Chapter 24: Constantine’s Past

“It’s here!” Constantine said in a deep voice while stroking the giant axe in his hand.

Standing outside the cave, Adams and Vivian curiously peered inside, only to see a dim red light flickering in the cave, as if there was a blood-colored river inside. They could also smell a faint rotting smell which made them nauseous.

Constantine calmly took out a face cloth and covered his mouth and nose. He gestured for Adams to follow him before leading the way into the cave.

Seeing this, Adams and Vivian also covered their mouths and noses before following Constantine into the Scarlet Cave.

After entering the karst cave, the space inside gradually opened up, and the rotting smell became stronger and stronger. However, Adams and Vivian were no longer in the mood to care about that anymore, because the scene inside the cave had gotten their full attention.

Adams and Vivian, who were behind him, could not help but be stunned. From the bald leader’s tone, Constantine seemed to be on the same team as them. He was not the so-called military guide at all!

Constantine stood ramrod straight and said with a cold expression, “Frank, I’ve never been one of you guys. There’s no such thing as a traitor! I’m Colonel Constantine, a high-ranking general of the Empire’s military. I’ve been ordered to infiltrate the Storm Squadron in the Wanderer Organization’s. Constantine’s eyes nearly popped out and he couldn’t help but exclaim,”Th-this is a military magic scroll!”
