Chapter 50: Rumors Truly could Not be Believed

“Elder, this…” Su Yuntian did not expect the elder to be so direct. It was not that he could not retract his imperial edict, but it was impossible for him to retract it so easily.

Previously when Empress sent her the letter, there was nothing important written on top, but at the very bottom of it, there was a small line of words that told her to meet Empress Dowager at this timing at night.

Originally, she could just ignore the message, and she had no intention of coming over. However, when she was burning the letter, a line of words seemingly appeared in the fire. If she had not seen it, she would have missed it. It was precisely because of that line of words she saw in the fire, which made her appear at this place.

“Since Third Miss asked, then I’ll be straightforward. I do indeed know about your father’s whereabouts, but that was from many years ago. I can’t guarantee if he’s still there currently.” Empress Dowager Feng Hanyan said while looking at Su Ruoxi.

“Hehe, really? If it’s so, I think you can forget about this matter. If everyone uses uncertain information to strike a deal with me, wouldn’t I be worked to death?” Su Ruoxi smiled lightly.

Back in the Imperial Jail, Su Ruoxi asked Mo Lian to return to Mo’s mansion and made her find someone with a similar figure to Su Ruoxi’s amongst Su Ruoqi’s servant girls.

Then, she took out a ‘Change Appearance’ pill and combined it with her blood before feeding it to the servant girl. Afterward, she used Little White to wipe her memory and insert a piece of Su Ruoxi’s memory in her brain.

After everything was done, Su Ruoxi and Mo Lian left the Imperial Jail, leaving a girl with the exact same appearance as Su Ruoxi sleeping unconsciously in it.

Su Ruoxi and Mo Ye returned straight to the Pavilion of the Assassins. Looking at Mo Ye, Su Ruoxi asked, “How are things at the Ye side?”

“Master, the people from The Best Manor have already seen Shen Fei in secret and have sent a message back. I believe The Best Manor people would rush over in no time,” said Mo Lian truthfully.

“Mm, let Mo Ye protect them in secret for now, and we’ll discuss again when the people from Shen Manor arrive,” said Su Ruoxi.

“Yes, Master!” Mo Lian answered.

“Have some rest,” said Su Ruoxi.

“Okay,” answered Mo Lian as she backed away.

In the room, there was only Su Ruoxi left. With a tingle of her heart, she was back in the space and directly took out a map from her arms. This was given to her by Empress Dowager.

When she was burning Empress’s letter at first, the line of words that appeared in the fire was ‘If you want to know of Su Zhe’s whereabouts, come to Feng Yi Palace’.

If it was not for this sentence, she would not care about Empress Dowager or Feng Yi Palace. From Empress Dowager’s words, she had learned of a few matters.

However, Su Ruoxi did not believe her completely. As the Empress Dowager of the royal family, her words were not completely believable. Based on what Feng Hanyan said, back then, she followed the late Emperor—Su Yuntian’s father and Empress Dowager’s husband, Su Jingchen—to act as commoners and mingle amongst the crowd, but he was assassinated then.

To protect Feng Hanyan, Su Jingchen was assaulted by somebody. It was the few shadow guards that were with them, who had vowed to protect the emperor with their lives, which allowed the two of them to escape.

However, in the middle of the road, Su Jingchen fainted due to his severe injury and Feng Hanyan used all her might to help Su Jingchen up and escape. In the end, as she was not familiar with the roads, she walked to a cliff without being able to advance or retreat.

When the assassins caught up with them, Su Jingchen did not want to be humiliated, so he hugged Feng Hanyan and jumped down. Who would have known that both of them were lucky enough to survive and landed in a lake?

After they woke up, both of them recuperated from their wounds at the foot of the cliff before slowly finding a way to go back up. When they were finding their way bitterly, there was a glowing door that appeared in the cave that they were living in. Curiosity got the better of them, and they walked in to take a look.

They did not expect to find many precious treasures, heaps of Mystique Stones, golden coins, many elixirs, and weapons. However, they could only look at them, but they could not take them as the road in front of them was blocked by an enchanted boundary.

They could not break it open no matter what. In the end, they found some words at the side of the enchanted boundary. Upon looking at it, they realized that the place that was hiding the treasure was the entrance to the Dancing Phoenix Mystic Realm.

However, to activate the realm, they first had to have the complete map.
