- Chapter 8 - Suddenly I Have a Husband and Children Chapter 8
“Mommy, Mommy! Drink this.”
The little girl pretended to lift the teacup gracefully with her short pinky.
Estella unexpectedly accepted a glass of dirt.
“Is this for me?”
“Drink it!”
“This?”
“Drink! It’s Lucy’s idea to let Monmy drink tea.”
Estella pretended to drink the dirt gracefully following the child’s behavior.
Then she put down the teacup and smiled
slightly awkwardly.
Then, the child pushes the tea cup to Estella’s mouth as signaling her to drink it again.
At this rate, Estella quickly distracted the little girl because she thought she would really eat dirt tea.
“We’re gonna need more sugar. Go get some more sugar.”
“Sugar! Sugar for the tea!”
The child goes back to the back of the greenhouse.
The young boy was also excited to make a make a tea with her sister so he followed her.
When the children disappeared, Estella and Izak were thrown in an awkward atmosphere.
“…uh, I mean. What we were talking about?”
Estella mumbled, twisting her hair for no reason.
Her emotions which had been anger beyond frustration until earlier were scattered into the air due to the little girl intrusion.
That seemed to happen the same to Izak.
He said earlier that he didn’t believe her at all and didn’t seem to want to hear anything out of her mouth.
“Let’s sit down and talk for now.”
“Where is the seat?”
At Estella’s words, Izak tapped the floor next to him.
“Sit on the ground?”
“There’s also a mat on top of the ground.”
“I’ve never sat on the floor in the palace.”
At Estella’s words, Izak laughed as if she were absurd. Then he took off his coat and laid it on the mat.
“Can’t you do this?”
“…no.”
Estella quickly sat on it.
There was an awkward silence again.
Estella secretly looked at Izak, wondering why couple would be so awkward.
‘How did I marry Izak in the future? What about the wedding with Lily? No, was they married because they loved each other in the first place?’
In fact, Estella was still thinking this was a dream.
She had a crush on him for 5 years.
She was a princess who got bored quickly.
Everything she wanted in the world was given to her, and there was nothing Estella could not have.
Other young Princes have been begging every day to be in Estella’s eyes, but no one has let Estella fall as much as with Izak, no matter how handsome the foreign Princes came in front of her.
One true love.
Estella wanted the love of the whole world to be focused on her, while she would only love one.
But, she have never imagined she’d get this much of a lovesick.
However, she realized that loving someone while loving Izak was as long as making your love one happy.
Of course, when he married Lily Bertrand, she cried and embarrassed everyone in the palace as well as her father, but she prayed for Izak’s happiness with her swollen eyes and broken heart.
Wishing For someone’s happiness!
It was impossible for a princess who was immature.
But now that it has happened, Izak became an unforgettable person for Estella.
‘I married Izak. I’ve got two kids with him… Now a divorce? No, don’t I need to know what’s going on First?’
Izak broke the awkwardness between them first while she was still deciding what to ask.
“So, you’ve gone from the past to the future.”
“What? Oh, right!”
“Then you are not the 26 years old you, but you are the 19 years old one?”
“Right.”
“You didn’t lose your memory?”
“Yes, that’s right! Someone called me from the pond the day you married Lily. He told me to look back at the clock. It felt strange, so I looked around and suddenly got dizzy and fell into the water and went down very deep. But when I opened my eyes, my God! Seven years later? That’s what happened.”
Izak looked at Estella with an unknown look.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Why? I’m not trying to say something crazy again.”
“…No, come to think of it, your behavior and tone are definitely very different from before. She’s like Estella, nineteen years old. Either you’re very good at acting, or something ridiculous has happened.”
“It’s not acting. You’re right. You can’t trust people like this?”
“I can trust others but thanks to someone, I couldn’t now.”
As if hit her with a sword coming from his mouth, Estella even wanted to shake Izak by the collar, saying that she would blow everyone that betrayed him right away.
However, she couldn’t ask anything more as the two little children, who were carrying a lot of stuff, arrived.
Estella had a lot of time, so she comforted herself and looked at what the children had brought.
“Mom, this! Eat this! Dad, eat this too!”
“Is this something delicious? Oh! This is a macaron!”
Then she gave Estella a bowl of water with the soil and kneaded it with attached two green leaves to it.
Estella, who used to enjoy macaroons, gave Izak a helping look at the absurd gifts.
The children keep giving it to her to try it quickly.
Estella turns her head to the side and pretends to eat with her mouth open because she feels like she will burst into tears if she doesn’t eat.
“Delicious. It’s delicious, so go make a few more.” Estella said, handing the cut-off earth macaron.
“Is it good? Was it really good?”
“Yes, it’s delicious.”
With a grin, the two little children hold each other’s hands and head back to the corner of the greenhouse.
They could make many of this ‘macarons’ by spreading a lot of soil and applying water.
Put muddy water in a small bowl and a glass of tea to give a look like coffee, or even plate it, and carefully put herbs around the bowl on top of the dough.
They look so excited among themselves.
“They’re very bright. Is it because they look like me….”
“They must be more excited with your here today.”
“What?”
“Because you didn’t usually come.”
“…me?”
“Yes.”
Izak looked at Estella for a moment with a short answer.
Sad eyes.
She wanted to ask why she didn’t usually come, but her mouth couldn’t blurt out the right words.
She didn’t know what it is, but she feel like she have done something wrong.
For no reason, she flicked her nails quietly to avoid his eyes.
Perhaps without the children, they would have had an awkward time if they hadn’t intervened in making food again.
Izak smiled as if he were familiar with the children’s cooking, sipping a muddy tea and pretending to eat dirt macarons and bread.
The children stamped their feet in excitement and giggled, then immediately rushed into Izak’s arms and hugged him.
Two small children hung on Izak for a long time, after that the boy reached out to Estella.
“Mommy! You came here!”
