Chapter 3 – Who Did I Sleep With?
***
The reason that Lewellyn’s mother, Queen Seon, was executed was because she tried to place a killing curse on her half-brother Bastian. Pamela, who was the king’s lover, brought this all to light.
Lewellyn grew up watching her mother be offended by her father’s mistress, Pamela. Because of this, she didn’t think it was strange for her mother to behave this way.
The noble daughter of Thessaly was laughed at by her in-laws and the illegitimate son of the Duke of Brion. Lewellyn clearly saw her elegant mother’s expression sometimes crumble…
After her mother’s death, Lewellyn’s world changed.
People said, ‘Who would ignore a noble princess of the royal family?’ As the queen was executed in the most dishonorable way possible and was deliberately scorned by her father, the king. Lewellyn went into isolation in her palace.
Her desire to ignore the arrogant and noble royal family was then permitted by the king. There were people who couldn’t resist the easy temptation of her lowered position. Even her ‘maids’, who should have come from nobility, all quit their jobs. The new commoner maids that were brought in to care for her lacked the ability to properly carry out their duties. They did not care to serve Lewellyn either, but took the job to keep an eye on her for Pamela.
Upon the death of her father, her half-brother Bastian succeeded to the throne by unanimous consent of the nobility. Meanwhile, there was nothing the abandoned princess could do. Lewellyn wanted to get away from this royal family and live like a commoner, but Pamela would not let her go.
Lewellyn decided that on the day she turned twenty-five she would join a monastery. According to the rules of the church, those over the age of 25 could entrust themselves to the monastery without the permission of the royal family. It was the most effective means of protecting herself from the royal family after she’d abandoned her right to the throne. The church would protect her after that.
She will hopefully be able to spend the rest of her life living in the church of Thessaly, located in her mother’s native country.
In Thessaly, there will be her mother’s family. Her exiled younger brother, Alpias, was entrusted to that country.
That was Lewellyn’s only hope…
Perhaps, if she was very lucky, she might even meet her lovely little brother again.
In fact, she could have gone to the monastery earlier if she had the permission of the royal family, but Bastian was vehemently opposed.
‘Lewellyn, you were a princess before I came to the palace. Even though my half- brother is powerless like you, I don’t want to drive you out. I don’t want to bring you misfortune. The monastery is not a good environment, and it’s not as good as you think. You know I won’t threaten your life, nor will I force you to marry out of respect for your wishes.’
‘….’
‘When you turn twenty-five, do whatever you want after that. Before that, please calmly think about your future here.’
Bastian was normally indecisive, but it was different this time. His blue eyes were calm and his tone was firm. She was thinking that he didn’t want rumors to spread that he’d kicked out his sister. Lewellyn knew she was being cynical. In reality, she actually knew Bastian was being sincere.
From an early age she was well acquainted with the docile nature of her half-brother and her brother. That indecisive older brother didn’t want to harm his blood relatives.
Why is Alpias still alive? Although her brother may become a threat in the future, it must be because of Bastian that he still lives.
Thanks to Bastian’s gentle nature, Lewellyn’s life was not at risk even in the palace. Though she was scorned and wasn’t treated as a proper princess, she was never forced to marry…
So this was why Lewellyn decided to stay in the palace until she was twenty-five, as her half-brother wished. She was able to do that at least.
But now that plan has gone awry.
Lewellyn opened her eyes and was enveloped in a foul mood. Her body was wiped clean, but there was a dull pain between her legs in that area.
Her hair, which had been damped by lust, was now surprisingly clean. The sensation of her body burning up was gone. Lewellyn bit her lip and lifted her skirt. As expected, she wasn’t wearing anything under her skirt. She remembered the voice of the man who’d whispered with a passionate breath.
‘Princess.’
Lewellyn shook her head.
“Under…”
It was then that she realized what had happened. She’d finally slept with a man.
She didn’t value chastity above all else, but if the monastery found out… Naturally, the church was conservative and rejected promiscuity. Making her future even more difficult…
‘Who was I with?’
She couldn’t even remember who her lover was. She had no intention of blaming the man for defiling her body. She completely lost her sanity and she was the one who seduced him with her sweet body. She couldn’t remember everything, but she knew that the other person was bewildered. There was only one reason why she knew this, it was because she vaguely remembered being entangled in the hardened man’s arm. The man at that time trembled and hesitated to place his hand on her.
