“Crack~”
As Jiang Ming made the decision, the sound of thunder came roaring from the sky.
“It’s here!”
The voice of the Demon Wolf King rang in his head. Jiang Ming narrowed his eyes and looked at the Purple Lightning Tribulation that was extremely thick. Jiang Ming was prepared for it as he picked up the scythe in his hand, stood up and waited for its arrival.
For some reason, the Purple Lightning Tribulation was striking downwards at a really slow pace but Jiang Ming could still feel the immense pressure that was coming from it, which caused both his legs to tremble while the Demon Wolf King was lying on the ground in fear.
The Purple Lightning Tribulation travelled across the sky like a purple dragon dancing in the air. All the novice villagers around it could see the scene, and it caught all of the player’s attention. There were even groups of them heading towards the Demon Wolf Valley to see what was happening.
On the other hand, Jiang Ming was preparing to resist the thunder and was so scared that he became speechless. Deep in his heart, he thought to himself, ‘Oh dear god, I didn’t think that this tribulation would be so terrifying. The sparks that are emitting from it are already so long as if there is a purple dragon in the sky. If this thing hits me, will I die within seconds?’
“Hong~”
The Purple Lightning Tribulation started heading towards the ground and when it passed through one of the mountain tops, it immediately blew up the entire mountain. It was such a shocking scene, definitely much scarier than the special effects in those Hollywood Movies.
“God knows what this thunder is made of. If it gets deconstructed, what would be its raw material?”
As Jiang Ming noticed the thunder that was getting closer to him, he couldn’t help but mutter to himself.
As soon as he finished the sentence, an idea came to his mind as he let out an expectant look. “The Divine Deconstruction Technique did say that it can deconstruct anything that is below the divine level. Perhaps I can deconstruct the Purple Lightning Tribulation? Since I’ve already promised the Demon Wolf King, I can’t abandon him now, but if I just stay here and wait for it to come, I might die. Since my stamina has been completely replenished, I might as well try since I’ll die either way.”
This was a very bold idea. If any players around him actually heard it, they would have mocked him.
Jiang Ming stood on the Demon Wolf King as he held the Reaper’s Scythe on one hand and opened his palm on the other hand in preparation for the deconstruction of the Purple Lightning Tribulation.
…
Just as the thunder started to get closer to them, most of the players in the 00520 novice village had already reached the Demon Wolf Valley.
As they saw the Purple Lightning Tribulation that was descending and the thousands of demon wolves around the valley, they were all shocked.
“Look! I think the Demon Wolf King inside is the one resisting the tribulation. Look at this scene!! Tenglong Company has definitely put a lot of effort into this. I’m loving this game!”
“Eh? Why is there a man standing on the Demon Wolf King? Is that an NPC?”
“Wowww~~ The man with the scythe looks so calm even when the thunder is coming his way! He is so cool! If he were not an NPC, I would definitely go after him!”
…
As the players arrived at the Demon Wolf Valley, some of them started attacking the demon wolves as they noticed that the wolves were just lying on the ground motionlessly. Since most of their levels were still low, they usually wouldn’t dare to attack the wolves. But now that the demon wolves were unable to resist due to the Purple Lightning Tribulation, they wouldn’t let this opportunity slip away.
There were some who were walking towards the depth of the valley. Their plan was to wait for the Demon Wolf King to be hit by the thunder, and when it was severely injured, they would kill the Demon Wolf King.
There was also another group of them who were aiming at Jiang Ming as they were looking at the Reaper’s Scythe in his hand with greed.
It looked like most of the players thought that Jiang Ming was an NPC, which was actually reasonable since the pet system had not been opened yet. Since the Demon Wolf King was a wild monster, it didn’t make sense that a player would be able to be so close to it, which was why most of them concluded that Jiang Ming was an NPC.
As they continued looking at Jiang Ming and the Demon Wolf King, the players started getting more and more excited. Some of the people with power even gathered a huge group of players together, ready to take action.
“Young master, we have already gathered all of our players who are in the novice village. We’re ready.”
At a spot not too far away from the Demon Wolf Valley, a man was talking to another man who was dressed in white.
The man dressed in white turned around and looked at the thousands of players behind him. He smiled, nodded his head and turned back as he stared at Jiang Ming’s figure.
“Hmmm? Why do I think that the NPC looks so familiar? As if I’ve seen him somewhere.”
The man in white frowned while looking at Jiang Ming who wasn’t too far away from him.
“Haha, I didn’t think that Situ Shenzhe, the president of the Divine Altar Guild, would be here too. Looks like you’re interested in the Demon Wolf King as well.”
Just when the man dressed in black was still trying to figure out who Jiang Ming was, a voice came from behind. Then, he turned around and raised his eyebrows as he found the owner of the voice.
When Situ Shenzhe turned around, he saw a man with a sharp face and thin lips who’s age was about the same as his. There was also a large group of players standing behind him but because both the groups were standing so close together, he had no idea how many players this man had brought.
“Well, I also didn’t expect that Jin Tian, the president of the Prosperous Dynasty Guild, would be in this novice village as well. Such a coincidence!” Situ Shenzhe sneered and said in a domineering tone, “I am interested in the Demon Wolf King, but I don’t want any extra opponent!”
“Neither do I!” Jin Tian picked his ears as his eyes sharpened and stared at Situ Shenzhe.
Their conversation might sound like they were making an alliance, but if one listened carefully, one would be able to hear the threats in their conversation.
Although both of them mentioned that they wouldn’t want another extra opponent, the hidden meaning behind this was actually: If you are going to become my opponent, you will die a painful death!
“If you think that the Prosperous Dynasty would be able to defeat the Divine Altar, you can try at your own risk!” Situ Shenzhe said to Jin Tian.
“Haha, look at how confident the president of Divine Altar is.” Jin Tian laughed. Then, he narrowed his eyes and continued. “Just because you’re the number one guild amongst all the gaming guilds doesn’t mean that you get to put up this act. If it wasn’t because something happened to The Immovable Protector’s hands, Divine Altar wouldn’t have made it through the first round, let alone the finals. I guess President Situ must have put in a lot of effort, didn’t you?”
“What do you mean?!” Situ Shenzhe had a murderous look in his eyes as he questioned Jin Tian.
“Oh, nothing much. Just trying to let you know that Divine Land is not the same as Glory. All your little tricks won’t work in this game. So, we’ll see if Divine Altar will still be number one after this.” Jin Tian laughed out loud as he turned around. Suddenly, he turned around with a cold smile on his face, “Plus, I am indeed very interested in the Demon Wolf King!”
After saying that, Jin Tian left with his group of players to another spot that was closer to the Demon Wolf King and drew a distance from Situ Shenzhe’s group.
When Jin Tian left, Situ Shenzhe realised that Jin Tian had brought more players than he had, which caused his face to immediately turn dark.
“Young Master….” A player standing next to him spoke.
“If they make a move, kill them!” Situ Shenzhe stopped the other player with a murderous note in his command.
