Chapter 51: Jun Wanjie’s Submission. Nine Empyreans and Ten Turfs. Story of a Sister.
Every cultivator in Niantian City watched as Jun Wanjie was trampled underneath Jun Xiaoyao’s feet.
Anyone else would’ve crumbled. Someone as haughty and arrogant as Jun Wanjie was no exception.
With Jun Xiaoyao’s words piercing through his heart, Jun Wanjie felt his Enlightened Mind gradually disintegrating.
He had faced numerous hardships and obstacles to get his current position.
In the end, he was trampled once again under Jun Xiaoyao’s feet.
It was understandable for Jun Wanjie to now feel that way.
“Jun Xiaoyao, you…” Jun Wanjie’s body was trembling, his mind at the edge of a breakdown.
“Your Law of Supremacy and Heavenly Method for Surviving Calamities might be somewhat useful to me.”
As Jun Xiaoyao spoke, he found the jade slips branded with the technique ‘Heavenly Method for Surviving Calamities’ directly from Jun Wanjie.
Jun Xiaoyao knew of the ‘Law of Supremacy’ technique. The ‘Heavenly Method for Surviving Calamities’, however, had something to do with tribulations.
He would still have to go through the tribulation of the Sacred Body of the Ancients in the future. The Heavenly Method for Surviving Calamities would help him during the tribulation.
Jun Wanjie’s blood boiled while anger grew in his heart at the sight of Jun Xiaoyao taking away his technique ‘Heavenly Method for Surviving Calamities’. Even so, all he could do was watch.
“Are you dissatisfied with this? I wonder… would the clan punish me if I kill you right now?”
Jun Xiaoyao lowered his eyes slightly and gazed at Jun Wanjie apathetically.
Now, a terrified look appeared on his face upon hearing Jun Xiaoyao’s cold words.
Jun Xiaoyao was actually thinking about killing him!
Jun Wanjie carefully thought about it. Considering Jun Xiaoyao’s current position in the family, what would happen if Jun Xiaoyao killed him?
There was only one possible answer…
Absolutely nothing would happen!
Jun Xiaoyao’s current status was far higher compared to Jun Wanjie’s title of Sequence Five.
If Jun Xiaoyao killed him, the most that the Jun family would do is warn him on the surface. He might not even be given any substantive punishment.
Jun Wanjie felt chills traveling throughout his entire body just thinking of that possibility.
Jun Xiaoyao wouldn’t have been punished if he killed Jun Wanjie. Instead, Jun Wanjie’s life would’ve been lost in vain.
Upon sensing the panic in Jun Wanjie’s eyes, the corner of Jun Xiaoyao’s lips curled up slightly.
Who in the world didn’t fear death?
Even so, Jun Xiaoyao would not kill him if he didn’t have to.
It wasn’t because he was soft-hearted.
As the Divine Child of the Jun Family and Sequence Zero, casually killing a sequence of his own family wouldn’t benefit him much.
At the very least, the clan elders of the other branches of the Jun Family and the other sequences may begin thinking differently about him.
Jun Xiaoyao wasn’t afraid of getting in trouble, but he was too lazy to deal with it.
However, Jun Xiaoyao wouldn’t let Jun Wanjie leave and cause more trouble for himself in the future.
There was only one feasible option…
“Now, I’m giving you two choices. You can either give up and let me plant the Seal of Slavery in you, or…”
“…I’ll just kill you!”
Jun Xiaoyao was giving Jun Wanjie a choice.
Jun Wanjie’s face instantly turned pale as he forcefully gritted his teeth.
He knew that even if he were to die here, nobody would avenge him.
If he surrendered to Jun Xiaoyao, however, one would think that his Enlightened Mind to have completely collapsed. From this point on, he would solely exist as Jun Xiaoyao’s slave.
“I can’t wait forever. You have as long as it takes for me to take 3 deep breaths…” Jun Xiaoyao knitted his eyebrows.
With his body violently quivering, Jun Wanjie struggled to stand on his feet before falling to his knees!
He didn’t want to die!
He knew that deep down, he still had something left to do.
