Chapter 39 Chapter 39: Finally Meeting Their Savior!
He opened his personal interface.
[ Character: Su Yun ]
[ Realm: Martial disciple, advanced stage ]
[ Firearm: [Yellow Flame) 10% ]
[ Weapon: Spirit – advanced level ( Flaming Skin ]
Spirit – advanced level ( Demonic Ape Body )
Transcendent -perfect grade [ Boiling Blood ] ]
[ Cultivation Method: [ Spiritual Qi Technique ] ]
[ Evaluation 1: some defensive ability, slightly fire offensive ability. ]
( Evaluation 2: Currently, the strength of a peak fifth grade demonic beast can burst out from his body! ]
Currently, his strength has caused his realm stat to level up quite a bit, from martial disciple intermediate stage to the advanced stage.
If he looked at it, his method’s efficiency was quite high!
From becoming a martial artist to a martial disciple advanced stage, and it had only been less than a month!
If he had this cultivation speed a few years ago, he would have been able to become a great grandmaster long ago, and not just this, half-baked great grandmaster.
Actually, it wasn’t easy for him at his age. Sometimes going back to the basics is a way for self improvement.
However, he already turned his body into a divine weapon.
It was normal for him to want to improve faster.
Ever since he had the system, he had refined his skin, his muscles, and even his blood had become a perfect transcendent weapon. He already had a very strong ability to absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
He had completely eliminated the inefficiency of his body in absorbing spiritual energy.
There was also the current cultivation technique he had recently learned, [ Spiritual Qi Technique ). The result was far better than the most basic spiritual energy technique.
With the blood flame grass he collected, he could greatly increase a person’s blood Qi and increase his body’s spiritual energy.
Moreover, this blood flame grass grew near the blood flame flowers, which signifies that the quality of the grass was better, and the effects would be even better!
As for the tier three blood flame flower, he decided to reserve it for the next upgrade.
Otherwise, it would be a little overkill to use it to increase one’s own spiritual power all at
once.
“In this case, when I return to the base city, my spiritual power should reach the level of a martial artist!”
The higher his cultivation skills will be, the slower his improvement will take.
After Su Yun finished inspecting his harvest, he opened the door and ready to search for information about the volcano.
However, just as he walked to the door, he saw five people blocking his way.
With a closer look, he saw that they were the people he had saved from the horde of agile monkeys. After the five people carefully observed Su Yun and confirmed that it was the very same man who had saved them, their faces were instantly filled with smiles.
And after their careful examination of his entire body, they found that there were no missing limbs.
His strength had even broken through to martial artist advance-stage.
Was this a blessing in disguise?
Seeing that their savior was fine, everyone was very happy!
“Sir[1]! You… You’re not dead!”
The handsome leader, Chang Le,said as he excitedly held Su Yun’s hand.
“Sir, how did you escape from those agile monkeys?!”
“Sire, it’s good that you’re alright!”
The others also walked over and excitedly greeted him.
Su Yun pulled his hand out from Chang Le’s hold, feeling offended.
“Dead?! I saved you, and you actually cursed me to die?”
as
“No… No, that is not what I meant, sir. I was just too excited for a moment! I said the wrong thing.” Chang Le laughed.
Among them, the female martial artist even used her ‘weapons’ on her chest to hug Su Yun and wail loudly.
It could be seen that these people didn’t put on an act in the slightest, and their true feelings flowed out.
This caused Su Yun to be slightly embarrassed.
After a few minutes, the female martial artist raised her head to look up from Su Yun’s chest to look at his face.
“Sir, how did you escape?”
The five people huddled closer, looking extremely curious.
They were talking about a fierce beast, the agile monkeys!
Those beasts were famous for their ferocity!
They were fast, had powerful attacks, and had quick reactions.
Other than their slightly weaker defenses, they were practically a nightmare for humans.
They had never seen a person escaped from a group of agile monkeys escape unscathed like Su Yun.
Chang Le sighed, “Sir, it’s great that you’re alright. Otherwise, I would regret it for the rest of my life!”
After learning that there might be a chance of Su Yun still being alive yesterday,Chang Le and the others never gave up on the idea of looking for him.
They searched until late at night.
The second day, before dawn, as they continued to search, they heard that avery old man had checked into this hotel.
They waited at the door for a full five hours before they coincidentally found Su Yun as he was about to leave.
As expected, hard work had paid off.
This old man was the savior they had been looking for for a long time!
The darkness in their hearts was swept away and turned into happiness and joy.
“Why? Do you all want me to die early so I could be reincarnated early?” Su Yun joked around.
“My name is Chang Le. If you need me in the future, I’ll go down a mountain of knives and brave through the sea of fire for you! If you refuse, I won’t be able to give birth to a son[2]!” Chang Le said with a serious expression.
The wide faced man walked up next to a man with a long face.
“Sir, my name is Zhao Yi. These three are Zhao Yue, Zhao Ming, and Zhao Kai.” As he spoke, everyone greeted Su Yun in turn.
“I haven’t asked for your name yet, sir!” The wide-faced man said with a serious expression.
Su Yun was amused by them. “My name is Su Yun.”
“Greetings, Mister Su!” The five of them cupped their hands to express their admiration.
Su Yun bowed. “It was nothing.”
“Mister Su, by the way, how did you escape from those agile monkeys?!” Chang Le was still very puzzled.
The old man’s strength had not reached the level of an official martial artist, so no matter how he looked at it, there’s no way he had a chance against those creatures at all!
“Of course it’s because of my strength!”
Once he uttered these words, the five of them were shocked.
He wouldn’t rest until his words left a big impact, right?
He even relied on strength to directly kill his way out?!
Chang Le then recalled the change in Su Yun’s aura at that time.
At that moment, he even felt suffocated.
But he wasn’t sure if his feelings were right or wrong?!
“After all, every martial artist has their own trump card! Everyone, don’t dig into the root of the matter,” Chang Le tried to smooth things over.
He told the Zhao siblings not to ask any more questions.
“Mister Su, we apologize for being so inconsiderate!” Zhao Yi smiled apologetically.
Su Yun was also a little helpless. No one believed the truth no matter what he said?
What is wrong with this world?
Isn’t killing some agile monkeys supposed to be a very casual matter?
Why did everyone always say how difficult it was, how difficult was it supposed to be?!
Chang Le then changed the topic.
“Mister Su, why don’t you hunt with us next time?” He believed that Su Yun’s strength was not inferior to his.
Perhaps his strength would even surpass his own when the man’s power arises!
The Zhao siblings also try to persuade him, “Mister Su, why don’t we hunt together? That way, we can take care of each other.”
When they thought about how Su Yun, who was about a hundred years old, was still going out to hunt, they theorized that maybe his family was very poor, or that someone in his family had fallen seriously ill which he would need to pay for the expensive medical expenses!
No matter what the reason was, it showed that Su Yun was in need of a lot of money at the moment!
When they went hunting, they would give most of the materials they found to Su Yun.
This would allow him to better subsidize his family’s expenses so that he wouldn’t have to travel around at such an old age.
They will help him lessen his work.
[1] In the original text Chang Le called him “È ” which is a title you call somebody who you respected as a senior. If you understand or familiar with Japanese, it’s the equivalent of calling them your “senpai”. If translated directly to english you’ll get “senior” or “upperclassman”, which is a little awkward to say and technically they are not in school (and Su Yun is practically a hundred years old, so… it would be a little weird). So, we translated into “sir” instead
[2] He just means that he would be too restless to even want to partake in the acts of pleasure if Su Yun refuses him.
