RPG: The Divine Deconstructor - Chapter 42
Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Death Bell Tower
Wolf Zombie : level 10 monsters.
Attributes: HP 1000, Physical attack 75-87, Defense 30
Wolf Zombies were a type of wolf monster. They had no fur on their bodies and were only covered with flesh and blood. Some of them were rotten, and it was a ghastly scene.
In order to complete the mission, Jiang Ming had no other choice but to fight all the wolf zombies that were in front of him.
The attributes of the Wolf Zombies were slightly higher than the other level 10 monsters. It might be easy to fight one or two of them, but it was extremely difficult to fight ten of them at once.
“I only have about 400++ HP. If I get attacked by all of them at once, I might be killed within seconds.” Jiang Ming headed towards the Wolf Zombies and a wry smile gradually appeared on his face. “However, it’s impossible for them to even touch me.”
“Let’s try the displacement technique that I used in Glory. I wonder if it works the same in this game.”
Then, he activated the Phantom Steps and started moving his body. His feet went back and forth as if he was taking baby steps. When the first wolf zombie pounced on him, he leaped with one of his legs and moved to the side, dodging the first wolf zombie. However, when the second wolf zombie pounced on him, he kicked the neck of the second wolf zombie. The impact of the kick allowed him to dodge the third one that was already coming towards him…
And just like that, he was moving around like a ball that was bouncing around the ten wolf zombies and every single time he touched them, he would take away some amount of HP.
There were a few times that he was attacked, but as he changed his steps according to the attack and with the HP absorption skill from the Reaper’s scythe, he wasn’t in much trouble.
“Phantom Shadow!”
When all ten of the wolf zombies only had a little HP left, Jiang Ming activated the Phantom Shadow skills. He ran around the group of wolf zombies. In the end, all the shadows that he left behind exploded together which immediately got rid of all the wolf zombies at once.
After killing all the monsters, he picked up the loot from the ground and ran towards the Death Bell Tower.
There were 5 floors in the bell tower. As Jiang Ming pushed open the door and stepped into the building, a horrible scent hit him and there were multiple pairs of green eyes that were staring at him.
Jiang Ming looked at those pairs of eyes that were staring at him and he realised that they belonged to a group of zombies. There were about thirty of them and all of them had rotten flesh that were covered with maggots. Jiang Ming’s stomach did a somersault and he almost threw up.
Zombies: Level 15 normal monsters
Attributes: HP 1500, Attack 92-103, Defence 34
“F**k, that’s disgusting!” Jiang Ming muttered to himself when he saw that there were maggots that were falling out of the bodies of the zombies that were limping towards him.
Jiang Ming had no other choice but to kill all these zombies in order to complete his mission.
Fortunately, the space in the first floor wasn’t too big and there were a lot of places where Jiang Ming could hide. Plus, the zombies were moving extremely slowly. Although their attributes were much higher as compared to the wolf zombies from before, they were still no match for Jiang Ming who was moving extremely fast.
He used the same technique as before and soon managed to get past the first level.
Ding~ System notification: Congratulations, you have passed the first level of the Death Bell Tower. Please move towards the entrance of the second level. Otherwise, the first floor will be refreshed with sixty zombies. Enter into the second floor as soon as possible, or else you will be attacked by the zombies from the first floor.
“What?” When Jiang Ming heard the notification, he paused for a moment. “The zombies from the first floor would be doubled in half an hour? If I just stayed on the first floor, it would mean that there would be more and more zombies after every half an hour. If it wasn’t because I have to complete the mission, this is actually quite a good training ground.”
During the half an hour waiting time, Jiang Ming searched for a place to sit and opened his chat channel.
As soon as he opened it, there were about ten private messages.
Out of curiosity, he opened the messages to see who they were from.
Most of the private messages were from the President of TK, Mu Baiting.
Mu Baiting had recently reached level 10 and was about to start his customised profession mission as well. He urgently needed new equipment which explained the large amount of private messages from him.
The others were mainly from Jin Tian and Situ Shenzhe. The content of both the messages were about the same and they were both asking for new equipment as well.
After looking through all the messages, he didn’t reply or reached out to them immediately. Instead, he opened up the game’s forum.
In fact, he did have a bag full of equipment, but he didn’t know how the market was now. So, he had to look through the forum first in order to get a rough idea of the price at which he should sell his equipment.
The purpose of him entering into the game this time was to complete the customised profession mission and to earn money from selling his equipment as most of them would soon be worthless.
However, when he was looking through the forum, he found a very eye-catching post.
The post was in red and it said: Divine weapons seen recently. Not fake news. Attached with pictures and video.
Divine weapon? How is this possible?!
Jiang Ming clicked open the post to have a look at the divine weapon.
Inside the post, there were several pictures and a short video attached.
The man in the picture was very high profile as he revealed all his information other than his attributes.
“Jade Emperor? I don’t remember seeing this character from the top ten guilds from before. Perhaps he’s a dark horse?” Jiang Ming muttered to himself as he looked at the player’s information from the picture.
Jade Emperor, who was in the picture, did not hide the special effects of his weapon. Therefore, as he was killing the boss, there was a shadow of a golden dragon around the sword along with a cold smile on his face.
This sword…
Jiang Ming stared at the sword that Jade Emperor held which was glowing, and he frowned. He could feel that the sword was an extraordinary weapon and it might really be a divine weapon.
Other than the golden sword, Jade Emperor also had a set of armour that was shining as well. Although it wasn’t as bright as the sword, it was still silver equipment.
As soon as he played the video, he let out a sigh in relief as he muttered to himself, ‘I guess there’s nothing to worry about. If that sword really is a divine weapon, he wouldn’t need to put in so much effort just to kill a level 15 boss. This sword probably just has better special effects than the other golden swords.’
In the video, Jade Emperor was fighting a level 15 boss. Although his entire outfit looked cool and the damage that he caused were quite high as well, it was just about the same level as Jiang Ming. In other words, the weapon that Jade Emperor had was definitely not a divine weapon; it was at most just silver equipment.
But even so, Jiang Ming also made a mental note about this character because the video was too short and Jiang Ming couldn’t really see the true abilities of Jade Emperor. Although he couldn’t see much from the video, for someone who had already obtained silver equipment at this point, it must mean that his abilities were truly among the best.
Then, Jiang Ming closed that post and scrolled through the other posts that were on the forum.
Just as he was looking through it, he suddenly saw a post that caught his attention, and there was a look of excitement on his face.