“Oh? Well, this is unexpected…”
Jun Xiaoyao was slightly surprised at the sight of Jun Wanjie kneeling before him.
He initially thought that considering the kind of person Jun Wanjie usually was, he would rather die than surrender.
“I, Jun Wanjie… am willing to submit…”
It was tough for Jun Wanjie to force those words past his lips.
Jun Xiaoyao nodded slightly. A Seal of Slavery took shape within the Divine Palace in Jun Wanjie’s brain.
With Jun Wanjie’s Divine Palace open, a Seal of Slavery could be directly planted inside.
With this, Jun Xiaoyao had control over Jun Wanjie’s life. He wouldn’t have to worry about hidden dangers taking him by surprise.
It was true that the Seal of Slavery could only be planted voluntarily; it was difficult to forcibly plant it into someone who wasn’t willing.
“I’m surprised by your choice.” Jun Xiaoyao looked directly into Jun Wanjie’s eyes.
With a now dejected expression, Jun Wanjie ultimately sighed. “Divine Child, I have a sister who was placed in the lower realm when she was young. I swore that I must bring her back to the upper realm, so I can’t die before then…”
Jun Xiaoyao slightly raised his eyebrows upon hearing Jun Wanjie’s story.
So it was that kind of story, huh?
He was separated from his biological sister when he was young. Thus, he strived to become stronger for the moment when he would get his sister back.
Jun Xiaoyao knew that the world was divided into nine empyreans and ten turfs.
The nine empyreans referred to the nine mystic realms, with the Huangtian Mystic Realm being one of them.
The ten turfs referred to the ten vast continents in the lower realm.
Generally speaking, the boundary between the nine empyreans and the ten turfs was difficult to break through.
It cost quite a lot to send someone to the lower realm. There were also restrictions on one’s cultivation attainments.
No wonder Jun Wanjie wanted to become stronger through cultivation and climb to a high position.
It turned out that he wanted to go look for his sister in the lower realm.
“Let’s talk about it later. If I ever get the opportunity to go to the lower realm, it might be possible for me to bring your sister back when that time comes,” Jun Xiaoyao said calmly.
Since Jun Wanjie was already his servant, he no longer posed a threat to Jun Xiaoyao.
In that case, why not let him benefit from this?
Upon hearing this, Jun Wanjie’s sullen face was left immediately stunned before a hint of excitement appeared.
The discontent and resentment in his heart had melted away at that point.
There was nothing more important to him than reuniting with his sister.
“Thank you, Divine Child. I now realize that I’ve been a fool this whole time!” Jun Wanjie kowtowed heavily before Jun Xiaoyao.
Earlier on, he was forced to submit under the threat of being killed.
Now, he had sincerely surrendered to Jun Xiaoyao of his own volition.
As Jun Zhangjian and Jun Xuehuang watched the scene unfold, they looked at each other before both taking a deep breath.
The needle among the ten sequences, the surliest and domineering Jun Wanjie, was subdued so easily.
“He is incredible, in terms of both force and wit,” Jun Linglong said.
Although she possessed the Heart of Qiqiao Linglong, she always felt inferior when compared to Jun Xiaoyao.
A conflict within the Jun family was resolved so easily.
Sequence Five of the Jun family, Jun Wanjie, had completely surrendered to Jun Xiaoyao. It was the same as what Jun Zhangjian and Jun Xuehuang did earlier.
Three out of the ten Sequences of the Jun Family had already submitted to the divine child.
‘Gramps has always worried about other sequences trying to start trouble with me. It might not be long before I get all of the Sequences to submit to me…’ Jun Xiaoyao thought to himself.
Even so, he knew that the first few Sequences were the only truly powerful members of the Jun family.
Those Sequences were either in seclusion or practicing outside. Until now, he hadn’t even seen them before.
Among them were geniuses who either possessed Dual Pupils or inherited a taboo.
Jun Zhangjian and Jun Wanjie could never be on the same level as such people.
“Return and wait for the opening of the Supreme Treasure of Yuantian!”
Jun Xiaoyao waved his sleeves and left with the wind, looking like a deity. He was very eager to check-in at the next location: the Supreme Treasure.
