death. Xiao Yu’s Secondary Fire Ball Spell’s damage was directly absorbed by the shield.
“F*ck, what high damage. Heal me, heal me!” The Warrior was stunned and shocked, and hurriedly shouted to the Priest at the back. With a few more healing spells, the Warrior’s HP was restored.
“Not bad, but even though you can escape my first attack, you may not be able to do so the second time. I’ll play with you slowly,” Xiao Yu thought as he started to cast Secondary Fire Ball Spells. The fireballs were thrown out one by one and the red characters came out, -78, -69, -81. After the data was adjusted, the power of the Secondary Fire Ball Spell had increased by many times, and its damage was not negligible. However, this amount of damage was not enough to threaten the Warrior, and his lost HP was restored by Priest. The Mage kept releasing Frost Arrows, and the Warrior sometimes used a sword to attack, or sometimes tried to stop the casting using Punch. This battle seemed to be a gang fight. But there was no choice, the Adventurers were just so shameless.
Xiao Yu was not in a hurry at all. The reason why that Warrior was still alive was that he had a shield to protect him. Now, without the shield, how could he still escape from death?
Seeing that 20 seconds had passed and Xiao Yu’s HP had been dropped by more than 500, he raised his staff again.
Eric (Goblin Flame Warlock) said, “Fire Spirits around the world, listen to my call and come to my side—Flame Missile Storm!”
It has to be said that the lines generated by the system were quite fun and very chuunibyou. But if he shouted this every time before he released his ultimate move, wouldn’t this be a reminder to the enemies? It was like explicitly telling the Adventurers to prepare for his ultimate move quickly.
