Starting From the Dragon Tribe
Chapter 64: Where’s Godzilla?
Japan, Genji Heavy Industries Building
It was a traditional Japanese room with a tatami floor and a kotatsu in the middle of the room.
The plain white walls were sparsely decorated, with only the portraits of Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and Susanoo from Japanese mythology.
Next to the wall, there were several neatly arranged small boxes, and within “sat” many large and small toys. There was a plastic Ultraman and small monsters, Rilakkuma, also Hello Kitty. Every toy had a small label on it, like “Erii の Duck” etc. It seemed like the owner was a very possessive girl.
Opposite of the kotatsu was an LCD TV hanging on the wall. Under the TV was a Playstation (the original PS3, but Erii probably had many more game consoles).
The girl was wearing a red and white Miko costume, consisting of a white undershirt, white robes, and red hakama. Red silk cords were braided into the cuffs and front piece. Even the wide witch costume couldn’t hide her exquisite bodily curves. Her long burgundy hair cascaded downward, with a few strands of hair falling in front of her chest. Combined with her proper duck sit*, it added a touch of cuteness to her.
TL Note: AKA W-sitting.
Just the fact that the girl was sitting made the simple and bland space liven up, bright and naturally beautiful like a master’s finishing touch, making the whole space full of life.
After ending the match on her screen, Erii seemed to feel somewhat bored as she put the controller down and stretched. She stretched a bit too backwards, flashing her delicate and pretty collar bone under her white undershirt.
She scrolled down the PSN friend list, which was empty save for two avatars. One was a star tortoise, while the other was Godzilla, but they were both offline.
She tried to invite Godzilla to play against her, but the person didn’t respond. Of course, those who aren’t online can’t play with you.
She tilted her head, as if lost in thought.
Godzilla had already disappeared for several days.
She sent a “Let’s play again,” and perhaps knowing that the other person was unlikely to reply, closed the PSN.
She slowly got up and skillfully untied the large red belt around her waist, removing the upper white garment, followed by the translucent undergarment that slid down her delicate curves, revealing her rounded shoulders and dazzling winged scapula.
Her skin was pure white, with the transparency of Chinese white jade, and then she rose from her scarlet hakama, her slender, pure skin exposed to the air, but the remaining parts of her were well-guarded by the white lace.
She bent forward and took a yellow rubber duck out of the box, put it on her head, and ran on tiptoes into the bathroom. She was going to shower.
When there was no one to play games with her or when there were no interesting shows to watch, she liked to sit in a huge bronze bathtub. The enclosed bathroom was like her little kingdom, and the rubber duck was her best friend who played games with her.
Big brother was really busy, she knew. She would be a good girl and not force her brother to play with her.
It’s just… where did “Godzilla” go?

Cassell College, underground, Walter Alheim
At least the Equipment Department wasn’t completely indifferent to the S-grade and instantly stopped the release of the gas as well as opened the experimental chamber to let Lu Chen out. At the same time, the air circulation system above the chamber started to operate. This counted as a sort of conclusion to this drama.
Afterwards, Lu Chen changed into a protective suit and hood, but if he were to be honest, he really didn’t want to go back into the experimental chamber.
In the end, it was Vice Minister Karl who persuaded Lu Chen to continue cooperating with the experiment with the incessant promising that they would conduct the high-voltage test before he went back in.
The next few days, Lu Chen could be said to be completely physically and mentally exhausted. He vowed that next time, no matter what, he would never ever return to this hellhole.
The experiments were finally successfully completed, and the Equipment Department systematically tested out the 3rd generation species’s resistance to various weapons. It was said that new and improved equipment could be produced for the college based on the results of the experiments.
After conducting a high-powered marrow extraction on the 3rd generation’s spinal cord and a large amount of blood samples were stored, Minister Abdullah handed Lu Chen an awl.
The awl was cast in metal alloy. It was easy to tell immediately at a glance that it was created by the Equipment Department from its inelegant appearance. At the tip was a magnificent red color.
“The Sage’s Stone. Only this can completely kill the spirits of those belonging to the Dragon Raja. If you use the alchemic weapon in your hand, they may still have a chance of resurrection,” Vice Minister Karl explained.
After these few days of inhuman experiments, the once-noble 3rd generation had lost all spirit within her eyes. When Lu Chen walked towards her with the awl, a hint of relief flashed involuntarily in her eyes.
Just before the awl met its target, however, her eyes shone with a little relish as she looked at the untouchables that dared to experiment on her. These peasants didn’t know that they were nourishing a bigger monster, and that her own purpose had been fulfilled.
Ding—
Lu Chen heard a notification ring within his head. His Road to Godhood had just advanced a step, but he was still in the Equipment Department, so naturally, he couldn’t just extract his reward in front of a bunch of psychos.
“Minister Abdullah, can I go back now,” Lu Chen asked.
“Go go go, go quickly, there’s nothing for you here anymore. Next up is our work period,” Minister Abdullah waved his hand in disgust. They were currently immersed in deep investigation of various parts of the dragon and did not have the slightest intention of keeping the boorish Lu Chen around.
Lu Chen resisted the urge to kick Abdullah’s ass, instead preparing to leave directly. He needed to leave this hellhole ASAP, else he turned into a psycho as well.
“Wait, your blade, leave it here,” Vice Minister Karl, however, stopped Lu Chen. Lu Chen puzzledly turned around, thinking, I helped you guys, and now you want to confiscate my weapon?
“Your mentor said that the Red Maple suffered a lot of damage in the battle. In my view, this was the Execution Bureau’s negligence, for how could they let the ace agent fight a pureblood dragon using a half-assed alchemic weapon? Although this blade was not produced by the Equipment Department, the equipment used by agents during missions are not strong enough, which is negligence on our part. Originally, we intended to prepare another alchemic weapon for you, but ‘that’ will still take a while to complete, so just leave Red Maple here, and we’ll repair it for you a little,” Vice Minister’s words made Lu Chen very happy. It seemed that he didn’t do all that work for nothing, but he still had some concerns as he warned, “Just a repair is fine. The bombs and other features won’t be needed.”
Vice Minister Karl took Red Maple and patted Lu Chen’s shoulder, “Don’t worry, we’ll only strengthen its material as well as add a trace of the Sage’s Stone to the blade. We won’t add any arbitrary functions to it.”
Saying that, he also made a show of earnestness as he sought Minister Abdullah’s affirmation, “Right, Minister?”
Minister Abdullah nodded his head and smiled at Lu Chen.
Though Lu Chen thought that something was not right, Red Maple indeed had a bunch of nicks that needed to be fixed, so he had to give it to the Equipment Department.
“Thanks in advance, then, everyone. I’ll take my leave.” After taking care of these things, Lu Chen zoomed into the elevator without so much as glancing back once. Time to run!
