So You Have Loved Me Too - Chapter 40
Chapter 40: Entering His Condominium – Part 4
“Do you intend on going back in your current state?” Looking at Ji Anning’s clothes, Ji Chicheng raised his brows.
“Erm…” Ji Anning lowered her head to glance at her clothing, which was still all soaking wet and clinging tightly to her body.
As her grandfather set such strict house rules, it was genuinely a bad idea to return home like this.
But… Where was she? What was she doing here?
Amid her uncertainty, the man in the driver’s seat already undid his seatbelt to alight the car. The tall frame standing outside the car was imperceptibly giving off pressure.
Ji Anning stuck her tongue out and followed him out of the car obediently.
“Come with me.”
Ji Chicheng threw the words at Ji Anning coldly before turning around to follow the arrow signs and walking towards the lift.
He was always reticent. Since it was not like he was selling her off, she simply followed him without questioning him further.
Only after entering the lift did it come to Ji Anning’s attention that not only was this a residential district, but it was premium. The spacious and high-speed lift made audio announcements on each floor that it stopped.
Shortly after announcing they were arriving on the 46th floor, the lift doors opened steadily.
In reality, the environment was far more luxurious than she imagined. There was air-conditioning even at the lift entrance.
Feeling a little cold, Ji Anning shrank her neck as she studied the surroundings to see only two units.
Ji Chicheng walked up to the entrance of one of the units. Placing his thumb into the fingerprint enabled lock, he pressed to open the door.
Ji Anning was surprised. Was this… the condominium he had outside?
Standing where she was open-mouthed, she looked at Ji Chicheng stupefied. To her surprise, he brought her to his apartment.
Seeing Ji Anning standing there in a daze, a cunning sense of smile rippled from the bottom of Ji Chicheng’s eyes as he continued acting impatiently, “What are you standing around for? Do you plan on going back tomorrow morning?”
At that, he veered his eyes away and entered the apartment.
“Mhm. Coming,” Ji Anning nodded her head and replied as she hurried behind him.
Feeling around deftly for the switch, Ji Chicheng pressed the main switch in his home. All the lights in the apartment lit up brilliantly, and the decoration distinctly came into view.
The living room was a solid 70 square feet filled with only essential furniture and was entirely in a cool color scheme.
It was indescribably confident and bold, precisely Ji Chicheng’s style and taste.
As he did not like it over-elaborate or cumbersome, the simpler it was, the better.
“Change your shoes.”
While Ji Anning gave the place a once over, Ji Chicheng changed his shoes. Taking out a pair of large slippers from the shoe cabinet, he threw them by Ji Anning’s feet.
Then he turned to walk into the apartment.
“Little Uncle,” when Ji Anning came to herself, she called Ji Chicheng from behind. Without bothering to put on the slippers, she chased in the man’s footsteps barefooted, “Little Uncle, why did you bring me to your place?”
Ji Chicheng stopped to turn around and look at Ji Anning expressionlessly, “Why do you think I brought you here?”
Ji Anning’s face instantly blushed. He made it seem as though she suspected he brought her to his place to commit unspeakable deeds to her.
She honestly asked out of curiosity. It was not like she was devoid of self-knowledge or stupid enough to have that train of thought.
While Ji Anning griped in her heart, Ji Chicheng’s voice came again, “There are some clothes at my place you can probably fit into. In the room to your right, there’s a wardrobe. Take your pick. Old Master has been under the weather recently. You need to adjust your mood and be sure not to agitate him. I happen to have something to do, so after you get changed, wait for me.”
