Super Spender - Chapter 768
Chapter 768: Chapter 762: This is Also Considered a Circle
Just like the resources that some ordinary small aristocratic families’ heads could use were not even comparable to what he, a direct heir, could muster. At least in terms of status, they were not on the same level. But Finn Lewis was also of the royal family, and they were aware of his status, which was not a secret in the Galactic Federation. Although many things were kept secret, equally as many things were not concealed at all.
Not long ago, the sole surviving direct heir of the only nine-star royal family, who had disappeared from the Galactic Federation for nearly 20,000 years, reappeared and inherited his family’s wealth. Although everyone knew that the Rochefort Clan had been eyeing the wealth of the other family, they ended up gaining nothing and even gave away their identity to the heir, who ran to the Federation to inherit his property officially.
Afterwards, one of the pirate groups cultivated by the Rochefort Clan ended up being utterly destroyed due to a bounty that resounded across the Galactic Federation. As to where the bounty originated from, Shaoning Locke was not sure. But that did not stop people from making guesses because the pirate group’s target was the head of the Lewis Family, Finn Lewis. This was no secret afterwards.
The Bureau of Inspection had announced an investigation, although the results probably wouldn’t make much of a difference. And the Rochefort Clan wouldn’t let the Bureau find any evidence, but that didn’t stop everyone from speculating. Finn Lewis had indeed demonstrated his wealth on the Death Star, and that was not a secret either. As for where Finn Lewis got the money, no one knew.
However, he was the only nine-star royal in the entire Galactic Federation. It was said that at the height of their family’s power, they controlled more than half of the territory of the Galactic Federation. No matter how you looked at it, the skinny camel was still bigger than a horse! So Shaoning Locke made a decisive choice. Although the other party seemed weak now, they needed every ounce of power, didn’t they?
“Haha, it seems you two have already met, huh?” After Finn Lewis and Shaoning Locke had both introduced themselves to each other, more voices could be heard. Finn turned his gaze, and saw several people walk out of the crowd. These people also clearly had a certain aura about them that separated them from ordinary folk. Like attracts like, and these people all being together, and casual enough to interrupt the conversation indicated to Finn that they were probably all from the nine royal families.
Finn hadn’t expected that he was just intending to register at school, and yet he’d arrived with such a big fanfare.
“Let me introduce you, this is Feng Windsor, the direct heir of the Windsor Family. Grayson Baker, the direct heir of the Baker Family. Iris Green, Aurora Green, and Daniel Green, the direct heirs of the Green Family. This is Barron White, the direct heir of the White Family.” Shaoning Locke introduced the arriving guys to Finn, and after his introductions, Finn shook hands with each, a courtesy that seemed to apply even in the Galactic Federation.
What surprised Finn, however, was that contrary to his expectations that these families would be patriarchal, it seemed that this wasn’t the case. At least in the Green Family, Iris Green and Aurora Green were both beautiful girls, with only Daniel being male. The other families, however, were all male. However, what slightly surprised Finn was that the surnames of the nine royal families were a mix of those that leaned towards Western and those that were more Eastern.
And now, from Shaoning Locke’s introduction, Finn could tell that those families with Eastern or Oriental surnames seem to have better relations, else they wouldn’t all be here. If other family members had not appeared simply by chance, Finn would not have believed that these people would know about his arrival, yet others like the Kalista Family, Mongolian Road Family, and the Takemon Family would not. Were there really that many coincidences?
Their absence could only mean one thing, that those families had better relations with the Rochefort Clan and were thus part of a separate alliance. As Finn was coming to that conclusion, Shaoning Locke took the opportunity to discuss the topic, stating directly with a smile: “It seems we could become allies. As you may have noticed, our families have better relationships. On the other hand, the Kalista, Mongolian Road, Takemon, and Rochefort Clans are closer to each other. Both sides are kind of two different alliances. Of course, besides my Locke Family and the Rochefort Clan, which don’t get along, not all of the other relationships are that acrimonious.”
“I see, thank you for the introduction.” Finn nodded his head.
“I say, mate, you’re not playing fair. Do you have any idea I ran all the way over to Silver Wing today to buy a flying car, only to find out all the Mad Scorpions and Thunder Rangers had been booked in advance? Do you know how long I’ve been saving to buy a Ranger?” Feng Windsor said.
Finn was taken aback, he hadn’t thought about that aspect, but considering the Windsor surname, it seemed to have a special meaning in the ancient mythology of Flame Nation. But now when Finn thought about it, many of the myths from Earth were probably connected to the families of the Galactic Federation in unspeakable ways.
Even though Finn didn’t want to delve into the reason, he didn’t voice his curiosity but buried it in his heart.
Feng Windsor had quite a broad personality which lightened the slightly awkward atmosphere following everyone’s introductions. The two girls covered their mouths and laughed. Finn looked over, thought for a moment and said, “I’m sorry about that. I had no idea. But since that’s the case, here’s what we’ll do. Luna Starfield, bring over all the remaining Thunder Rangers.”
