Phantasmal Genesis - Chapter 1
Meng Ke held a pair of soft, fleshy orbs in his hands, looking troubled.
A deathly pale and frightful woman lifelessly stood in front of him, unresponsive to his rude behavior.
“Can this be hardened?”
When he thought about doing it, Meng Ke immediately conjured up some images that could make this thing hard.
He breathe out, his expression turned serious, he then kneaded the soft fleshy orbs again, and the touch told him that this was incomparably hard.
It felt like squeezing on a rock.
“As expected, this female ghost came out of my brain!” Meng Ke muttered in shock.
Let’s go back.
Meng Ke was an online writer, after he reached a certain level of word count, he habitually clicked on a website to find a movie to watch.
“Grudge”
Start playing.
This was a habit of his, because he often had to stay up late to write books, which often made him sleepy, the usefulness of horror movies became clear.
Absolutely invigorating!
As the movie progressed, Meng Ke was taken aback even when he had seen the film before.
Soon, he suddenly felt the room was particularly quiet and that it was already night before he knew it.
An eerie breeze blew past his ears, and Meng Ke quickly shrank his neck.
What am I afraid of? Do ghosts exist in this world?
Consoling himself, he was still a little scared. His neck somewhat stiffly turn and look back.
A familiar bed, a familiar closet……
Suddenly, Meng Ke’s eyes widened and his body jumped up.
Behind the gap of the door, under the dark shadow, a pair of blood-red eyes, full of resentment, stared straight at him.
”F*ck! There’s a ghost!”
The female ghost crawled out of the crevice step by step, writhing eerily. The clattering echoed in the silent room.
Meng Ke grabbed the mouse in a panic and threw it without thinking.
Boom…!
The mouse wire suddenly straightened and rebounded.
Hiss!
Meng Ke pressed his knee in pain and looked angrily at the mouse on the ground. What the heck, you mouse even dared to bully Lao Tzu!
The more he thought about it, the more angry he became at the female ghost.
”Come on! Let’s hurt each other! mmp!”
Saying that, a computer chair was picked up and thrown at the ghost.
Boom…!
In Meng Ke’s astonished gaze, the computer chair passed through the ghost’s body, smashing straight at the door and making a loud noise.
The female ghost was still crawling, but suddenly Meng Ke realized that she’d been crawling for so long.
Why are you still there?
Meng Ke couldn’t help tilting his neck and looked at the ghost carefully. Slowly, he felt a connection with the ghost.
Indescribable, Meng Ke suddenly realized in an instant.
So, then everything from before.
The female ghost wasn’t truly real. Her existence was similar to a mirage. However Meng Ke could smell her fragrance and touched the softness of her skin.
”Am I hallucinating?” Meng Ke felt ridiculous.
Once again, Meng Ke looked at the female ghost and randomly thought .
The female ghost’s appearance became blurry. It turned into an electric fan with the sound of the whooshing wind. Then it turned into a bench, a rough surface, and a cute little girl with a cute voice that softened the heart.
”What is this? Superpowers?”
This kind of illusion that was infinitely close to reality completely changed according to his mind, as if there was no limit.
Meng Ke’s raised hand passed through the phantom. As long as the illusion had no tactile sensation in his imagination, he could pass his hand through without feeling anything.
”I should find someone to try it out, and if they could see it..that proves I wasn’t imagining it.”
It was evening again, and there were not as many people in the street as there were in the day, so Meng Ke packed up and went out.
He remembered that there was an alley near the compound.
Soon he was there, peeking inside, and sure enough, a scruffy beggar was rolled into a ball holding a dark quilt.
At the time when Meng Ke came to rent a house, he passed by this alley at night, and there was a sleeping beggar who rushed out drunk, yelling raucously which scared him into running away.
This scene left a great impression on him and that whenever he passed by this alley, he always feel his heart palpitated.
Now, using the beggar as guinea pigs could be regarded as tit-for-tat, a cycle of cause and effect!
”If that phantom was real, then ….”
After sorting out his thoughts, some images slowly began to appear in Meng Ke’s mind..
Just like the appearance of the female ghost, when he began to fantasize, a mysterious man in a black cloak emerged from the shadows of the alleyway, his face obscured by the black cloak.
And on the mysterious man’s waist, there was a long, crimson sword in the waistband, and a deadly air radiated from him as he slowly made his way to the sleeping beggar.
Under Meng Ke’s anxious and expectant gaze, the mysterious man raised his foot and kicked the beggar violently.
…
“Oh, did that motherf*ckr just step on me? ! Didn’t you see someone is here?! You’re hurting me!”
Munko watched disappointingly as the mysterious man’s foot pierced the beggar’s body, but the next second, the beggar screamed as if he were a cat with its tail stepped on.
Raising his eyebrows in surprise, Meng Ke figured out the reason at once. The mysterious man was an illusion, true, but in Meng Ke’s fantasy, the beggar’s foot hurt a lot.
The beggar couldn’t be kicked by the illusion of mysterious man, but he could be subjected to the same severe pain that was equivalent to being kicked. The illusion could affects his pain perception!
“Pay up! You kicked me! Pay the medical bills or you won’t leave!”
The beggar had a dark face and raised his head angrily, but the next moment, he froze.
What kind of person is this?
His blood-red pupils were like demons, silver-white hair, an eerie spiral pattern of wrinkles all over his face. The mysterious man looked down at the beggar with an incomparably, cold gaze.
In the distance, Meng Ke sensed a small light lit up in his head, attached to that light was an invisible thread from the beggar.
For some reason, Meng Ke suddenly realized that this light represented the beggar, because the beggar believe in the illusion, so the power of belief was generated.
Meng Ke could feel that the light seemed to generate energy by the interaction between the illusion and the human being, and the spiritual thread was a conduit for energy transmission. The closer the interaction between the illusion and the human, the more the human believed in the reality of the illusion, the more energy was generated, and if the light had sufficient energy. The mysterious man would become a reality.
Suddenly, Meng Ke’s heart quickly beats, and countless ideas almost break free his mind, it almost turned into an illusion. He was so excited that he couldn’t help himself.
”You……What do you want? … ”
Suddenly, the old beggar’s timidity sounded from the distance, Meng ke realized that he seemed to have forgotten them both for too long.
Meng Ke raised the corners of his mouth and smiled strangely.
Immediately, the mysterious man took a step forward without warning, which frightened the beggar. He scrambled back and squeezed into a corner, his cold sweat rain down his back.
”Don’t come here! I’ll scream if you come here! Help!”
His ruthless eyes stared at the panicked beggar. The voice of the mysterious man was low and magnetic, as the beggar approached the point of exhaustion……
”…Where is the bathroom?”
…
Silence.
The beggar was dumbfounded, his eyes dull, slightly open his mouth, looking on the mysterious man’s face, speechless.
F*ck!
You!
Go!
Eat!
Shit!
…!!!
What the hell!! You’ve been making so much trouble……just to ask about the bathroom? ! You played me like a fool? ! The beggar roared madly from the bottom of his heart, slumped down like a puddle of mud, looking at the mysterious man in disbelief.
The mysterious man saw that he didn’t reply for a long time, looked at the dumb down beggar, shook his head, and walked away.
”…I actually met a fool.”
What?!
The beggar jumped up from the ground, angrily pointing at the mysterious man’s back, shouting: “Who is what? Do you think I can’t hear you? Who’s the fool? ! Although I’m poor, ugly and uneducated, you can’t call me a fool!”
