Starting From the Dragon Tribe
Chapter 69: Set out, Three Amigos!
Lu Chen left the principal’s office and went straight to the Lionheart Society.
In Amber Hall, the members who stayed in school stopped the work at hand and stood at respectful attention upon seeing the arrival of the president. This was the new living legend. In terms of just 3rd generation species alone, he had already crushed two!
Lu Chen arrived at the president’s office and sure enough, he saw Chu Zihang. He had thought the other person had already gone home after finishing his mission. Would he really be okay not going home when the Spring Festival was just around the corner?
But when he saw Chu Zihang’s piercing golden eyes, he understood why the other did not go home directly after the mission.
“What’s up? DIdn’t I tell you not to abuse that technique?” Lu Chen frowned slightly. Chu Zihang clearly wasn’t the type of person to think it was cool to light up his golden pupils for no reason, so something must’ve been wrong with him for him to be like this.
Chu Zihang was considered one of his few friends in this world, and he knew that once this technique, Blood Rage, was used, there were no brakes, so to speak.
Looking at Chu Zihang’s appearance, not only did he use it, but he used it quite a few times! He had never seen such a serious case even among certain agents of the Execution Bureau who had mastered Blood Rage, even his golden pupils were unable to be extinguished.
“This mission was a bit troublesome that it would’ve been dangerous if I didn’t use Blood Rage,” Chu Zihang’s tone was calm, his bland expression acting as if what happened to him was just a small deal.
“Sigh, what did the college say?” Lu Chen sighed. He should have expected it. Though Chu Zihang’s face was mostly blank, he was actually a very stubborn person within. Since he had decided to pursue power to become stronger, he would have used that technique sooner or later.
“My mentor helped me suppress it,” Chu Zihang said as he approved another document, really showing what it was like to be a good and responsible “president,” which made Lu Chen slightly embarrassed.
“In a few days, it’ll be the Spring Festival. How’re you going to go back to your parents looking like this?” Lu Chen pulled a stool toward him and took a stack of documents. They consisted of financial statements of the clubs under the Lionheart Society as well as applications for the next quarter.
“As long as I wear contacts, it’s fine. I just received an email from Norma. It seems like I don’t need to go back home either.”
Lu Chen took out his phone and checked, the mission had already been set. The Secret Party was so strict. They were to go the day after tomorrow, as if they didn’t have the slightest regard for whether or not its agents had to go home for holidays.
“Then your parents don’t have complaints,” Lu Chen asked puzzledly. Though he didn’t have parents, he thought that no matter what, any parent would be mad if their child didn’t return for the holidays.
Chu Zihang’s hand, which was correcting documents, stopped, “Dad did say a few words about it, but my mom was fine with it…”
After thinking a bit, he added, “After hearing that my club was traveling to Japan, she wanted me to bring back some skincare products from there.”
“Auntie is big-hearted,” Lu Chen laughed as he said.
“Mom always had a big heart, which is a good thing…” Chu Zihang paused, “…meaning it’s less troublesome.”
Lu Chen put away the documents on the table and said, “Take a break, since you won’t be able to finish them all anyway. When school starts, give it to Susie and the others. We’ll travel using public expenses.”
Chu Zihang calculated the remaining workload on the table and also felt that it was indeed unrealistic to deal with all of it in two days, so he stopped, “I heard you were invited again to have afternoon tea with the principal. Seems like you just returned.”
“That right, it was those little treats again, so I wasn’t able to eat my fill. Wanna go get some actual ‘afternoon tea’ together?” Lu Chen smiled. Although he wasn’t too hungry, Chu Zihang nodded his head.

The morning after, Lu Chen sorted out his luggage a bit, though there wasn’t much, just an extra winter jacket and a set of underclothes.
He actually wasn’t afraid of the cold at all, but sometimes it was better to act normal.
“Ugh… Junior Brother… You’re going now?” Finger tiredly lifted his head to look at Lu Chen, who had just packed his luggage. This NEET lazed about in the dorm even during break.
“You must still be deep in your dreams,” Lu Chen said as he thought, can’t you say something nice? and picked up his luggage to get ready to go.
“Oh, that’s right, Junior Brother, remember to bring me a few genuine CDs back, the new releases. I’ll send what I want to your phone later!” Upon seeing how Lu Chen didn’t respond, he added, “Junior Brother, you’re gonna play too!”
Lu Chen just waved and said, “Got it.”
When he arrived at the entrance of the campus, he found that Chu Zihang was already there waiting for him. They got on the World Python, which was already parked outside the college. The trip planned by the college was to go to Chicago airport first and board the principal’s special plane, Sleipnir. Frankly speaking, Lu Chen did not want to board this plane again.
More than an hour later, Lu Chen and Chu Zihang looked confusedly at the golden-haired man sitting on the leather sofa in the middle of Sleipnir.
And that golden-haired man was holding a glass of whiskey on the rocks in one hand and a Cohiba cigar in his mouth. Upon seeing the two of them, he even smiled and waved enthusiastically, as if he were the owner of this place.
“Caesar?” Lu Chen instantly recognized this golden-haired man, “Didn’t your uncle ban you from participating in this mission?”
Caesar put out his cigar in the ashtray on the table and smiled, “I will do anything my uncle forbids, especially this mission—it looks interesting.”
The main focus of this mission was to send Cassell College’s most elite youth right now to give the Japanese branch a little scare. How could they be the elites without him, Caesar?
Cassell College sent two members of the Lionheart Society and no one from the Student Union. If such news spread, it would be a humiliation for him, Caesar. Not to mention, he never listened to Frost’s advice anyway.
“Caesar Gattuso. We meet again,” Caesar got up to shake hands with Chu Zihang, except his tone and mannerisms were like that of an emperor greeting and showing compassion for his subordinate.
“Chu Zihang. I have a deep impression of you,” Chu Zihang nodded and shook hands with Caesar. For a moment, Lu Chen was under the illusion that there was an electrical spark between both of their eyes.
He thought for a moment and understood that although he was the president of Lionheart Society, he was a hands-off sort of boss, the real power was in Chu Zihang’s grasp.
And Chu Zihang had performed well this semester, not falling behind the Student Union, and even gaining the upper hand in some exchanges.
Caesar didn’t look down on Chu Zihang just because he was the vice president. He was a rival he acknowledged.
As for Lu Chen, he conceded that he was very capable in combat. Even if he were fully equipped, he still wouldn’t be able to match up to him, but determining a person’s excellence didn’t rely solely on “fighting capabilities.” He considered himself a natural leader, and that his tactics were top-tier. In this aspect, the obviously “brutish” Lu Chen should be inferior to him.
“Senior Brother Caesar, have you obtained the approval of the college?” Cassell College’s missions were no joke. there was a strict process of approval and regulations. He was the team leader of this mission, but did not receive the news of the sudden addition of Caesar.
But Caesar snapped his fingers and said, “Soon.”
As if by coincidence, the moment Caesar’s words fell, their phones rang out. They had all received an email from Norma.
On it, said that Caesar had joined at the last moment, but of course, the mission’s team leader was still Lu Chen.
