- Chapter 114 - Please Be Quiet And Take Off Your “Something” Chapter 114
“This responsible attitude, I will make sure to follow your example, Mr. President!”
“Didn’t you say that you like me?”
Although precisely, she had asked if she could.
“But you said I should not.”
“Then that’s it?”
“I take no pleasure in forcing someone to like me.”
“You’re done with it just like that?”
Si-Jin had no idea what possessed him to express continuous discontent. Never in his life had he made such absurd remarks. Even despite being distressed by the fact that he himself knew how ridiculous he was being.
Na-Yool silently stayed lost in thoughts when she seemed to think of something.
“What is more, I do not much like people who look like you, Mr. President.”
“…What?”
“I try not to.” She smiled mischievously. “In case they might just be a pretty face.”
“……”
It sure was a first to be called a ‘pretty face’ right to said face. Si-Jin frowned with a dumb-founded look, but Na-Yool went on without noticing.
“You indeed look awesome when working, but to say I like you as a man just because of that is ridiculous, and office dating is so uncomfortable…”
“……”
“Of course, I would not even catch your attention either way.”
“……”
“It is the first time a man makes me feel so safe.”
“……”
“Ah, we are here. This is my apartment. You can stop over there, yes, the convenience store—”
Although he never intended to do anything, now Si-Jin could literally do nothing. He tried hard not to look at Na-Yool as she swayed herself out of her seat and walked with a swaggering gait around the taxi to lean her body against the back seat’s window where he was sitting.
But when her hand suddenly opened the door, it was hard not to turn around.
“Thank you very much for taking me home, Mr. President.”
“……”
“Thanks to you, I came back safely and comfortably. Thank you for paying the taxi fee too. You must be tired, yet you personally…”
She had only gotten off and walked a few steps, and she again looked about to puke. However, Na-Yool’s biological condition no longer mattered to Si-Jin. The only thing repressing the half-erected lecherous monster was the word ‘safe’ crushing it down, and this closeness made everything so restless and confusing. Right now, Si-Jin had to get away from this woman. He waved her off without a word to stop speaking and go already. Na-Yool’s nauseous face smiled brightly again, and she staggered away.
Now Si-Jin really needed to reform, and he needed to find a foolproof way to isolate the innocent culprit from his pathological desires.
*** [T/N: We are now sort of back to the present day, but not quite. There is a bit of Si-Jin’s retrospective thoughts left ]
Fortunately, Kim Na-Yool did not remember anything of that day. To be precise, with her personality, if she had remembered all of her endless chattering and Si-Jin’s daring absurdities, she would be too ashamed to lift her head. Or on the contrary, drearily entertain expectations on the issue of dating… But truly, fortunately, it was neither. Thanks to this, Si-Jin felt relieved, as if he had died and come back to life.
What he clearly remembered though, was that after he helped her, how she looked at him became strangely friendly. The fluttering intimacy and subtle longing mixed in her gaze was for him terrifyingly hard to bear… Looking into those eyes, he could not even remember the words “I don’t like people who look like you” that had hit him like a slap on the cheek.
Na-Yool’s gazes toward him grew more frequent than before. Her well-mannered speech also got warmer. And the more she did, the more Si-Jin instinctively kept reading into it. Under the illusion that she had fallen head over heals for him, he deluded himself that a reach of his arm was enough to catch her – full with the ignorant and beastly idea that he could get whatever he wants so easily, just like the jerks he had always loathed.
Whether the possibility of it happening existed or not was no matter to him anymore. Because it was never going to happen. The real matter resided in his wishful and deluded nature further fueling his endless desire.
Now, just a look at the approved documents with Na-Yool’s name on it would make the woman of his dreams appears in Si-Jin’s mind. Her lovely face scrunched, her hair disheveled, her expression flushed, her sucked-dry, bitten lips, and her moans promiscuous…
Si-Jin knew he would feel better quickly fapping it all away and forgetting it than enduring it. Like a robot, he would ejaculate while thinking of Na-Yool. But then, he would recall her pleasant voice claiming it was a first how safe she felt with him, hitting him with deep remorse and disgust. And once again, Si-Jin would search for a psychiatric hospital.
Even considering the issue from various angles, there seemed to be no suitable means. None, as long as he did not wrongfully fire her. Or as long as she kept walking around looking at him with these eyes.
Fondness. That damn innocent fondness… Na-Yool’s fondness was dangerous.
It was after half a month since she started working at Ethical Communications that the sign of a way out finally appeared in the pervert’s vision, who had lost all hope.
It was a single moment when Na-Yool unconsciously glared at him in the midst of being criticized for her work.
Si-Jin miraculously found a way to survive.
He just had to make her not like him.
Yes, all he had to do was to nip in the bud any damn possibility. And it did not even require any special effort. After all, with his eyes specially trained in finding fault with every people, he was used to nitpicking at them on a daily basis. [T/N: He is talking about the possibility that she might or might not fall for him. Instead of being unsure, he would rather make her hate him so that the possibility does not even exist].
The pervert regained peace in an instant and Na-Yool, like all the ordinary employees, faced misfortune now that the enjoyable early days of joining the company had passed.
This is how it all started. Until, to Si-Jin’s surprise, he got hard again upon reading her name printed on some papers.
Chapter 29 – Wednesday night 9:23 p.m.
[T/N We’re back to present]
“Is there really nothing I can help you with?”
“Hm, there is.”
“What?”
“To stay put.”
Na-Yool, who was prowling around the kitchen, drew a long face. It was not her first time watching from the side without helping, making her feel self-conscious about it.
Si-Jin was preparing a light meal, arguing it was good to grab a bite here and then when hungry. The dish neither looked easy to make nor light at all. But according to him, it was so.
When she saw him scoop the pasta up, Na-Yool let out an exclamation. Si-Jin turned to her with bafflement.
“This deserves a ‘wow’?”
“You are like a chef…!”
“…Just by boiling noodles?”
As she nodded her head enthusiastically, Si-Jin laughed.
“You see, I am really bad at cooking.”
“I know.”
“…Mr. President, you have never seen me cook before.”
“I don’t need to know.”
“……Anyway, people who are good at cooking are amazing.”
Na-Yool retreated. The sight of the clams with their mouths open mixed in the pasta already made her feel like she had arrived at a restaurant. Such a professional feeling. So real!
“Go sit down. I’m almost done.”
“Can I eat while watching TV?”
“Are you a kid?”
“…Can’t?”
“Why not? Watch it.”
His tone was relaxed, as though implying she could do anything she pleases in his house. Si-Jin grabbed Na-Yool distractedly pacing left and right by the waist and gave her a peck. Then he whispered, his lips still pressed against her skin.
“Go watch something fun.”
Na-Yool still had absolutely no immunity to this part of him. He did not have a particularly affectionate voice, and neither did he deceitfully promise to be good to her.
He was natural. He spontaneously paid attention to her, and naturally treated her well. Sweet, but not overly so.
Rather, if Si-Jin’s character had changed dramatically, it would just be the result of a man-made effort. He was so natural that Na-Yool was on the contrary surprised by this duplicity of his personality. How could someone switch like this?
His attitude at the company had not changed a bit, but all her other moments with him were like right now.
