Starting From the Dragon Tribe
Chapter 63: Fucking Psychos! The wheels of the trolley slightly clattered on the smooth floor. Lu Chen walked into this square under the guidance of these lunatics at a very hesitant pace.
“So uh… Minister Abdullah, this place… won’t explode, right?” Lu Chen looked at the huge scientific apparatus, suspecting seriously that there was a bomb or too hidden within.
“Explode? How would that be possible? How could we put something as dangerous as a bomb in our own research space,” Minister Abdullah turned back, his gaze like he was looking at a retard.
Lu Chen thought, well, the equipment you make sure isn’t like this…
“Minister Abdullah, since you aren’t conducting any gaseous experiments, could you take off the mask? Your voice is muffled—it must be uncomfortable, and I’m not a pathogen,” Lu Chen was a bit speechless. The feeling of being stared at by a group of hazmat suits was draining. It caused him certain unpleasant memories and increased his violent impulses.
“Huh? Do you know how many germs are out there? How many viruses you’re carrying around? What if it infects one of us, the treasure of mankind? That’d be a great sin.” Although Minister Abdullah’s face was hidden under the mask, Lu Chen could sense the other person’s punchable expression.
Lu Chen took a deep breath. I am now the Lionheart Society president and the Secret Party’s ace agent. I need to have class. Because he would have to be in the same room as these lunatics for a few days while they conducted experiments, he forced a smile onto his face, “Minister Abdullah, it seems you and your people must be very particular about hygiene in your everyday life.”
Vice Minister Karl saw Lu Chen’s puzzlement and said, “Minister Abdullah is an Arab. For them, nodding means no, and vice versa.”
Lu Chen felt like shit as he thought, since the college is a place of “cultural unification,” we shouldn’t “follow customs.” As expected of the head of the psychos.
At this moment, a researcher said seriously, “The water we drink has to go through thirteen distillations, and the air we breathe must be purified and humidified by dust ionization, so in a sense, you are indeed a pathogen.”
As he said that, he then introduced himself, “Hello, I’m Researcher Martur.”
Lu Chen thought, you guys are really just that convinced I’m a pathogen, huh?
“Then what do you eat?” If they were really that strict and rigorous, then did they only eat space food?
“Hamburgers, fries, coke, and other healthy foods,” Minister Abdullah explained.
Lu Chen: …………
He was no longer the Lu Chen who first came to this world. Although it was true that things that Minister Abdullah said were delicious, but… isn’t that just fucking junk food, no!?
“Oh, Mr. Lu, no need to be confused,” Vice Minister Karl sensed Lu Chen’s doubts and opened his mouth to explain, “This is the common man’s misconception. Our recent research topic is to correct the name of these foods. They are definitely healthy foods.”
Lu Chen did not want to communicate with these psychos for another second. If he didn’t have to watch over the 3rd generation species, he would’ve turned around and went straight up the elevator without a second thought.

“Here we are. Now then, let’s start today’s experiments!” Minister Abdullah spread his hands. Two researchers came forward to pull open a white cloth. A huge tempered glass silo appeared in front of Lu Chen. The interior contained a variety of robotic instruments as well as huge hydraulic restraints. It seemed like the college had long entertained the idea of experimenting on live dragons.
“This is the perfect experimental chamber that combines both alchemy and modern technology. Even if this 3rd generation species were in peak condition, it wouldn’t be able to break through this solid cage!” The Vice Minister proudly explained as he looked at the experimental chamber: this was his research and development project.
Lu Chen cooperatively brought the 3rd generation species into the chamber and fastened her, then looked confusedly back, because he found that the chamber’s door had already closed.
“Minister Abdullah?” Lu Chen asked, puzzled, unaware that the experimental chamber was completely soundproof. The people outside simply could not hear him. In fact, the group of psychos were still outside happily betting to each other what Lu Chen had said.
It was not until the sound transmission system inside the experimental chamber was turned on did his voice come out, along with the voice of Minister Abdullah, “Start the experiment.”
“Wait!!” Lu Chen raised his hand, “Minister, I haven’t exited though?”
Minister Abdullah and the other researchers exchanged looks, then said, “The experiments may become a little intense. You may need to suppress the target after it is stimulated. Isn’t it logical for you to stay inside, hm?”
The other psychos also nodded their heads, showing contempt for him and thought, our S-grade is too stupid.
“Ah? It will be a bit intense? What sorts of experiments?” A bad premonition arose in Lu Chen’s heart.
“Oh, nothing much, just some blood sampling, organ division…”
Lu Chen heard these and thought they were relatively normal, but before he could sigh in relief, what Minister Abdullah said right after made him jump.
“…and high-voltage tolerance test, anesthetic gas tolerance, nerve gas tolerance test, mercury gas test…”
“Stop!!!” Lu Chen cut off Minister Abdullah’s droning as he pointed at his own face, “Minister Abdullah, I don’t have any protective gear!”
High-voltage or whatever, he only saw the familiar electrical current plate—it covered the span of the entire place!
As for what all those gases were… he was a Mystic Warrior, true, but that didn’t mean his respiratory tract had filters!
You bunch of fucking psychos, don’t you think you forgot something?
“Oh, that’s our fault, but the hatch has been closed already, and it’s troublesome to reopen it, so let’s carry out the first few experiments,” Minister Abdullah slapped his forehead, then waved his hand to signal the start of the experiment.
Lu Chen went dumb. This fucking Equipment Department really was full of lunatics.
“Vice Minister Karl, what’s the command for activating the mechanical arm?” A researcher standing at the control panel looked frantically at the keyboard.
“Oh, look at the sticky note posted on the desk. I’ve written all the commands there.”
As if because Lu Chen was not in this space anymore, Vice Minister Karl actually removed his protective hood and was currently biting into a hamburger.
“Vice Minister Karl, you didn’t mark what command corresponded to which experiment, huh?” The researcher was puzzled.
Vice Minister Karl seemed to choke. He quickly picked up a test tube filled with distilled water from the side table and took a sip as he impatiently said, “All the experiments are to be done anyway. Who cares about the order.”
The researcher, after receiving an earful, said “oh” and casually typed a command on the keyboard.
Lu Chen watched this scene unfold, completely dumbfounded, and thought, these were the treasure of mankind? Super researchers with strict attitudes?
When he heard the hissing sound coming from overhead and saw the green gas pouring in, his face turned green too.
Had he known better, he would have offed the 3rd generation species in a single slash!
