Super Spender - Chapter 766
Chapter 766: Chapter 760: Dismounting Power Middle
If only the collateral descendant, the family emblem, even though it would appear on them, would not be placed in such an easily noticeable location. It was usually placed at the neckline, or somewhere like the cuffs. Of course, this wasn’t always the case. This varies depending on the family’s rules. However, in the Rochefort Clan, this was definitely the procedure. Finn Lewis, being familiar with his enemy, of course knew this thoroughly.
Finn Lewis didn’t say anything, and the man named Suleiman Cooper didn’t speak either. The two of them gazed at each other, standing at a distance of about twenty meters. Even the onlookers could tell that there was no friendly camaraderie between them. It was obvious that there was a conflict between them, and it seemed like a significant one.
“I didn’t think you would dare to come here, looks like you have grown quite audacious?” Suleiman finally sneered, breaking the silence.
“From what you’re saying, it appears you don’t exactly know how courageous I am. But I heard that the Rochefort Clan suffered some considerable losses recently?” Finn replied coolly.
The surrounding crowd couldn’t help but gasp. Damn it, it seems that the hostility between them is intense. And Finn’s identity clearly isn’t simple. Everyone knew that to confront the other party, one had to have the status to do so. But when these two started talking, the tension was palpable. Could it be that Finn was from the Locke Family, one of the prestigious nine royal families known to be in opposition to the Rocheforts?
The two families were rivals everywhere, and even their private fleets had fought countless times. So, the first thing people thought of was the Locke Family. But they hadn’t heard of any direct heir from the Locke Family coming here to study lately. Wasn’t there already a Locke Family heir studying at the school?
“Considerable losses? You’re overthinking. You, who originally came from an indigenous planet, think you have the right to discuss our losses? You overestimate yourself. Who do you think you are? You’re nothing more than this.” Suleiman pointed disdainfully with his pinkie finger. The surrounding crowd hushed; damn it, the situation was reaching a boiling point.
Even though the Locke Family and Rochefort Clan were arch-enemies, they maintained superficial politeness in public places. But now, these two were provoking each other openly.
“From an indigenous planet? Ha, I’m indeed from an indigenous planet, so what?” Finn smirked.
Finn’s statement made the watching students instantly realize he was not a member of the Locke Family. Firstly, they didn’t see the Locke Family emblem on him, and secondly, how could a direct heir to the Lockes come from an indigenous planet? This was simply impossible. Was there some hidden story behind this? Speculations like these were known to attract lots of attention. Curiosity among the crowd immediately flared up.
“No matter. I just wanted to say that as someone from an indigenous planet, you should keep a low profile. Otherwise, one day you might end up losing your life without even realizing it. Now that you’ve admitted where you came from, stay away from me in the future, got it?” Suleiman sneered at Finn, speaking with undisguised contempt.
“So, you consider yourself quite distinguished?” Finn asked, utterly unconcerned.
“My nobility is beyond comparison with someone like you, an illegitimate child from who knows where. You’re not even worthy of comparing yourself to me!” Suleiman replied coldly.
“Oh, really? Well, Mr. Distinguished, I’d like to ask, have you ever seen the car behind me? Do you have one? This vehicle, which even I, someone from an indigenous planet owns, should be something you also possess, right? Why not show it off? Don’t tell me that someone as distinguished as you doesn’t even own a spacecraft like I do.” Finn involved his vehicle in the banter.
The onlookers’ eyes widened, and a sudden silence fell over the crowd. Suleiman’s smirk froze and his face turned purple. Eventually, somebody chuckled, trying to stifle their laughter. This set everyone off, and a chorus of chuckles rang out. But nobody dared to comment. They all knew the severity behind Finn’s taunt. Did Suleiman have a vehicle like this? Obviously not!
Everyone knew Suleiman’s vehicle, although it was a limited edition, it was an old model that his older brother used to drive. He maintained quite a number of people, and with such a luxury, it’s unlikely he would have the funds to buy it. But these words, though known to most, were considered unspeakable. Yet Finn had laid bare the truth in front of everybody. There was certainly no saving face for Suleiman now!
“Hahaha…Goddamn it, I’m laughing my ass off, this is too funny! I feel so good today!” A sudden burst of laughter emerged from the crowd. Everyone knew instantly that the person who dared to laugh so brazenly at this point was definitely from the Locke Family; there could be no one else.
As expected, a youth with a handsome appearance emerged from the crowd following that laughter. He was about the same height as Finn, possessing a kind of simplicity. Even though his clothes were high-grade, unlike Suleiman, he didn’t have a large entourage. Contrary to Suleiman’s long hair, this youth was sporting a short, fire-red hairstyle.
