- Chapter 36 - Please Don’t Come To The Villainess’ Stationery Store! Chapter 36
Duke Vaveloa, scratching his neck with hives, found Hildegart on his way back to the banquet hall. She was directing the maids herself to prepare for the banquet.
He strode towards his wife.
“I greet Your Excellency.”
The Duchess bowed her head in a formal manner.
“Did you know that? About Meldenique.”
Duke Vaveloa began to scream.
“Ah, yes. She’s doing business in front of the Academy?”
Duchess Vaveloa answered quietly.
“You knew but you didn’t tell me?”
“You wouldn’t have liked it, right? You were the one who kicked her out. I couldn’t say it because it would have upset you.”
She had a grumpy smile on.
“…It’s correct that I did kick her out and initiated the excommunication, however.”
Duke Vaveloa answered, rubbing his sweaty forehead.
“I feel… hm.”
“……”
“Anyway, go again. She will, of course, welcome us with both her feet. That child’s always wanted to be recognized by me.”
With those words, Duke Vaveloa turned around.
“…there is not much time left until the excommunication trial, so she’ll be brought back to the family.”
Duchess Vaveloa looked at his back with terrifying eyes.
It was obvious that indecisive low life was mulling over the memories of Meldenique’s childhood.
‘She has to be excommunicated.’
You’re going to ignore her, neglect her, and then ask how she’s doing? It’s not even funny.
Although Hildegart also used humans as tools, Duke Vaveloa looked shameless in her eyes.
She swept her red hair and bit her lips.
It had been a long time.
In a long time, Meldenique seemed to be threatening Sheria’s position. Even though she was still a threat to the world.
‘I have to prevent Duke Vaveloa from finding her.’
She chewed on her lips, plucking down the flower stalks she had prepared for the gardening party.
Recently, Hildegart hired a group called the Red Diocese Pirates, who controlled the area, to deal with Meldenique.
But Meldenique took care of them as if they were willing to be taken care of. She even made her name known because of that matter.
Of course, the fact that Meldenique opened a stationery store hadn’t been widely spread yet, and only a short report of the outskirts in the newspaper that she had dealt with the Red Diocese Pirates was published.
But…
‘Did you use a magic artifact? According to the three men, the tavern’s skills aren’t impressive, and they’ve always struggled. Was it luck?’
Hildegart covered her nervous face and bit her lips.
‘I have to deal with her before my daughter gets back.’
How long have you been waiting there like that?
A maid carefully evoked the atmosphere.
“Excuse me, Madame.”
It seemed that all the young ladies and wives gathered in the midst of her anger.
Hildegart loosened her stiff mouth and sat down.
“Ahh, they came. Sit down, everyone. Maid.”
“Yes. I will put it up right away, Madame.”
When the maid winked, several women brought in tea on a trolley.
There were sweet tarts with flower syrup, short cakes with seasonal fruits, a warm salmon pie, and a warm black tea with a fragrant rose scent.
After a few minutes of calm passed, she immediately put the tea cup to her mouth and smiled.
“The reason I invited the wives and young ladies here is because of a new project in my family.”
“Oh my!”
Hildegart smiled lightly and spoke, “Our family is now going to collaborate with Duke Hesman to do business for the children who are about to make their social debut.”
“I’m so excited!”
The Duchess was called the Golden Hand. It wasn’t unreasonable for young ladies to scream when she stated that she’s starting a new business.
“We’ll be launching it soon, so please look forward to it. Ah-.”
Hildegart deliberately stopped.
“-thinking about it, my daughter, Meldenique, also set up a new business in front of the Academy.”
“My goodness, don’t tell me this time again…”
“I feel very proud that she is able to overcome her failures and continue on with business.”
Duchess Vaveloa gave a beautiful smile of courtesy that gave her the name of name of the angel of society.
“So, I’m thinking of partnering Mel and Sheria when she gets back. No matter how much I think about it, Mel alone is too much…”
As she pretended to be a kind and noble wife, the wives of the high-ranked noble families, including the Duchess, frowned.
“The Duchess is really kind. Even so, Princess Meldenique is a bit…”
“…that’s right.”
Covering their mouths with their fans, they looked at each other.
So far, there had been so many misdeeds and ruined businesses by Meldenique.
Meldenique, so to speak, was no more than a social laughingstock. And for today, it was the same.
“I know. I’m sure she’ll grow up, someday.”
Hildegart smiled lowly.
This year’s Meldenique was lucky. She managed to avoid Hildegart’s eyes and even luckily disposed the Red Diocese Pirates.
‘But…’
The small store in front of the Academy was bound to be in ruins.
Because giant dinosaurs named Vaveloa and Hesman were about to make their way to the Academy.
Hildegart smiled softly.
Meldenique Vaveloa will lose again this time. It seems like she is interacting with children in moderation now, but event hat will be cut off.
‘Enjoy it now, Meldenique. Sooner or later, you’ll crash miserably again.’
She tried to smile, hiding her poisonous thoughts.
***
I laughed low, opening the note that the postman handed me a while ago.
[There is three weeks left until the excommunication trial.]
Finally, three weeks left. Besides, no one was coming to see me. Good.
I crumpled the note with a hearty laugh. It was going well as planned.
“Dominique, there aren’t many customers today. Right?”
Not many customers visited the stationery store today.
“Because they’re nobles, maybe they don’t want to come to a place where commoners come to play?”
Stationery stores seemed to have an unexpected barrier to enter. First-come children are coming in steadily, but…
‘The number of children coming is so small it’s a problem…’
“It’ll work out somehow!”
I clenched my fist and struggled to come up with happy thoughts.
At then, a neat knock was heard outside.
Oh my. Who is it?
“What a bother.”
Dominique frowned slightly. He was a sword who thought everything was annoying, but it was the first time he had reacted like this.
‘Just who is it?’
I shrugged my shoulders and opened the stationery store’s door. Just because the child who visited wasn’t coming in.
But in front of me was not a child, but Prince Cassian.
“Princess Meldenique.”
Then he handed me a small flyer and got straight to the point.
“Have you perhaps seen this flyer?”
I blinked at the flyer he gave me.
[A new store by Vaveloa and Hesman will be opened.]
A large store organized by Duchess Hildegart has made its first dig in front of the Academy.
It would soon be decorated as a special shop aimed at aristocratic children.
A more meaningful product launched by ‘Vaveloa – Hesman’ for the first time.
It is known that Duchess Hildegart will take proper command for the time being until Lady Sheria returns.]
‘Oh my, a big store?’
Was this what Hildegart and Duke Delkman did in the novel?
Furthermore, it’s a project aimed at aristocratic children. This would make it difficult to avoid them. A dull-scale collision was rational.
“…thank you.”
I grabbed the flyer from his hand and immediately headed in to address it. It was to check the situation in detail.
