- Chapter 20 - Please Don’t Come To The Villainess’ Stationery Store! Chapter 20
“H-Hyung-nim, that woman is laughing.”
“Yeah, because it’s funny.”
Five or six muscular men surrounded me.
I glanced indifferently at the tattoos on the muscular arms and bumpy bodies.
“I’m afraid I’m a little poor, so I can’t give you the money.”
I rotated my shoulders lightly and gave them a cheer. I had a refreshed feeling all over my body.
‘You’re all dead.’
Of course, the pirates wouldn’t know that.
“You’re from the gutter, you are.”
A man walked up to me. It was the red-haired man who looked like the captain.
“Thanks to women like you who don’t know what’s going on, we’re making a living.”
I could see that there was a lot of ridicule toward me from the Red Diocese Pirates.
As soon as I heard their ridicule, I found an important fact.
‘They’re rich, is what they’re saying, right?’
I asked indifferently and chicly, but I couldn’t hide my voice from trembling.
“Then you guys must have a lot of money, right?”
“Yeah, a lot.”
One of them giggled showing his back pocket.
There were white envelopes and bills inside. There were also jingling sounds.
I hallucinated for a moment.
The hallucination where faces started to look like bundles of money.
‘I’ve already spent a lot of money on new stationary and the interior designing.’
I think I’ll get a lot of money.
Then I could use that money to hire a wizard above the intermediate level, right?
‘Okay, I’m going to take care of them now.’
I only have a little bit of money left to spend for a while, so it’s a good thing.
I glanced behind me.
Dominique nodded back at me.
It was a sudden conclusion of negotiations.
It’s time to win now.
They were lured into the yard because they couldn’t fight in the tavern.
And surprisingly, the Red Diocese Pirates were no match for me. It should’ve been obvious since I took Dominique’s strength.
‘They’re muscular but soft.’
I was relieving my stress properly thanks to Dominique.
I just hit them a little and they fell down like dominos.
If I just touched the gangster’s body,
Bam, bam bam!
…there was a sfx that seemed to only show up in movies.
‘Am I too strong? It’s so cool!’
I stepped on them with more excitement.
I gave one a slap and broke another’s wrist.
They tried kicking, but I grabbed the kicking ankle. The kicking speed looked like an ant’s crawl.
“Aaak!”
I laughed because I easily grabbed and broke the foot.
“Next, there isn’t anyone?”
Of course there wasn’t.
Because I finished them in a flash!
Everyone groaned on the floor.
The sprawled muscle thugs murmured vainly.
“Just how…”
“H-how is such a skillful person…here?”
I laughed with the corner of my mouth.
Dominique’s power was definitely amazing.
I was just waving my hands, but the generals were stamping their knees.
“You’re all just a bunch of shitty bastards.”
I decided to handle the cowardly guys in an even more cowardly way.
Seeing the muscles on their arms twitch, I began to swing my arms to threaten them.
“Hey, give me everything you have.”
“Hiik… monster…”
Monster?
I frowned at them.
How dare you call me a monster.
I didn’t kill them. I just hit them, so what’s wrong with them?
“Have you ever seen such a nice monster?”
I laughed contentedly, picking up the gold coins they had in their pockets.
“S-sorry…!”
With this money, I can hire a wizard for three months!
I laughed and stepped on their hands.
“You’re too quiet”
“S-sorry. We understand!”
They’re weak to the strong and strong to the weak. But…
I squinted.
My eyes were on the guy with a tattoo on his collarbone. One of the Red Diocese Pirates was secretly protecting his pockets.
“Hey, you. I hear a jingle in your pocket.”
It looked like he’s hiding money.
I stared at the man with a shaved head. Then the man handed over a bag.
When I took the bag, the corners of my mouth raised.
But I heard a quiet whisper in my ear.
“…a-arent you stingy?”
“How could you take even the change…”
It seemed like the road was still under way.
I smiled mildly and reached out towards the man who called me stingy and grab! I caught him.
“What did you say just now?”
Oh, you looked so strong but you’re caught so limply. Dominique’s power really is amazing!
