Chapter 10: The Male Lead is a Clean Freak

Even so, making peace was not possible now that the male lead had showed up so early. The plan had changed, and so the only solution now was to get Su Ruoruo as far away as possible.
It was impossible to obtain an invitation to the Empyrean Temple with just riches. Su Ye’s father had personally begged for it, all so her treasures would improve to the next level.
After leaving Su Ruoruo’s chamber, Su Ye stood outside the doors and leaned against the wall.
It felt like half a day had passed until a well-dressed Su Ruoruo was escorted out by her handmaidens. She turned to Su Ye, shocked and angry. “What do you actually want, Su Ye?”
“To send you to the Empyrean Temple, of course. Your carriage waits outside,” Su Ye answered with considerable composure.
That made Su Ruoruo even angrier. “When did I say I was going?!”
“You don’t want to go?”
“I…” Su Ruoruo could not deny it. It wasn’t as if she didn’t want to go—she just did not believe that Su Ye was kind enough to send her to the Empyrean Temple.
On the other hand, Su Ye was not keen on telling her sister much; all she wanted to do was send her away. For that, she even got several tier-three guards to escort her.
Seeing that Su Ruoruo was still hesitant, Su Ye raised her hand and knocked her unconscious. There was no need to waste her breath since there was a change in plans anyway. Su Ye had tried to calm herself, but it was completely useless. She would only feel at ease if she sent away the catalyst to her doom, post-haste.
Moreover, the Empyrean Temple was the only place that Su Qing had never been to. It was a place worshipped by millions, but Su Qing was the only person who did not give a damn about it, and had never once set foot in it.
Su Ye would only feel safe after sending Su Ruoruo there. That way, Su Ruoruo would never meet Su Qing, so he would never hunt Su Ye down, right?
In the original story, Su Ruoruo had first been beaten up by Su Ye, and then was given the cold shoulder by her servants. They had even deliberately applied an ointment that inflamed Su Ruoruo’s wounds further in an attempt to win favor and rewards from Su Ye. That ointment had left Su Ruoruo with an underlying illness which could not be completely cured, and she had been unable to cultivate after that. That had been the last straw for Su Ruoruo, and she had been determined to get her revenge on Su Ye after that.
Afterwards, Su Ruoruo had rescued an unconscious Su Qing by chance outside the city. He had woken up and listened to her troubles, before going on to avenge her. Naturally, Su Qing was no charitable angel who would repay someone else’s grace for no reason—he had simply found out that Su Ye had a spirit stone in her body, so he had used the excuse of repaying a favor to murder Su Ye and steal the stone.
From Su Ruoruo’s perspective, however, he had merely been acting in chivalric fury. That was also why Su Ruoruo had fallen for the male lead, and was willing to stay by his side.
Back in the present, Su Ye rested her head on her arm as she recalled the plot. She had created that male lead with corrupted world views on a whim, and now, karmic retribution had come for her.
Back then, her book had been widely panned by male fans. After all, most male-oriented novels would have thousands of women in their harem, and while there were a lot of women in Evil Emperor, the male lead was a clean freak. He had excessive trauma towards women in his youth, and therefore hated them with a vengeance. In fact, Su Qing was still a virgin when the book ended. His women did not care about that at all, even living together in perfect harmony with their undying loyalty towards Su Qing.
