Skeleton’s Training Manual - Chapter 46
Chapter 46: 046 Preparation
Skeleton wanted to beat up some pigs, but that one particular pig didn’t even want to look at him.
Recently, it seemed like it was just growing in Pang Tutu’s arms. Tuan Tuan refused to get down from Tutu’s arm and even if Tutu put it down on the ground, it just pretended to be dead.
Before it was sure that it could defeat Skeleton, Tuan Tuan would never get into a fight with Skeleton.
Since it couldn’t fight the pig, the fight with the bird continued.
This duo of bird and its owner thought that the reason why they failed this time was that they were being careless.
Therefore, they both wanted to try again.
Okay, another round then. When compared to the pig, Skeleton was still more obedient.
It really didn’t want to fight the bird, but since Lu Wu told him to, he should!
Then, the second match between Skeleton and Frozen Birdie started.
This time, Frozen Birdie became a little smarter. It knew that it had to fly in order to maintain distance between the both of them. Since Skeleton had no long-range attack skills, as long as the bird stayed in the air, it was undefeatable.
This was the advantage of an aerial summoned beast.
Well, of course, these types of advantages were very limited in an actual competition. The height and flight time were all limited and would never allow the aerial summoned beast to take too much advantage.
However, the match that was happening in front of them was not part of an official competition which was why there was no limitation.
But this still didn’t mean that Frozen Birdie could do whatever it wanted to.
The bird didn’t have any long-range attack as well. If Skeleton couldn’t hit the bird while it’s in the air, it couldn’t hit Skeleton as well.
Hao Zhijian obviously wasn’t going to use this method to fight Lu Wu. Then, with its command, Frozen Birdie flew all the way to the back of Skeleton and then he took the opportunity to attack Skeleton with a combination of skills.
[Dive] [Torn]
The combination of these both was Hao Zhijian’s ultimate skill as it was an extremely fast and massive attack.
With this attack, both Frozen Birdie and Hao Zhijian thought that their victory was already coming.
When the final attack came, Skeleton’s optimized [dodge] successfully ducked the attack. Then, he swung the bat, and once again, the bird was lying on the ground.
When they failed the first time, Hao Zhijian could still say that they weren’t ready.
As for the second time, Hao Zhijian had nothing else to say.
Skeleton’s flexible movement along with the accurate swing had surprised He Zhijian.
At that moment, Hao Zhijian’s eyes lit up with excitement and he looked at both Skeleton and Lu Wu with a burning passion.
Obviously, Hao Zhijian was tempted by it.
Well, the thing that he wanted was Skeleton and not Lu Wu.
From his perspective, Skeleton was the most useless summoned beast ever.
As for Lu Wu?
He was just a lucky guy. If it wasn’t because this dude met Li Kai, Hao Zhijian could promise that Lu Wu was nothing when compared to him.
Of course, what he thought deep inside was one thing, but what he showed outside was another.
It could not be denied that failure could really polish a person’s character.
A week ago, Hao Zhijian just got accepted into the special classes and he became an arrogant bastard.
After being crushed by Tutu and getting kicked out by Ye Qingxue, Hao Zhijian finally toned down his arrogance.
To the point that at this moment, he could even tout Lu Wu that he despised in order to get closer to Li Kai.
Well, this was what Hao Zhijian was thinking and Lu Wu could actually guess it as well.
Since Hao Zhijian was still a young lad, there were a lot of emotions that he couldn’t hide.
So, Lu Wu could easily read his mind from all the small movements that he was subconsciously doing. Lu Wu could also guess the reason why Hao Zhijian was getting close to him and what his opinion was on Lu Wu but Lu Wu didn’t care.
Well, his own intention of getting close to Hao Zhijian was not that pure as well.
Hao Zhijian needed a savior while Lu Wu needed a money jar. Both of them had their own selfish intentions!
Other than that, as Hao Zhijian was sure that Li Kai was the one who helped Lu Wu, Lu Wu was planning to make this the truth as well.
On one end, this was a way of self-protection since Lu Wu still hasn’t got his license yet.
On the other end, it was too troublesome trying to explain and it wasn’t necessary.
Yeap, it had nothing to do with Lu Wu trying to act weak in order to take advantage of Hao Zhijian.
Plus, Lu Wu didn’t plan on ‘slaughtering’ this fat sheep directly with Li Kai, being too hasty would do more harm than good.
Plus, there were a lot of things that he hadn’t prepared.
It would be much better to slaughter this sheep once Lu Wu made the necessary preparations.
Therefore, after defeating Hao Zhijian twice and officially accepting him into the team, Lu Wu came up with an excuse and rejected Hao Zhijian’s request of wanting to meet Li Kai. Then, Li Kai told him to leave.
After that, Lu Wu and Pang Tutu went to Li Kai’s place. He pushed away Tutu who was being a busybody. He dragged along Li Kai into the studio and were discussing something for the entire day.
About half an hour later, both of them who were completely soaked in sweat walked out of the studio and Li Kai made a phone call to Li Chun.
In order to protect Lu Wu’s privacy and to provide him a better growth environment, Li Chun would have to keep Lu Wu’s secret.
Li Kai had already mentioned this before. Now that Li Kai was emphasizing it again, Li Chun could see how important this matter was to Li Kai and so he also responsibly replied that he would keep Lu Wu’s secret.
After telling Li Kai about the secret, Lu Wu had his own preparations to make.
As both Lu Wu and Hao Zhijian were taking advantage of each other, Lu Wu definitely wouldn’t go easy on him.
He wanted to get the most out of this Money Jar. Lu Wu needed a lure, he needed something that would make Hao Zhijian give out the money willingly and this lure was on Hao Zhijian himself, or to be more precise, his Frozen Birdie.
Yeah, Lu Wu wanted to make Frozen Birdie’s unobtained skill as a lure.
With Lu Wu’s current level, it would be a little difficult for him to come up with a skill training program that would help a summoned beast gain a new skill, but if he wanted to help a summoned beast gain an obtained skill that was already awakened, it wasn’t as difficult.
This was why Lu Wu already came up with a plan within one night. The lure was already in place, the only thing now was to wait for the prey to come for it.
Lu Wu had the patience but Hao Zhijian didn’t.
With a blink of an eye, it has already been three days since he joined Lu Wu’s team.
For the past three days, they did nothing else other than Lu Wu calling him for a fight each day; he didn’t even get the chance to meet Li Kai.
Therefore, on the fourth day, Hao Zhijian became anxious and immediately requested Lu Wu to take him to Li Kai, saying that he had to see Master Li for something that was very important.
For now, the trap was already set, the knives were out and now even the prey couldn’t wait any longer.
Everything was set. So, Lu Wu no longer wanted to continue stalling Hao Zhijian and brought him to Master Li!
Well, the prey was now entering into the trap that they had prepared…
