Chapter 10: Going Home

The White family had two sons, Alexander and Zane.
The two brothers were three years apart, but their personalities were completely different from each other. One was cold and icy, but the other was hot and passionate.
Zane’s child was already five years old, yet Alexander was still a bachelor.
And now he finally got a wife, but she was slightly mentally unstable.
She didn’t even have to think to know that this meeting of theirs would be a warzone.
“What kind of woman does your family like? Someone gentle? Or cheerful?” Luna grabbed several pieces of clothing and asked Alexander for his opinion. “Which one do you think is more suitable?”
Alexander raised his eyebrow and asked, “Why not ask me what kind of girls I like?”
Luna’s hand holding the clothes stopped in mid-air, “Then what kind of girls do you like, President Alexander?”
President? They’re going to get married soon and she still called him president?
Alexander didn’t reply to her question and pointed at the tight blue gown she was holding. “This one! My parents will like it.”
“I see,” Luna didn’t notice his emotion and merely returned to her room with the clothes after giving her a nod.
After a while, a young woman wearing a blue gown and white high heels appeared before her.
Her figure was perfectly sculpted. It was a perfect S shape.
Especially her thin waist. The way she swayed when she walked was like a burning touch, burning away all the coldness in Alexander’s eyes.
“I don’t have time to do my hair, but this is fine, right?!” Luna’s wavy hair was behind her. The only makeup on her elegant face was some lipstick. She asked, “President Alexander?”
Alexander finally snapped back and caught her hand. “What did you call me?”
Luna finally saw the unhappiness in his eyes. “Then… Alexander?”
“Alexander, huh?” Alexander muttered the word. “That’s fine for now!”
He could ask her to change how she calls him later. At least, this was better than calling him president.
Luna didn’t know what he was thinking and tried to pull her hand out. Instead, all she got was a sharp, biting glare.
She had no choice and gave up, and Alexander led her through the front door and sat in the car.
“Hey, what happens if your parents don’t like me?” Luna began to think about what she would need to experience later. She didn’t know why she was so nervous. “Right, how’s your younger brother’s temper?”
Looking at her expression, Alexander couldn’t help but laugh. He said, “You’re not even afraid of Ricardo Muti but you’re afraid of this? This is really news to me.”
Luna mumbled, “That’s different…”
She couldn’t really tie up Alexander’s family and then beat them up, right?!
If she really did that, she was probably not far from being killed off.
“It is only a meal and just for a while,” Alexander stroked her head. “Other than my father being a little strict, everyone’s pretty easy going. Except …”
“Except?” Luna pressed.
“Except my little nephew. My parents may have spoiled him a little too much. He likes to move around when he eats and likes to play pranks on others. Just pay him no mind,” Alexander explained. “If he pranks you, let me know!”
However, he didn’t believe that someone who could cause an upheaval in Golden Paradise would be controlled by a child.
Luna let out a sigh of relief. There was nothing to be afraid of if it was just a spoiled brat.
As for the others, getting all worked up wouldn’t help at all. She simply had to deal with them as they came!
Once they reached Alexander’s family home, he led Luna into the mansion as he held her hand.
When the butler saw him come back, he was smiling ear to ear as he greeted him, “Master Alexander, welcome home. I will inform the master and madam immediately.”
He then went in and reported their arrival, completely treating Luna as if she were invisible.
It was obvious that Alexander’s family didn’t like his fiancée at all.
But what could she do when the original was so foolish?
She had done so many stupid things and ruined her own reputation. There was nothing she could do.
Once she entered the mansion together with Alexander, his mother was the one that greeted them first, “Alexander, you’re finally home. Let me see… Oh, you lost weight again…”
Alexander pursed his lips, and said, “Mom, this is Luna.”
Jade Summers then turned her sight to Luna. Her entire attention had been focused on her son when they entered just now.
When she took a better look, only then did she notice that the eldest daughter of the Brooke family was indeed a beauty.
This figure. This face. Not only would it be impossible to find someone of a similar caliber in Auburn, but it might also be difficult even if they look for one throughout the country.
Unfortunately… She was mentally unsound.
“Oh my, I must apologize for only speaking to Alexander. Come, have a seat! Make yourself at home.”
Luna nodded and said, “Thank you, ma’am.”
“Where’s Dad?” Alexander used this chance to look around. “Zane is out again?”
Jade said with a smile, “He heard that you’re coming back, so he accompanied his wife to go buy some ingredients. She said that since you’re finally back, she wanted to show off some of her cooking skills. Your dad’s in his study. You know him, no one dares to interrupt him when he’s reading.”
Just as they were talking, the sound of the courtyard gate being opened could be heard.
Not long after, a little boy ran toward them. “Uncle! You’re finally back!”
Alexander crouched down and hugged the little boy literally hopping into his arms. “Have you been a good little boy, Calix? Have you been listening to your mother?”
“If only.” Zane, who came in with bags in his hand, began to complain. “We have to call him to dinner several times every time and he doesn’t want to sleep at night either. It’s so frustrating!”
“Oh, stop it. It’s rare for Alexander to come back and have dinner, you don’t have to complain to him like that!” A woman wearing a beige-colored outfit walked in. Her face was quite small with clear and bright eyes.
“Alexander. Sister-in-law.”
This was the first time that someone greeted her after she arrived at the White family home. With a smile, she greeted back, “Hello.”
Zane took back little Calix from Alexander, and then gave Luna a smile as well when he looked at her. “Hi!”
While he had heard of Luna’s reputation, he was also someone that had been running around since his youth. He knew that even his eyes could deceive him, and therefore wasn’t as hostile towards her.
“I’ve bought some fresh asparagus. It’ll go well with the prawns,” After Willow had confirmed what they wanted to have for dinner with Jade, she then turned to Luna. “Is there anything you want to eat? I can try making it for you.”
“I’m fine with anything. It doesn’t have to be anything special,” Luna said. She really liked Willow’s eyes and she continued by saying, “Let me help you! I know how to cook too.”
Willow said with a smile, “Thanks then. All Zane knows is to eat and he doesn’t help me much at all!”
“No way!” Zane quickly argued as he still had his son in his arms. “I gave you a massage yesterday!”
Willow’s face became slightly red as she glared at Zane.
While Alexander was standing on the sidelines, he wasn’t sure why, but he was feeling somewhat envious about something that he had already seen again and again…
