Super Spender - Chapter 503
Chapter 503: Chapter 497 Alien Attack
“Stupid-ass! Finn Lewis was on the brink of snapping but refrained. He decided not to stir up things further at this moment, and bear on. He asked the alien he had been observing, “Who are you?”
He had seen this alien before with Charles Mason and Gregory Worthington. The alien bore a blue collar and his head resembled that of a praying mantis, albeit less angular. His dark eyes glowed with an inexplicable radiance making him look uniquely eerie. He was adorned in a very thin layer of green clothing.
He wore an advanced metallic armoured pair of trousers from his waist down, which most likely was the source of his physically impossible jumping ability. Each of his hands had only four fingers, which were disproportionately longer than a human’s, at least twice the length. Additionally, his light blue fingernails were extraordinarily sharp.
Some mysterious equipment was strapped to his back. If not for his gleaming eyes, which denoted high intelligence, one could mistake him for an animal.
“Me? Heh, to you, I am an entity beyond your imagination. You possess a lot of fantastic gear. This protective suit you wear is obviously not from your Earth. It seems this planet hides many secrets. Regardless, escaping my pursuit is a futile dream. Today, you shall die.” The alien sneered in a raspy voice.
As he spoke, he fondled the area from his waist down with both hands and pulled out two oddly shaped daggers, then lunged straight at Finn.
‘Screw you!’ Finn bellowed, kicking out fiercely as the alien charged at him. Finn’s kick was fast and furious and in such close quarters, it only got quicker as the creature lunged forward.
With a loud ‘thud’, a searing pain shot up Finn’s right leg. He felt as if he’d just kicked a metal pole. Thankfully, he was wearing a protective suit; otherwise, his leg would have been shattered. Despite the pain, he managed to muster all his strength to send the creature flying backward.
After launching the creature away, without a second thought, Finn got up and bolted in the other direction. ‘Damn it! If now wasn’t the time to flee, then when?’ He wasn’t sure how much time had passed, probably a few dozen seconds at least. He only wished that the t1000 would show up soon.
Something that was bugging him was the inexplicable disappearance of Zero. Finn refused to believe that Zero had vanished because he couldn’t defeat the alien; there had to be another reason.
Running in frenzy, Finn continued to mull his predicaments. The unanticipated appearance of the alien was rather puzzling; he wondered why he was being targeted. It was possibly linked to Zero. Judging by the tech level of the alien’s attire, detecting Zero wouldn’t have been a difficult task. Could he be after Zero?
However, his initial statement suggested otherwise. In the midst of his chaotic thoughts, he heard a loud noise behind him. The alien was probably gaining on him. As he continued fleeing, he looked back and saw the alien swinging a blade at his neck.
Finn dodged to the side just in the nick of time and the blade missed him, just as the alien landed on the ground and quickly changed direction, ready to pounce again.
However, just as it was about to pounce, a beam of light shot past causing the alien’s body to contort oddly in mid-air. Irrespective of his manoeuvre, two ultra-high-speed bullets came out of nowhere hitting him square in his shoulder.
A burst of white light exploded from his body as the bullets made contact with a white shield, creating two sparks before falling to the ground. Following that, two t1000s charged out of the woods behind Finn. Upon seeing the two t1000s, Finn finally heaved a sigh of relief. If two t1000s had arrived, more will surely follow soon.
He takes on not one but multiple t1000s, and Finn didn’t believe the creature could destroy so many of his t1000s at once.
Finn picked himself up from the ground, took a deep breath and ordered them commandingly, “Capture him!”
Adhering to Finn’s command, the t1000s sprung into action without a moment’s hesitation. Against this unearthly being more agile than an earthly assassin, the t1000s managed to showcase their full combat capacity for the first time.
Finn didn’t stick around and started to fall back quickly. He knew the deadly speed of the alien and wasn’t confident that the t1000s could keep up. But he also knew that their adversary had the misfortune of running into him today. Or more accurately, it was his misfortune of having decided to mess with Finn!
With two sharp whistles, bullets pierced the air, and in a blink of an eye, they struck the alien’s shield. The shield, which resembled a white plate, was visibly dimmer than before. What mattered more was the enormous impact of the bullets, which foiled the alien’s attempt to escape the clutches of the two t1000s.
The t1000 on the left seized the opportunity and grabbed his arm. The other one, without any hesitation, lunged forward and caught him by the waist.
A harsh grinding sound echoed as the alien stabbed the blades held in his hands into the back of the t1000 holding him by the waist. But it had no effect on the t1000. Right at that moment, two more bullets whizzed through the air and hit the alien. These were not bullets fired from weapons of Earth.
