Terrarium Adventure - Chapter 14
“Be careful not to drop it. If the fruit gets hurt, the Driard inside gets hurt as well,” Elder said in a dull tone. Mesquite quietly criticized Elder.
“Don’t make Jay nervous. Don’t worry, Jay. You won’t make such a mistake. Just walk while looking forward.”
Mesquite picked up the dropped lance and shield. Then, she took a step with her big feet.
The ground shook in front of her and pushed cruel things which were stabbed by Elder’s flowers in front of her. The sand piles which came from the shaken ground were their graves.
Since I recognized what I was seeing right now, I felt disgusted.
“My naïve master, Jay. You need to get used to it.”
Mesquite came back again. Then, she lowered her back to meet my eye level. She gave off a strong fragrance while covering the gruesome scene with her face.
“From now on, wherever you go you will see even crueler things. We Driards can become cruel for you. I will beat my brothers and sisters born from the same tree with my lance if they bother you in any way. Also, you need to think of it as part of life.”
“Nothing can harm you.”
“That’s right, Master Jay. You are our life, our reason for existing like a small tree.”
Elder and Mesquite stood on either side of me. The two of them used their big bodies to make sure I couldn’t see the cruel grave. I walked looking only towards the front like Mesquite told me.
I had Daisy’s hope which gave off a warm light above my two hands.
Steps toward the orchard showed my anxiousness. As I was speeding up fast, Mesquite calmed me down. I couldn’t control myself wanting to see Daisy again.
Mesquite knew very well how to get there and all I had to do was follow the long shadow.
Elder pointed to many areas inside the store with a staff and asked me to visit them after everything was over. With whose diamond? My diamond.
You are my Driard but my wealth isn’t yours. Elder smiled at me with a pretty face.
“Are you going to get me those?”
However, I have tons of diamonds, so I should be able to buy them. Absolutely. Of course, when I visit, I should come while holding Daisy’s hand. I don’t know why Elder needs a singing golden bird statue.
However, what if I was spoiling Elder too much and he was becoming a brat? I looked at him for a while, and Elder looked down at me with a curious face.
The hood he was wearing was blown off by the wind and his shaking pretty white hair appeared. I felt like it was shining. Although he had become spoiled, it was fine since he had a good appearance. Elder’s face was handsome and pretty so it was fine. I’m just a snob. It’s all my fault.
The orchard where people gathered around became very quiet. That was because people left off after picking their fruit. The line to get free fruit became empty.
However, there was a desk clerk who was cleaning up the trash that people left while looking very busy.
The desk clerk who recognized me came to me at once. Then, he gently greeted me. I felt like someone special so I felt confident.
Look at this, my Driards! This is the true me!
However, Mesquite asked me politely, “Jay, does your shoulder hurt? Do you need assistance?” This made me embarrassed.
“I’m here to use the port, Driard port.”
“You have a… fruit already. I will guide you now.”
I saw a disappointed face swiftly passing by the desk clerk. It was the sadness of the pressured service industry due to performance even in games or in real life. Still, I spent a lot of diamonds.
The botanic which I visited again was still full of warm light and fresh air. Elder and Mesquite seemed very peaceful.
Botanic emulates the tree. If emulating could be fantastic, how good was the real tree?
My Driards said I was a small tree but I honestly don’t know. When I think about it, I’m ordinary compared to those who possessed lots of diamonds.
I mean have tons of diamonds… What was bigger than the mountain? Anyway, I’m ordinary, not wealthy.
“Master Jay. This way please.”
Mesquite called me while staying next to a Driard pot. I stopped daydreaming and quickly headed to a pot. Above the shiny sand, I gently placed Daisy’s fruit in there. My every behavior was followed by friendly Mesquite’s eye contact.
“Ah!”
I swiftly called the desk clerk over.
“Never! Never talk about grade rank in front of Daisy. Don’t say anything!”
I won’t stand talking about normal rank and fertilizer to bring up Daisy’s bad memory. As I spoke, the desk clerk said he would be careful and nodded his head.
Now it was time. It was time to meet my small flower again. The fruit that met the soil shook like a chick removing the moist.
