- Chapter 26 - Starring in a Dating Game as a Tokyo Villain Chapter 26
In two years, she will graduate from high school. Immediately after that, she will become the maiden-in-charge of the rituals, forever bound to it.
Ryuto bet that she wouldn’t be able to do so in two years.
If Ryuto wins the bet, then Ruri will be his wife.
There is no doubt that this bet of his was incredibly unreasonable. Besides, he hasn’t even told her what would happen if he lost the bet.
Both of them knew what it was, though.
If Ryuto loses the bet, human lives would be involved.
After all, what he did was simply unforgivable, in addition to two major forces wanting to get rid of him.
In the game, there were two main forces.
The royal family hiding behind the Koujirou’s family’s back.
And Tianmu Yongji’s group.
The protagonist is only given the option to join either group.
However, Ryuto did not intend to join either party.
If he wants to rescue Ruri from her fate, he has to supress the Koujirou family.
However, Ryuto couldn’t rely on Tianmu Yongji either. After all, Yongji is incredibly manipulative and murderous.
Ryuto intended to follow his own path.
He’s even willing to turn against both parties.
If he was alone, Ryuto would have never been able to do this.
But fortunately, he is the master of the Ryuto group. He had men under him.
They are a medium-sized organization, however.
Ryuto was confident he could develop his organization into a threatening force, though.
He was so confident that he proposed this bet to Ruri.
Objectively, Ryuto’s confidence is not unfounded.
Unfortunately, Ruri simply thought that Ryuto is a fool who devoted himself to love.
A big, big, fool. A big and warm fool.
Forget it. If he doesn’t want to listen, then she’ll accept the bet.
“Alright, I agree to the bet.”
Helplessly, she reached out and shook his hand with a smile.
She too hoped that the bet will go through. She rather spend her life with Ryuto than be stuck in a torturous ritual for 20 years.
Besides, Kiryu Ryuto doesn’t seem that bad, minus his stupidity and ferocity.
Ryuto gently caressed her hand in his own and laughed, “It’s a deal, then! I’ll be leaving, farewell!”
“What? Wait! Don’t go.”
She couldn’t believe he was about to leave immediately.
“What is it? Can’t bear to see me leave?”
“No! You ruined the statue! Are you letting me deal with this mess alone?”
Ah. Even Ryuto was stunned upon seeing the big X on the statue’s face.
He merely wanted to make a statement, so he subconsciously crossed out Numin’s face.
He didn’t even realise what he was doing until now.
Hence, in the next few hours, Ryuto squatted by the statue, using sandpaper to smooth out the big X on her face.
It was embarrassing.
‘You’re so stupid, don’t you think about the consequences before doing things? Whatever, it’s kind of interesting, hehe!’ Ruri thought silently.
During the entire process, Ruri watched as he worked while eating cake that Wuyi brought in.
After he was done, he walked out of the Koujirou residence drenched in sweat, as if he had just finished a plumbing job for them.
He sighed, looking back towards the closed doors of the compound, before calling over his two men to transport him back to his base.
At least he knew those two men were loyal to him.
Their names are somewhat strange, though.
Kameda Jiro and Kameda Ojiri.
They looked identical, so he assumed they were twins.
“Jiro, let’s head back to base.”
“Master, I am Ojiri. Jiro is sitting beside me.”
“Sorry, let’s go.”
Ryuto sighed as he sat in the back seat, looking at the unfamiliar scenery outside the window speed pass him.
This battle had only just begun.
