Seven World Martial God - Chapter 47
Chapter 47: Saber Intent Seed
Ye Tian and Wang Xu fought to a stalemate, their glares both filled with murderous intent.
Even though Ye Tian was a teenager, Wang Xu soon understood that the young man was even more powerful than Ye Shi. The Martial Master moved cautiously, galloping True Qi flooding through him and billowing out through the air around him.
Before him, Ye Tian stood straight-backed, both hands grasping his Scarlet Saber. Wang Tian’s blood dripped from his blade as Ye Tian locked eyes with the Martial Master, cultivation and strength bursting within him with peak force.
White Cloud Town’s number one expert faced off against White Cloud Town’s number one genius, their duel captivating the battlefield.
“He’s talented, but he’s not a Martial Master yet. He’s no match for the Village Chief.” One of the Wang Family warriors snorted coldly.
“Your captain was killed by Ye Tian’s blade!” The Ye Family Villagers called back, the truth irrefutable.
“Hmph! Martial Artist and Martial Master are two different realms; how could he possibly defeat a Martial Master?!”
“Nothing is certain in battle!
“Hmph. Wait and see!”
…
The other warriors had already stopped fighting and were all watching the duel. They were yelling back and forth about who would win the crucial battle, none of them attacking.
Everyone knew that the only fight that mattered was Ye Tian and Wang Xu’s. The winner would control the battlefield.
Ye Feng walked over to Ye Shi. “Village Chief, do you think Ye TIan can win?” he asked, his heart filled with doubt.
Ye Shi was silent for a long moment before he finally spoke: “It’s hard to say. They’re both more powerful than I am. I cannot tell who will win, but we can only trust Ye Tian.”
“Village Chief, why don’t we deal with the others then help Ye Tian?” Ye Ba suggested, turning his snarling smile towards the Wang Family warriors.
“No. If we force Wang Xu’s hand, he will attack our villagers as well then we will both suffer. We can only wait for Ye Tian and Wang Xu to finish their battle. Even if Wang Xu wins, he won’t have enough Qi to keep fighting.” Ye Shi shook his head immediately.
“Alright!” Ye Feng, Ye Ba, and the others nodded, returning their focus to the duel.
“Heaven Crippling Feet!” Wang Xu shouted thunderously, flipping in the air as his kick drew a crescent moon, smashing downwards at Ye Tian with terrifying force.
“Hong!”
Ye Tian struck back with his Thundering Palm, the exchange of blows forcing a tremendous power through him and forcing him backwards a dozen steps, disturbing the True Qi within his meridians.
“Wang Family’s unique Martial Skill—Heaven Crippling Feet! Mid Yellow Rank,” Ye Ba exclaimed.
“A Mid Yellow Rank Skill!”
Ye Tian’s eyes narrowed as his sharp ears picked up on the commentary. No wonder the force of the kick was so strong—it was from the only Mid Yellow Martial Skill in all of White Cloud Town.
The difference between the ranks of a Martial Skill represented a truly immense difference in strength.
Fortunately, Wang Xu hadn’t practiced his skill to great perfection or else Ye Tian’s defeat would’ve been guaranteed.
“That’s right—it’s Heaven Crippling Feet. You should feel proud to die by this skill!” Wang Xu roared, attacking again. His feet scissored through the air and arced again.
The crescent moon struck down once more, a ferocious gale of wind combing with True Qi into a striking tornado.
Dust filled the sky as the wind howled and his killing intent billowed.
“Kill!” Ye Tian roared, his eyes filled with determination. Invisible Saber Intent slashed forward as he summoned inch-long Saber Qi on his weapon to strike forward.
Chi chi~ chi chi~ chi chi…
The Saber Intent flew forward, ripping through the wind with a piercing whistle, its peerless edge unstoppable.
The crescent moon smashed downwards with an explosion of True Qi, powerful energy exploding in every direction.
Ye Tian’s expression flickered and his True Qi flooded into his Saber Intent, crackling forward towards Wang Xu, cutting chasms into the trembling ground.
The crowd of warriors could only watch in astonishment at the incredible display of power, both warriors worth a force of ten thousand, unstoppable by any ordinary means.
“Die!” Wang Xu roared, his True Qi exploding outwards. His eyes glared as the enormous wave of energy flowed into his foot and smashed down towards Ye Tian.
Hong long long!
Both of Wang Xu’s legs smashed down one after the other, forcing a mouthful of blood out of Ye Tian as the young man finally felt his life threatened.
“Ye Tian!”
“Tian er!”
All the Ye Family experts called out with worry.
Every Ye Family Villager’s heart leaped.