I thought I was looking at a mirage. How is Daisy’s fruit so cute and lovely? The greenstone plate began reading Daisy’s genetic information. Small font filled up the stone plate.
Red Daisy
Title: Lovely spring fairy
Flower name: Hope, Peace
Habitat: Normal Field
Possibility of seeing on a field: High
Value: View
Characteristic: Attack
Final Grade Rank: Normal
Adjusted to adapt to any environment
Receives battle bonus in April
Surrounded by layers of small and red flower leaves. Daisy meets spring first and is loved by everyone for a long time.
To me, having the lowest normal rank is not a problem. If the stone plate reads the name Daisy, that’s fine with me.
The title is lovely spring fairy. Even the title is lovely. Attack-type Driard. It doesn’t match with Daisy, but I needed such characteristics anyway so it was good.
The moment I tried to touch the fruit while wearing the terrarium artifact, the desk clerk broke the atmosphere and tried to stop me. He was worried about my soul limit.
“No way.”
Ah, my cost… I felt like having anemia after blooming Elder and Mesquite. Huh, I hadn’t thought about this… Things shouldn’t be like this.
Perhaps, is there a rare candy like other games? An item that could let me level up by consuming it. All I have are diamonds and can’t I buy levels with diamonds? Sob.
“My master, Jay. You don’t need to worry. Your soul has grown ever since we met for the first time. Did you feel dizzy until we arrived here? My eyes are always looking at you. You are fine. Your soul is ready to welcome the new flower.”
Mesquite spoke while smiling and he gently leaned against the pot. It seemed like Mesquite was a generous God blessing me. I felt less insecure.
Elder clicked his tongue, tsking. Hey, you knew about this? Why did you pretend you didn’t know? Such personality… Are you upset again because we are getting a new Driard? With such a big body perhaps?
“Jay, you don’t need to worry about Elder’s whining. He just hates sharing attention with others. He is still immature. He should be welcoming the Driards who are joining to protect you.”
“Do you think I’m a child?”
“To me, you are a young child.”
As Mesquite raised Elder, she probably thought he was a child. I will worry about Elder later and moved my hand toward the fruit.
Somehow, a small and circular leaf was approaching my hand. As my hand was touched, a beating heartbeat came into my ears. A warm feeling connected my heart to the fruit.
A bright light came out of the fruit. A lovely water molecule shaped flower leaf floated around the sky which looked like Daisy.
The light increased in size. As the light increased its size by absorbing the flower leaves, it stopped growing shortly unlike the other Driards.
The light turned dim and a small child appeared. There was a pretty red flower in the soft red hair.
Brown-colored leather defense tools fit the body. Below a tight leather jacket, the bottom of the top was like a camping skirt. When Daisy went down to the floor, the cotton puffed up like a flower and went down.
When she opened her eyes, I met the brown eyes at once which seemed eternal. Daisy’s eyes had more vitality than ever.
The better condition made me laugh.
“Mr. Druid!”
Actually, when Daisy was revived, I was worried if she didn’t remember me. Daisy removed such concern and smiled brightly at me. She was still hesitant so I opened my arms widely.
What are you doing? Come and hug me! Daisy jumped and hugged me.
The subtle refreshing fragrance that stimulated the nose came out like Daisy’s vitality. My lucky Driard. Now the Driard has her own scent. The flower that rebloomed was fresh like dew.
“Oh, she revived as a young tree,” Mesquite commented with a surprising face.
“Perhaps it has been due to staying apart from a tree for a long time.”
As I touched the pretty red flower on her head, Daisy laughed. Mesquite came near us.
“I thought it was the biggest size when she bloomed from the fruit.”
“Right, Mr. Druid. I was bigger like this.”
Daisy spoke while stretching her hand much as she could. Whatever. Even if she is small, she is Daisy. I’m really curious about a full-grown Daisy but I’m happy with Daisy now.
“My master, Jay. You don’t need to worry. Now you are Daisy’s tree. Daisy will grow under you. It will grow fast as it is an adjusted species. It will go back to its shape.”
“What do I need to do to help Daisy to grow?”
“Provide a lot of nurture.”
Speaking of nurture, the four failures I picked, I mean, nourishment fruits, are sleeping inside my pocket.
