Rakish Prince’s Courtship - Chapter 56
Chapter 56: Save People in Danger (Part 4)
“What do you mean?” Su Luo raised her small, smooth face. Her beautiful eyes were bright and alluring.
“You’re not easy to fool.” Nangong Liuyun’s slender index finger glided across her delicate nose.
Nangong Liuyun could typically get as many girls as he wanted. Women would throw themselves at him if he wiggled his fingers. Yet no matter how he tricked or cheated her, this girl just wouldn’t bite.
Granted, this might be better since it stirred his resolve, and he was even more determined to take her hand in the end.
Su Luo shot him an angry glance.
To be honest, Nangong Liuyun was exceptionally handsome. His face was so bewitching it could almost mesmerize and even freeze people.
“Focus on the drama. Don’t let your attention wander.” Su Luo glanced at him evasively and turned her face away. She didn’t see the bitter smile in Nangong Liuyun’s eyes.
Just then, the fight in the lobby became intense and was close to the end…
People who chose to be bodyguards usually didn’t have very high martial arts skills. Because of that, the fight was as good as lost for the Zhao family…
Even though they took advantage of their large numbers and rushed forward as a group, they were no match for the little geniuses from the Imperial Academy out on their field trip.
Soon, the bodyguards from the Zhao family had all been cut to pieces.
At the moment, the lobby was a bloodbath. The sight of a dozen bodies lying on the floor in disarray was hard to bear.
Miss Liu ran over to the grandfather and his granddaughter, who were crying their eyes out, and pulled them up. She said to them excitedly, “You can rest assured now that no one will bully you in the future! No need to kneel on the floor. Get up.”
While bestowing her favors, Miss Liu didn’t forget to steal a glance at the second floor where Su Luo was.
Su Luo caught Miss Liu’s expression. Su Luo stole a quick look at Nangong Liuyun out of the corner of her eyes and didn’t say anything.
It seemed that Nangong Liuyun was again the reason behind such trouble.
She had to admit that sometimes a woman’s intuition was frighteningly accurate.
Miss Liu saw that the grandfather and the granddaughter were still kneeling in place, dumbfounded, with vacant looks on their faces. She couldn’t help but stomp her feet and said, “I already said you don’t have to kneel anymore. Getting rid of the bad guys to help the good folks is the responsibility of Martial Arts practitioners. You don’t have to express your gratitude.”
Puhh– Su Luo almost spat out her water.
It turned out that Miss Liu thought they were kneeling because they couldn’t thoroughly express their gratitude to her. Su Luo really didn’t know what to say about Miss Liu.
“Who was that?” Sharp-eared, Miss Liu heard someone jeer and ran upstairs. She locked her eyes on Su Luo and said, “Was it you who laughed at me before?”
However, her eyes widened when she saw Su Luo’s face. It was as though she was stunned.
“You, you’re…” Miss Liu stuttered in disbelief.
“Do I know you?” Su Luo blinked innocently. Her lovely eyes appeared to be slightly dazed.
No. No way.
This girl couldn’t be Su Xi’s imbecilic fourth sister. It must just be someone who looked like her. Besides, how could an idiot like Su Luo be allowed to sit next to Prince Jin?
Yes. Miss Liu had recognized the perfect Prince Jin the moment she saw the Dragon Scale Horse outside the door. She acted out of character and helped the grandfather and granddaughter solely to impress Prince Jin.
She believed that it would give Prince Jin a good impression of her. Then… She would pretend to bump into him and use the situation to approach the man of her dreams.
That was also why she had seized the chance to run to the second floor the moment Su Luo made that mocking sound.
Prince Jin was right there on the second floor. She was confident that he would fall for her as long as she acted unassumingly and manipulated the situation a bit considering how much better she was than Su Luo. It was entirely unexpected that she would run into such a rare opportunity.