“A-aahk!”
“I-I’m sorry. His mouth is idiotic!”
I gently stepped on one of his fingers and spoke mildly.
His face turned blue.
“Don’t even think about coming here in the future. Understand?”
But why.
After beating them up and making their hands shake, I heard a loud noise in my ears.
Curious, I looked around.
‘What the hell, why did so many people came here?’
“J-just in case, we called people…”
Lily covered her mouth and stared with wide eyes.
“Ah, really?”
I pretended to shake my hand and laughed.
There was quite a crowd, with me and the Red Pirates in the center.
It was time for their eyes to turn inwards.
“Amazing!”
“Are all those guys taken care of?”
“How…”
“It was 17 vs 1! I saw it!”
What are you saying? It was 8 vs 1…?
However, the false rumors spread quickly.
The looks of awe were directed at me, and I felt very, very burdened.
‘Is this a dream?’
I closed and opened my eyes and looked around again.
Among the spectators, people wearing vests with badges of ‘Alley Commercial Revival Association’ stood out.
I looked around to find the owner of the tavern, Lessa.
She looked over with an emotional expression.
“Because I was beaten, she turned up like a hero of justice and wiped them all out.”
Lessa seemed to be responsible for the merchant association. The aftermath from what she said was powerful.
“A, a, a young woman defeated the Red Diocese Pirates!”
“She beat them!”
“Just what is with this atmosphere?”
Dominique came to my side and spoke quietly.
“Mel.”
“Dominique?”
Before I knew it, Dominique, who stood beside me as a follower, put a small blanket around my shoulders.
“You worked hard.”
“…?”
Huh? I did work hard. But aren’t you the one who gave me this power in the first place?
But after hearing Dominique’s remarks, the people who gathered there seemed to be regarding me as a tremendous person.
“As expected! What an amazing wizard!”
“No, I’m just a stationary store owner.”
They didn’t seem to believe me no matter what.
Among them, the most burdensome ones came before me quickly.
They came all the way to me, stepping on the feet, legs, and hands of the Red Diocese Pirates.
“You knew they were bothering us, so did you overpower them because of your sense of duty?”
I glanced at him instinctively. Black glasses and a fake card hanging on his neck.
The style of a typical hot-shot journalist.
‘Maybe I could ask to advertise!’
“…No. It’s all a mistake. I’m tired and my fists are tingling and sore. It was really scary. But, perhaps…”
“Yes?”
“Are you a reporter?”
“Yes…”
I gave him a capitalist smile.
Oh. Then the story changed.
“Please advertise our stationary store.”
I spoke quickly, so I wouldn’t miss the opportunity.
“Stationary store?”
The man asked curiously.
“It’s like a grocery store. It’s a new opening in front of the Academy. We sell school supplies, drinks made of ice, and beer candy.”
“Drinks made of ice? The unit price must be extremely high…”
I shook my head and laughed.
“Curious, aren’t you?”
I didn’t forget my public relations, so I tapped my hand to freshen the atmosphere.
The reporter answered after squeezing his card.
“Yes…”
“I’ll request a good article. I’ll treat you later.”
I didn’t know if his article would be in the newspaper or not, but where did the eyes of a reporter go?
“Then go on with your business.”
I grinned.
When I recalled the money I took from the pirates, I felt like tap dancing.
Listening to the buzzing of the people around me, I spoke, pushing one of the pirates back coolly and entering the tavern.
“I’ll get going.” No one’s going to bother me anymore, right?
I walked in the tavern peacefully.
“You said earlier. It’s a good plan and you want to do it together. But you didn’t think it was going to work because of the payment.”
Lessa rubbed her red eyes and turned around.
“…I did.”
I spoke cheerfully as I heard her trembling voice.
“Now that we’ve taken care of our troubles, shall we start developing our items?”
Lessa, the tavern owner, turned her head again and looked at me.
‘…is she crying?’
I reached my hand out to her teary face and nodding head.
“I’ll help with anything, if it’s something I can do.”
She held my hand with her trembling hand.
