Chapter 30 A Torn Heart
No matter from which point of view, the experience with Bastet on Philae Island was wonderful, unparalleled, unique, and irreplaceable.
More importantly, it was a pleasure.
After getting off Tan Weili, Bastet said to him, “I have a premonition that I will be pregnant with your child. I’ve already decided. This child will be called Maahes.”
Tan Weili was slightly surprised to hear that.
In his memory, Bastet in Egyptian mythology did have a son.
And his name was Maahes!
However, perhaps due to the limited academic information in the Chinese academic circle, or perhaps there was no record of it in Egyptian mythology, Tan Weili had never heard of Maahes’ father.
However, considering that his father had also slept with the two sisters, Isis and Nephthys, and had given birth to Horus and Anubis, he felt that it was a pity.
As Horus, he had inherited some of his father’s characteristics. It wasn’t strange for him to sleep with both Hathor and Bastet.
After getting the sleeping fruit from Philae Island, Tan Weili and Bastet returned to Egypt.
Then, just as recorded in Egyptian mythology, they mixed the juice of the sleeping fruit into the beer and induced Hathor to drink it.
After drinking the beer with the sleeping fruit juice, Hathor really did fall asleep.
So, they took Hathor to the palace of God Ra.
“I didn’t expect you to succeed, Horus.”
“Thank you for your sacrifice, allowing Hathor to regain her rationality… Well, I think you should have already sensed the fate between you and Hathor, right?”
“What’s going on?” Ra asked as he looked at Tan Weili, who was standing next to Bastet.
Upon hearing this, Tan Weili felt a faint pressure coming from Bastet’s direction.
Even though he could no longer feel the throbbing of love, the heavy burden of responsibility still lingered in his heart.
But after seeing Tan Weili’s hesitation, Bastet said, “Yes, Father. On the way to Philae Island, Horus already told me that he could feel his and my sister’s fate.”
“He knew that he would marry my sister!”
Tan Weili was a little shocked when he heard Bastet’s words.
But when he looked at Bastet, he found that she was smiling at him.
“Very good!”
Knowing that Tan Weili already knew that he would be married to Hathor, God Ra didn’t say anything
He took back the Sun God’s power from Hathor.
In this way, the Egypt Goddess of War who had lost her mind became the Goddess of Love and Beauty, the Goddess of Wealth, the Goddess of Dance, and the Goddess of Music in ancient Egyptian mythology.
Hathor, who had woken up from her sleep and regained her rationality, naturally heard her father’s arrangements.
The confused Hathor didn’t raise any objections.
After all, she and Horus were destined to be a couple.
However, when they left the God Ra’s palace and were on their way to the Pharaoh’s Palace, Hathor couldn’t help but pull her sister Bastet to a corner where Tan Weili didn’t notice and chat privately.
“What’s wrong, my sister?”
Bastet was smiling as she looked at Hathor, as if she was looking at a family member who had been separated for a long time. She didn’t seem jealous at all.
With Bastet’s superb acting skills, Hathor didn’t notice that her sister had secretly eaten her husband.
She just looked at her fiancé from a distance and asked Bastet, “Sister, I heard that you were with Horus on his way to Philae Island to pick the sleeping fruit.”
“Can you tell me more about Horus’ personality?”
Hearing this, Bastet couldn’t help but recall her past with Tan Weili.
From their meeting in the temple of Ra to how he talked back to Tafnut for her totheir encounter with Set at the end of the River of Ra to the lingering night on Philae Island.
In the end, Bastet said to Hathor, “Horus is a god with a good personality! You don’t know this, but he was the one who came to me first, hoping that I could help him get the sleeping fruit on Philae Island to save you.”
“I believe that after you get married, his love for you will not be any less than the Father, Shu, Tefnut, and I!”.
Hearing Bastet’s words, a touch of red climbed up Hathor’s cheeks.
When Hathor was crazily absorbing the Sun God’s power from Ra, she was a female God of War with a lion’s head and a human body.
After regaining her senses, Hathor had a human face.
However, in Egyptian mythology, the image of Hathor was related to the image of a cow.
Therefore, even though she had a human face, her ears were sharp and slender like a cow’s, which made her look a little like the legendary elves.
When she was shy, her gorgeous face was simply too beautiful to be taken in!
Looking at Bastet, Hathor said with some embarrassment, “I wanted to ask you, what is Horus’ personality like? What are his strengths and weaknesses? I want to get to know my husband better before I get married…”
At this point, Hathor’s expression was a little disappointed.
Before marriage, not knowing much about the other half of one’s life was a common problem for humans before the modern era.
Even in modern times, it was not uncommon for marriage to come first before love.
However, her understanding of her fiancé was not as good as her sister’s. This reality still made Hathor feel extremely defeated.
At this moment, how she wished that she was the one taking the risk with Horus.
“How romantic it would be if I could adventure and fight with him!”
“Hey! If it’s possible, I want to do it with him for the first time in my life on Philae Island under a tree full of sleeping fruits!”
“Ah!”
When she heard that Hathor wanted to complete her first time with Tan Weili under the tree on Philae Island, Bastet couldn’t act anymore for a moment.
Her eyes dodged for a moment. But in the next second, Hathor grabbed her hand and said, “Thank you, Sister! Although the rescue mission for me was planned by Horus, your contribution cannot be overlooked.”
“I’m very happy to have a sister like you. It’s so good to have you…”
With that, Hathor took a step forward, chuckling as she leaned her forehead against Bastet’s.
Hathor chuckled, closed her eyes, and said to Bastet, “I swear, if you encounter any danger in the future, I will definitely do what you did to save me and save you from danger without a care for my own safety!”
“Even if it means death!”
Seeing Hathor close her eyes and say ‘even if it means death’, Bastet couldn’t help it anymore.
Tears of mixed feelings flowed out of her eyes.
She sobbed and said to Hathor in a sobbing voice, “Don’t…”
“Big Sister, can you not be so good to me…”
Bastet’s heart felt like it was being torn apart as she listened to Hathor’s confession.
If her sister didn’t give her any special indication, Bastet might have been able to calmly face her relationship with Horus.
But at this moment…
Instead of expressing her gratitude to her fiancé for saving her, Hathor first confessed to her sister who had stolen her fiancé…
A strong sense of guilt instantly filled Bastet’s heart.
