So You Have Loved Me Too - Chapter 59
Chapter 59: Forced to Live Together – Part 5
Gritting her teeth, Ji Anning glared viciously at Yang Danning but was incapable of retorting.
All in all, she still hoped Ji Chicheng would not despise her. She yearned to preserve some dignity in front of him.
Sigh. Sure enough, everyone was vainglorious.
So be it if they were to go there. At most, it would cost her a month’s living expenses. She could always get more body double assignments of higher difficulty.
Ronghui Plaza was two stops away from T University and opened only last year. Although it was not deemed high-end, it was not cheap either. When it opened, a lot of big shots got invited, including Wan Yue’er.
After boarding the car, Ji Anning rummaged through her bag to verify she had her sole bank card with her. Otherwise, it would be an embarrassment if she was incapable of footing the bill.
They both arrived in Ji Chicheng’s car. The car stopped in Ronghui Plaza’s underground parking lot.
She alighted the car in an attempt to create an opportunity for Yang Danning and Ji Chicheng to be alone, Ji Anning walked up ahead roughly two meters away from them as she headed to the escalator entrance.
Glass walls surrounded them. Ji Anning walked up to one and halted.
The glass door did not move. She frowned as she stomped her foot hard, but the door continued remaining stock-still.
She glumly stomped her feet again.
“Hahaha…”
Abruptly, Yang Danning’s heartless jesting came from behind, “Ji Anning, you idiot. It’s a manual door. Even if you stomp until your leg breaks, it won’t open.”
On hearing that, Ji Anning scrutinized the door. There were prominent handles on both sides of the glass door. Her little face hastily blushed all the way up to her ears.
Damn. Should malls like this not have automatic doors?
As a straight-A student, Ji Anning made such a rookie mistake. Sure enough, the fellow jinxed her.
At the thought, she gnashed her teeth as she turned her head, about to glare at Ji Chicheng furtively. Unexpectedly, Ji Chicheng was looking right at her. Was that a… smile in those deep and dark eyes of his?
Also, the corners of his lips pursed upwards and seemed to be smiling.
Was he mocking her?
Ji Anning was both embarrassed and annoyed. She looked away before reaching out to open the door with her hand and walking inside frustratedly. Walking so quickly that by the time she got upstairs, Ji Chicheng and Yang Danning had only just gotten onto the escalator one after another.
“Anning only has good grades, but is clueless about everything else.”
Yang Danning jumped on the chance to make small talk with Ji Chicheng about Ji Anning acting stupid.
As she spoke, she raised her head to smile and glance at Ji Anning, who was standing upstairs waiting for them.
Ji Chicheng pursed his lips and smiled without denying it.
Ji Anning scoured the floor she was on before glancing at Ji Chicheng and Yang Danning to see where they were.
She so happened to catch sight of varying degrees of smiles on both their faces while they glanced at her.
Her face turned dusky!
Were they mocking her still?
It meant nothing if the cocky fellow jeered her since he looked down on her, to begin with. Though Yang Danning shockingly mocked along with him the entire time.
That bad and boy crazy friend!
Ji Anning was heartbroken and decided to head to the restaurant first.
While she attempted to find her bearings, she recalled Yang Danning saying it was near the east entrance, so she made her way there.
“Bang!”
Some activity was going on at the mall entrance. When Ji Anning first entered through the door, she was disinterested. But upon hearing the sound of a gunshot, she halted in her steps alarmed.
“Wow, this guy is so cool.”
“He shockingly got seventeen of them and even those tiny ones. That’s so awesome.”
The onlookers cheered.
It attracted Ji Anning’s attention, and she glanced over. There were only a few spectators, and she caught sight of a tall and skinny youth wearing a jacket with his back facing the crowd standing in front of a shooting video game.