Lewellyn pressed her hand to her forehead while recalling that night.
“Not bad… It wasn’t.”
She recalled thinking that, apart from being terrifying at first, the act of joining their flesh wasn’t as bad as she thought it would be.
At first, she felt repulsion because the act of ‘laying with a man’ was taboo, but she did not feel any objection to the act itself. On the contrary, she vaguely remembered that she honestly asked him to touch her more because she liked the feeling of his hands touching her so politely…
They enjoyed the warmth that felt so much like being loved. She enjoyed a lot of emotions at that time.
One good point, the damn curse of Asmodeus over now, right? Because of pride, fear, and rejection, she had to go through hardships and regret now.
The question is, did the man spread any rumors?
‘It’s a secret.’
Her head throbbed at her fractured memories. When the act was over and the man adjusted her appearance, she had spoken as if she were possessed. The thing she was most worried about was the rumors. How did the man respond then?
‘If you wish, I will hide it forever.’
The man whispered while kissing Lewellyn’s cheek with those words. She remembered smiling at the hot lips that touched her cheeks. After that, he continued to ask if she was uneasy or to keep it a secret, and the man reassured him that he would.
Lewellyn didn’t trust in men. Wouldn’t you just need to look at her dead father? The king, who took an oath before God and vowed to be faithful to his spouse, hated the queen. He had promised to make her happy, and eventually executed her. Her mother with her head falling, was not the pretty face she knew.
How shocked she was when she saw that terrible sight.
So she had to assume the worst. As soon as she pulled the cord with a trembling hand, her maid greeted her.
“What is going on, Princess?”
“When did I get back?”
“I remember it was at dawn.”
She looked at the maid’s face, but she showed no sign of ridicule. She didn’t even find her question strange.
“How did I get back? Who was I with? How was I?”
Lewellyn asked her maid, trying to hide her worry, and it seemed to work. It was Rosalie, a young maid who couldn’t hide her expression well, who took her questions.
“Lord Jayad brought you here.”
“What?”
“He said that the princess had fainted from pain, and he carried you back in his arms.”
Tristan Jayad? Why is that person? She opened her eyes wide. The maid explained as if she understood her surprise.
“And he said he found you lying in the garden…”
“….”
“The Lord told me not to call a doctor, but to keep quiet. Is something wrong?”
Her heart was pounding. Tristan brought her and told them not to call a doctor?
So, does that mean that the man she joined bodies with was Tristan?
But Lewellyn knew Tristan well. He was known for being an honest and noble knight, and they were not in a relationship where he would join with her…
But with these circumstances, Tristan is a man.
Lewellyn bit her lip. She needed to confirm…

“The princess is very rude. I can’t believe she called for the commander during working hours.”
“Paulo.”
“Can you do something about being asked to visit her suddenly?”
The knights complained seeing Tristan polishing his sword. His dark red eyes were staring only at his sword, this was the other side of himself.
A man who feels as solid and strong as the sword in his hand, who seemed to feel as much as cold steel. Tristan; the first knight of the country of Brygent; the commander of the Red Knights Templar; and under the direct control of the king.
“You are being rude to the princess, refrain from speaking.”
“The commander is quick to forget. Don’t you remember that the princess insulted you when you joined the knights’ templars?”
Tristan raised his head and looked at the knights. In their eyes, only distaste remained, and not loyalty, for their superiors.
“Didn’t she reject the commander as her bodyguard just because he is a Zakat and kicked him out?”
“Our knights are familiar with the rudeness of the eccentric princess.”
“It will be the same for the White Knights and the Black Knights.”
The other knights did not say anything, but they seemed to agree. Tristan looked at them without a word. Just by looking at them, they could all feel the chill from his gaze.
“So you mean that you have neglected the princess’ escort?”
“…What do you mean?”
“No, nothing.”
Tristan got up and walked away while wearing the red cloak, the symbol of his Knight’s order. It was with a straight face, with no emotions showing.
The knights sighed. Tristan Jayad was not of noble origin, but he was an example for all knights. He was too blunt sometimes and needed to know the world.
“There is no need to listen to a princess who’s lost her mind.”
As if he was going to meet the woman he loved, he was extremely devoted to maintaining his appearance, but that was why Tristan Jayad was respected. An example of chivalry that is faithful in every action and takes all orders seriously. The greatest knight in the country, whose origin is his greatest weakness, was respected by the knights even today.
