Save Me - Chapter 3

Charlotte

It was the name of the real companion. With the happiest smile in the world, I was imitating Charlotte’s expression in the mirror.

It was dream

With that I opened my eyes widely

The first thing I could smell was the perfume, as usual it felt like a stab in the lungs. It was dark inside. As I laid still I could feel the pounding of my heart

Even after smelling the perfume I couldn’t bring myself to calm down. I murmured a quiet curse. I wiped the cold sweat and got rid of the after images of the nightmare in my head

It was just a memory of the past

The fate that I repeated five times, I couldn’t be stuck here. I slowly raised my upper body and started looking around

I was definitely about to go and visit the Duke Linne, but somehow, I was stuck on bed

While I was staring at the darkness with a frown on my face, I started remembering one by one.

I once again turned back on time, not long after I woke up I was called into a meeting by my mother and fell down while heading there, there was a lot of blood.

I suddenly looked down at my palm, Although it was dark I could see that my palm was clean and I was wearing new pyjamas that my maid changed me into.

When I had a nose bleed, I carelessly ignored it. But I was in worse condition than I originally thought.

Even though I didn’t do anything It was the first time I shed blood. Was it possible that every time I turned back on time one of my organs were taken away?

I slowly rubbed my stomach, I couldn’t be sure yet, I didn’t know what was wrong. It just felt as though I wasn’t as strong as usual and that I had lost a lot of my physical strength.

It would be nice if I wasn’t in a condition where I had to crawl. Living alone would be hard If I fell down after every step I took.

My throat burned as I was thinking of how to find out about my physical condition. I swallowed my dry saliva
My mouth was dry like a desert.

I reached to the table for water out of habit but the kettle had no water in it. Only a few drops that remained in the kettle fell into the glass cup, It seems the kettle had not been filled

I tried to pull the rope to call a maid, As I raised my hear up I managed to take a few breaths.

I should have been able to walk alone, I slowly got out of bed and started walking to test my physical strength

As expected, because I didn’t have enough strength my legs kept trembling. After going through several difficulties I was finally able to walk out the room with staggering steps.

“If you were born a woman, I wonder if you would like me more”

Working hard on empty dishes did nothing but make one drool. I asked such a question because I felt sorry for the me from the past who struggled so hard to receive love from others but was met with nothing

Remigio frowned slightly after hearing what I said,

“You must still be half asleep”

“Come to think of it, Its an useless assumption”

If he was born a girl, I wouldn’t have been adopted in the first place. We wouldn’t even have met due to the wide gap in our status.

This gruesome affair began due to the absence of a girl in Linne family in the first place.

“Don’t talk nonsense, Go back to your room”