“Hahaha, I said he was no opponent for the Village Chief.”
“Heehee, the brat is dead. Village Chief’s Heaven Crippling Feet is invincible—who could block it?”
“When he’s dead, the Ye Family Village is finished.”
…
The Wang Family warriors laughed cheerfully.
Wang Xu’s successive attacks had driven Ye Tian to the edge, and in that moment, everyone knew for certain that Ye Tian would lose.
“No!” Ye Tian roared, his entire reserve of True Qi blasting forward, flooding into his saber as Ye Tian threw all care for self-preservation away, striking forward.
Shua!
A three inch long Saber Qi cut forward, shattering the air and stunning everyone.
“Truly astonishing. If you had time, you’d quickly surpass this old man, but unfortunately you don’t.” Wang Xu chuckled coldly, his killing intent growing greater and greater the more talent Ye Tian revealed.
“I cannot lose… Die!” Ye Tian roared. His eyes flashed sharply even as his heart grew deadly calm. In his previous life, he had fought against a tiger and had been able to snatch victory out of the jaws of defeat. He believed in miracles and in his ability to carve out miracles for himself.
Ye Tian’s motto was: Never give up. Fight to the last breath.
“Brat, you’re too weak. A Martial Master’s power is beyond your imagination,” Wang Xu called out, his True Qi billowing out, his reserve truly terrifying even after his lengthy exertion.
“Hong!”
Ye Tian flew backwards, spitting air as he was flung through the air.
“Ye Tian!” The Ye Family villagers cried out.
“I cannot… Ah… Die!” Ye Tian roared, his eyes glaring out wildly with boundless killing intent.
Ye Shi and Ye Feng could no longer hold back and were preparing to move to save the young genius when the miracle happened.
Clang Clang Clang Clang…
Every weapon on the battlefield began to vibrate and the sabers trembled with a particular strength. All the warriors, Wang or Ye, could only watch as their weapons flew through the air towards Ye Tian.
Eyes fell open in wide disbelief as even Wang Xu froze in shock.
Shua! Shua! Shua!
The great wave of weapons flew forward and gathered above Ye Tian, orbiting him and dancing through the air.
Below the weapons, Ye Tian stood with the Scarlet Saber upright in his hand, his long, black hair billowing out behind him. His ink black irises had turned blood red.
“Die!” Ye Tian roared, slashing towards Wang Xu, the countless weapons floating above him flying forwards with his strike.
“Impossible!” Wang Xu gasped in disbelief, pushing his True Qi forward to form a defensive barrier along his skin.
Clang clang clang…
Saber, sword, spear—wave after wave of weapons flew forward like an endless rain, cutting towards Wang Xu.
Every blow smashed against Wang Xu’s Qi Barrier, and with every strike, his face fell more and more.
Soon, Wang Xu could only watch helplessly as the Scarlet Saber cut through his Qi and slash forward into his heart. Blood splattered as he cried out miserably.
“Impossible!” Wang Xu spat unwillingly, gasping to himself as the pain overwhelmed him, blood rapidly rushing out of him as his eyes dimmed.
“He’s dead?” Ye Tian pulled his Scarlet Saber away, looking down with shock at Wang Xu’s corpse, the blood red fading from his eyes.
Silence reigned as every eye echoed Ye Tian’s astonishment.
Ten thousand miles in the air, two beautiful women sat atop a gorgeous floating red flower.
One woman wore a shimmering white robe like a fairy from the heavens.
The other wore an innocent green dress, her demeanor vibrant and pure, her eyes bright beneath the delicate arch of her brows. Her eyelashes trembled and her whole appearance was so mild and vulnerable that it seemed to demand tenderness and affection.
The young, innocent girl was Ye Tian’s childhood sweetheart, Lin Tingting.
“Eh? An Intent Seed! A little Martial Artist child comprehended Saber Intent and created an Intent Seed!” The fairy gasped with surprise, her beautiful eyebrows twitching.
“Hehe, to think that there was such a genius on this poor mountain. Too bad our Flower Fairy Sect doesn’t accept male disciples or else he’d really be a good sapling.”
The white robed fairy chuckled.
“Master, I want to see Brother Ye Tian!” Lin Tingting asked, her face earnest.
“No, your Brother Ye Tian is safe. His talent is no worse than yours, and as long as you follow your master and cultivate well, you will definitely meet again!” the white robed fairy replied, gesturing with her hand and sending the flower artifact up into the clouds as the two disappeared into the distance.
“Brother Ye Tian, you must wait for me…”
Ye Tian’s head jerked up as he peered confusedly into the blue sky. That voice… had he imagined it?
