Chapter 78: Mission/Sightseeing Plan
Lu Chen and his group were to stay at the Tokyo Peninsula Hotel. Gen Chisei only dropped them off at the door.
But apparently everything that followed had already been arranged. Upon entering the lobby, there were attendants on either side who bowed deeply, “You’ve worked hard. Welcome to the Tokyo Peninsula.”
The attendants were all beauties with high hairlines. Their swan-like napes were exposed, and the few strands of hair that fell next to the side of their necks added a bit of playfulness to their demure appearance. And their form-fitting slitted kimonos accentuated their seductive curves.
The Japanese branch had booked them a presidential suite, which made Caesar very happy. Originally he heard that the Japanese branch was not very friendly towards the headquarters agents and was originally going to book a hotel himself, but it seemed to not be necessary for the time being.
And apparently, the Japanese branch had already investigated them in advance. Caesar’s room was in a European decorative style, Chu Zihang’s was a room with log furniture, and Lu Chen’s was… a complete dojo and restaurant two in one.
Lu Chen thought that the Japanese branch probably slightly misunderstood him. They only got half of it. It was true that he loved to eat, but what the hell was this dojo? He even saw a wooden dummy in there.
The Japanese definitely misinterpreted the rumors. In the eyes of the Japanese students who were in the Lionheart Society, the president’s image was clearly too ascended. They thought that the president stayed in the dormitory to do some meditation stuff. An elite like the president must have some sort of standard for himself at all times.
But in reality, the actual situation was exactly opposite of what they thought. Lu Chen was merely playing games with Finger in the dorm, but recently, Finger got hooked on binging dramas, so he had been mostly playing games with the girl named Erii.
In the end, they gathered in Caesar’s room, mainly because Caesar’s room was the most comfortable and had a lot of vintage wines. Lu Chen had brought his stash of night snacks from his room here. He didn’t get to eat enough back in Tamamo-no-Mae. The Inuyama patriarch was so wasteful.

Caesar lay on his side on the sofa and lit a cigar, exhaled, and said, “Although this arrangement by the Yamata-no-Orochi is done very well, this is also one of their demonstrations.”
Chu Zihang picked up, “They’re trying to show that they know our information like the back of their hand.”
Lu Chen retorted, “Then they should’ve put a Playstation in my room and drawer of vinyl CDs. That’d have saved me the trouble of buying them for Senior Brother Finger.”
Chu Zihang hesitated and said, “They really didn’t do enough homework on Brother Lu.”
He knew that Lu Chen stayed in the room not to meditate, but to play games. After all, he lived across the street, and once in the middle of the night, he also heard Finger excitedly shouting. That powerful penetrating force couldn’t be stopped by even the good sound insulation of the Cassell College dorms.
At first, he was also puzzled, thinking about Brother Lu’s “self-indulgence,” but Brother Lu was ridiculously strong and seemed to keep getting stronger, so he wondered if that playing games was part of training, and recently considered buying a Playstation to try.
“Playstation? I didn’t think you’d play games,” For Caesar, it was the first time he’d heard this news, “I personally like the Star Ocean series.”
He actually didn’t play games anymore, but didn’t want to be unable to follow a conversation when people brought up a topic.
“An old game from ‘96. It seems the Gattuso family heir’s childhood wasn’t as harsh as I thought,” Chu Zihang nodded. He had also played that game. His dad bought him a game console to let his son have more in common with his peers, but he only played a little. He was more content to go to a “children’s palace” to wield the bamboo sword.
“Then what should I have been like in your impression?” Caesar was sarcastic. Chu Zihang’s tone wasn’t mean, but it left a bad taste in his mouth. Perhaps he didn’t even know it himself, but it touched a sore spot, that he didn’t actually have a good childhood.
But Chu Zihang replied after giving it serious thought, “Being taught all sorts of aristocratic manners. Learning all sorts of musical instruments?”
Caesar was momentarily speechless, because Chu Zihang was spot on. Although he hated that time, Chu Zihang said the truth.
“Try this, I feel like it tastes better than the stuff from Tamamo-no-Mae,” Lu Chen was different. The sky was big, the ground was big, but his stomach was the biggest of them all. All sorts of Japanese food were shoveled into his mouth, and choking a bit, he opened a bottle of ‘98 Moët & Chandon, poured a cup full, and chugged.
They all knew each other well, so they didn’t have a need to pay much attention to etiquette. This was so much more relaxing than eating at Tamamo-no-Mae.
Caesar and Chu Zihang exchanged glances and lost interest in “interrogating” Chu Zihang’s childhood. At this moment, they were more interested in Lu Chen’s childhood. What sort of environment was needed to create such a big-hearted eating monster.
“Tell us about the plan,” Lu Chen heartily rubbed his belly, leaned back, and reclined on the sofa. At this moment, they had finished their late night snack and had plenty of wine.
“I think it would be more efficient to split up,” Chu Zihang got a pen and paper out of nowhere, then wrote, “Genji Heavy Industries,” “Ganyuu Institute,” and “Execution Bureau” and drew circles around them.
“Genji Heavy Industries is considered the core industry of the Japanese branch. Many important people are there. Caesar is the most suitable for going there,” As if seeing the flash of emotion that had crossed Caesar’s eyes a few moments ago or that he felt guilty, Chu Zihang’s words were a lot more considerate.
Caesar also did not object to Chu Zihang’s proposal. He wasn’t giving orders, and besides, his words undoubtedly affirmed his social skills, so he couldn’t help but nod his head.
“Ganyuu Institute involves a lot of technology. I’m pretty good at STEM, so maybe I’ll find something,” Chu Zihang drew another line on Ganyuu Institute, sort of like a marker. Finally, it was just the Execution Bureau. He looked at Lu Chen, and his meaning couldn’t be more obvious.
The Execution Bureau was probably the shadiest. If one was able to get in and see the current situation in Japan, they may be able to find a lot of useful clues.
But Lu Chen froze and looked at Chu Zihang and felt a bit shameful. He shook his head, “What I wanted to discuss was where we should go sightseeing tomorrow.”
Caesar was unsurprised. They had talked about this originally on the plane, that this mission was a long-term one, so there was no need to rush.
But after the battle at Tamamo-no-Mae, they had gone into “mission mode” and didn’t expect Lu Chen to still be thinking about sightseeing.
“Then how about this, we’ll deal with personal matters first tomorrow, then the night of the day tomorrow we’ll go to Takamagahara. I’ll be in charge of these processes to ensure that we get to experience a variety of Japan’s top flavors,” Caesar slapped his thigh and settled the matter.
He had always been the sort of person to go all out and take charge. NoNo would impulsively say to go to Chicago, and even with the rain pouring outside, he would still open the convertible and run out into the rain with his little devil.
He prided himself in having good taste and sense of style, and that listening to his traveling arrangements was the right move, and directing groups of people gave him an inexplicable sense of superiority… of course, he wasn’t aware of this thought process himself.
“Tomorrow, I’ll go buy some skincare products for my mom,” Chu Zihang looked at Lu Chen nodded vigorously, obviously agreeing with Caesar’s plan, so he could only give up on the serious task at hand.
“Then I can definitely recommend a few brands for you that Auntie will definitely like,” Caesar was clearly feeling a bit high from finalizing his plan. He looked at Chu Zihang in a friendlier light, and was even enthusiastic to give some advice.
Lu Chen looked at this scene unfold and smiled, but became a bit dejected. Where do I go shopping tomorrow?
