Skeleton’s Training Manual - Chapter 40
Chapter 40: 040 Li Chun’s Surprise
Lu Wu had no idea that Li Chun was asking Li Kai for help just right outside.
As soon as he entered the studio, he directly started working.
He had no other choice. His cheats were not as magical as the others, whereas the others could just wave their hand and everything would just happen on its own. Lu Wu’s only cheat now was to be extra hardworking.
With all the efforts from the last few months combined, Lu Wu could now enter into his working mood within seconds.
As Lu Wu started entering into his ‘zone’ in the studio, the rest of them that followed him into the studio started doing their own things as well.
Skeleton, who was by the side, carefully took Lu Wu phone along with a pair of headphones and started watching shows on the phone.
Although Skeleton completely did not understand what the actors were doing or saying, let alone the script itself, it still liked watching them.
As for Pang Tutu, she also found her own spot in the studio. She held onto Piglet in one hand and rested her chin on the other hand while squatting on the floor as she watched Lu Wu work.
She felt that Lu Wu looked so much more charismatic with his serious face when he was working.
She could definitely stare at this face until the end of time.
Yes. It was a blessing that Li Kai wasn’t in the studio and there were no security cameras in the studio. So, he had no idea what this bunch of people were doing.
If Li Kai found out that this bunch of people who followed Lu Wu into the studio were either just busy looking at their phones or at Lu Wu, he would flip!
Such a waste! If they’re going to waste such an opportunity, they should have given it to Li Kai!
Well, of course. Li Kai would never know this as he was still dazed with what Li Chun said.
As for Li Chun who was standing right in front of Li Kai, he really couldn’t understand why his uncle was in such a shock.
Li Chun thought that it was because he was being too abrupt and his uncle was still trying to process what he said. Therefore, he put in extra effort trying to explain Lu Wu’s current situation to Li Kai.
Hmm…. in order to help Lu Wu impress his uncle, Li Chun even said so many good things about Lu Wu that weren’t even true.
He even tried to skip the fact that Lu Wu was holding onto Pang Tutu and was stopping her from getting into the special classes. Li Chun focused on the amount of effort that Lu Wu was putting in for this and how talented Pang Tutu was.
Li Chun was hoping that Lu Wu’s effort and Pang Tutu’s talent would be able to convince his uncle to help Lu Wu in becoming a professional summoner.
Although Li Chun didn’t know much about his uncle’s condition, he still heard a few things about him.
He knew that his uncle was not an ordinary person, his uncle was someone who was about to pass the professional summoner beast trainer assessment.
If his uncle was willing to help Lu Wu, there would definitely be a chance for Lu Wu to get into the summoner’s university.
Well, it was obvious that the reason why he had the audacity to do this was because he knew that his uncle did see Lu Wu’s effort.
He even helped Lu Wu with enhancing Skeleton’s quality. If it wasn’t because of this that he found out that his uncle quite like Lu Wu, Li Kai wouldn’t have asked his uncle for help.
“Lu Wu’s summoned beast may be one of the worst and he is not as talented as the others, but he is the most determined student that I have ever met who badly wants to be a professional summoner. Even after summoning Skeleton and knowing that he wouldn’t be able to make it into the special classes, he didn’t choose to give up. Instead, he was still trying to make his dreams come true. For a child like him who’s trying everything that he can, shouldn’t we at least try to help him?”
After trying for about half an hour, Li Chun ended his ‘speech’ with this phrase.
Then, Li Chun stared at his uncle with sincere looking eyes that were filled with expectations.
However, from Li Kai point of view, as he listened to what Li Chun said along with that pair of eyes staring at him, he thought to himself about what he said to his nephew before this. When he was discussing about Lu Wu with him previously, did he use the wrong words that would have caused his nephew to have misunderstood what he actually meant?
Lu Wu was not as talented?
Lu Wu would not be able to get into the university if Li Kai refused to help?
What the f**k was this boy saying?!
Although it was true that Lu Wu’s luck as a summoner was bad since his initial summoned beast was Skeleton and his family condition wasn’t well off. Usually, in these sort of situations, Lu Wu was really considered untalented and had no hopes of becoming a professional summoner.
But Lu Wu was definitely not in a normal situation!
His talents were not meant for him to be a professional summoner and his luck was pretty bad, but his talents of becoming a summoned beast trainer were out of this world!
His achievements after learning for only a few months were already so much more than someone like him who had been working on it for decades.
Li Kai really couldn’t understand — how on earth did this treasure that he found became such a sad piece of trash from Li Chun’s aspect.
Lu Wu would not be accepted to any universities?
Oh, please. As long as he passed the professional summoner beast trainer’s assessment next year, the universities would be the one chasing after Lu Wu.
That’s why Li Kai remained speechless for the entire time.
Well, Li Chun started panicking when he saw his uncle being quiet the entire time. Just as he was thinking if he should try harder, the door from the back of the store opened.
Li Chun immediately turned around when he heard the door open. When he saw that it was Lu Wu, he was shocked and his face turned pale. Li Chun thought that Lu Wu must have heard what he said and he felt awkward.
But at the same time, he thought that this was a great opportunity. So, he signaled Lu Wu and told him to come over. Li Chun wanted Lu Wu to join him and beg his uncle for help.
However, Li Chun was so busy trying to hint at Lu Wu that he didn’t even notice that his uncle had already stood up respectfully.
On the other end, Lu Wu did not understand what Li Chun was trying to do. As he saw Li Chun blinking and squinting his eyes, he even thought that Li Chun wanted him to leave.
“Sir, why are you here today? Oh, you wanted to look for Uncle Li? You guys go ahead then. I’ll just get what I need and I’ll leave.”
Then, Lu Wu went over to the shelves and started picking out the ingredients that he wanted.
When Li Chun realised that Lu Wu had no idea what he was trying to say, he thought to himself : ‘He’s quite a smart boy, why is he being so stupid right now?’
If it wasn’t because of Li Kai, Li Chun would have screamed out loud.
Li Chun was anxious, but Li Kai was even more anxious than him. He pushed Li Chun away and said, “It was nothing important anyway. Actually, we’re done talking. Is there anything that you need that I could help with? If you need anything, just let me know. I’m more than willing to help!”
Then, Li Kai ran straight to Lu Wu as Li Chun stared at the entire scene with his mouth opened.
Li Kai immediately took all the ingredients that Lu Wu was holding onto and was following right behind him as if Li Kai was the store assistant.
Li Chun’s glasses broke as it fell onto the ground with a loud sound and he was in complete shock.
