- Chapter 36-1 - Stuttering Big Boss’s White Moonlight Chapter 36-1
The days of a student seem to pass in a flash. After the sports meeting, time accelerated, and the final exam arrived in the blink of an eye.
After the final exams, they entered the third year with one foot.
That was the hardest year for Cheng Chu.
It seemed like a watershed of fate. That year, she lost her brother and her dream.
Birds with their wings folded are destined to never feel the vastness of the sky anymore.
Towards the end of the term, everyone was eager to review, and in the teaching building laughter seemed to be much quieter.
This exam will be the last opportunity for class mobility. By the third year of high school, in order to stabilize the mood of everyone, the school decided not to implement the mobility system for key classes.
After school, the two walked side by side on the campus path as usual.
In the evening of early June, the crimson sunset cast shadows on the trail through the leaves of camphor.
Cheng Chu pursed her lips and said, “Are you nervous?”
Gu Miao shook his head.
He studies hard and is motivated. Since entering the key class, he has never fallen out of the top ten of the class ranking, so there is nothing to worry about.
“That’s good.” Cheng Chu nodded slightly.
Some unknown flowers were planted on the side of the road, and the light fragrance of flowers gradually wafted through the air.
Cheng Chu squeezed the corner of her clothes, hesitated for a moment, and said, “I may be going to the Music High School next semester.”
She is an art candidate, and the entrance exam is in December this year, so the whole semester of the third year of high school will be used to prepare for the entrance exam. The No. 1 Middle School has a cooperative relationship with the Middle School of Music. All the music specialities in the school will go there for training in the next semester.
Gu Miao’s steps were slightly stagnant, and the summer wind was hot and sticky on his face.
“How long?” His voice was dull.
Cheng Chu said: “It’s almost a semester, and I will be back when the entrance exam ends in December.”
The cicadas cried long and far away, and Gu Miao’s hands trembled slightly, feeling melancholy.
He raised his eyes and looked at the lush camphor trees on the side of the path.
For six long months, when she came back, even the leaves would have fallen.
Seeing that he was silent, Cheng Chu said quickly: “Six months will pass quickly, if…”
She lowered her eyes, her long butterfly-wing eyelashes trembling slightly, finally resisting the shyness in her heart, and whispered: “If you miss me, call me.”
The girl’s voice was clear and sweet, and the sultry temperature around them seemed to have been reduced a bit, and the faint ambiguity in her words made Gu Miao’s heart tight.
His ears gradually turned red, and he pursed his lips, suppressing the shallow joy that surged in his heart, and said, “Well, yes. If it’s you…”
He lowered his eyes shyly, showing his flushed ears, calmed his mind, and continued: “If you…, you can also call me.”
The last ray of sunset on the horizon disappeared, and the dark night covered his shy eyes, but could not conceal the caution in his words.
He has never been a bold person like Cheng Chu, and perhaps cheering for her at the sports meeting that day has exhausted his life’s courage.
And there are only two of them here, and they are so close, as long as he lowers his eyes slightly, he can see the girl’s clear eyes that can see through all his emotions.
The words “miss me” seemed to have caused a fire that rolled in his heart, making his heart sore.
The dimly yellow street lamp was shining, and Gu Miao still couldn’t say those two words after all.
But Cheng Chu didn’t mind. She smiled, her eyes filled with joy, and her tone was brisk: “Well, I will call you.”
Gu Miao blushed even harder.
The camphor tree on one side was blown by the wind, and a few leaves fell.
