Lucian said in a cold voice.
“I have no intention of doing that. Though, I do have an urge to kill you.”
“Wow, thank you so much for telling me that.”
Lucian’s eyes were frightening, but at least, it doesn’t look like he’ll rush at him like before.
‘That’s because Pernia isn’t here.’
Lucian seemed to be pretty sane as long as she wasn’t here.
Kuhn was a little relieved and his body relaxed.
“So. Why did you come to me at this late hour?”
At Kuhn’s words, Lucian looked down at him for a moment and thought in his head.
Lucian went to war with Kuhn. So he knew how competent Kuhn was.
Kuhn had great skills in treating patients, but he also had excellent ability in making medicine. He often made incredible medicine that made Lucian wonder if he was a wizard.
This particular medicine was one of them.
The ensuing battle made some of the soldiers go insane. They were extremely agitated, unable to sleep, and exhibited brutal violence.
“The soldiers who took the medicine you made on the battlefield regained stability instantly.”
“Yeah.”
“So you can make medicine to suppress my emotions, right?”
“…..!”
Kuhn’s eyes grew bigger with his unexpected words.
‘That’s why she made me come here.’
In fact, Kuhn was puzzled when he was contacted by Pernia to come here.
It wasn’t surprising that she chose him among countless people.
Because he easily figured out why she chose him.
What Kuhn wondered about was what made Lucian allow it.
To Lucian, he is one of the most annoying people in the world.
The suspicion has now been cleared.
Kuhn raised the corners of his mouth.
Now that Lucian revealed he wanted something from Kuhn, Kuhn didn’t have to be scared by him anymore.
Kuhn shrugged and said.
“I did not expect you to say that. You look very happy right now.”
Kuhn was surprised to see Lucian when he came here.
He looked significantly different from the Lucian he saw before.
His gentle face disappeared. His red eyes were glowing eerily.
Nevertheless, he looked much happier than before.
This is because he owned Pernia completely.
So Kuhn thought Pernia was doing something wrong.
Lucian must be more satisfied with his current situation than anyone else. So then, why did he put in so much effort so that Pernia could get along with other people?
At first, he thought Lucian was pretending to please Pernia.
He thought wrong.
‘Kardien actually does want to listen to her. To the point where he asks for this kind of help from me.’
That made everything more interesting to Kuhn.
This was an unexpected development.
Kuhn looked at Lucian with a twinkling gaze. Lucian was looking at himself with unexpectedly desperate eyes.
Kuhn said, enjoying the sight in front of him.
“The medicine I fed the soldiers during the war was a kind of sedative. It makes your whole body drowsy and calms down your abnormally agitated state.”
“Do you think it’ll work with me?”
“Probably?”
Kuhn continued to talk with folded arms.
“Maybe it’ll work with the power of the devil, but in the end, you won’t be able to control your emotions either. I do think there is a high chance it’ll work. Of course, I have to make it much stronger than the ones given to the soldiers.”
Lucian’s eyes relaxed a little, hearing the answer he wanted to hear.
However, Kuhn was not finished.
“But if the medicine is that strong, no matter what you do, you may have side effects. You may hallucinate, or your body may reject it and damage your intestines. Would that be okay with you?”
He thought what he said was quite scary, but Lucian readily nodded his head.
“It doesn’t matter.”
Kuhn looked at Lucian.
Lucian’s eyes showed no fear of the side effects of the medicine.
‘Well, he’s not the kind of person who would be afraid of that in the first place.’
Even before the devil’s power had blossomed, Lucian fearlessly rushed toward thousands of enemies.
Even after considering that, it was astonishing how willing he was.
Kuhn said as he looked at Lucian.
“Why are you doing this? If you don’t do anything, you would be able to monopolize Pernia as you wish.”
Lucian lowered his eyes.
Kuhn is right.
There is no need for this. Because Pernia didn’t force him to do anything.
If Lucian says he really doesn’t think it’s going to work, she’ll pat him on the back, saying it’s okay.
She’ll be next to him.
Without seeing anyone or talking to anyone.
Completely owned by him.
But…
[You did great.]
[Lucian is the best.]
[I love you.]
Whenever Pernia smiled like that, a strange feeling filled his heart.
I want to make her prouder.
I want to make her happy.
….I want to make her love me more.
Lucian didn’t say those words out loud. But Kuhn knew his answer just by looking at Lucian’s face.
‘Your condition hasn’t improved. It’s worse.’
Lucian’s consistent possessive desire gave him goosebumps all over his body.
‘Well, this is a good opportunity for me.’
Kuhn said with a red face, clearing his throat.
“Okay. I’ll make the medicine. But you’re not asking me to do it for free, are you? We’re not that close to each other.”
“Of course.”
Lucian didn’t care if Kuhn overcharged him. Money didn’t mean much to him anyway.
However, Kuhn’s price was unexpected.
“Then $— —.”
Upon hearing Kuhn’s words, Lucian gave off a look that could kill.
However, Kuhn was relaxed.
‘It’ll only be a shame for him if he can’t afford it.’
Lucian nervously swept his hair. After a while, Lucian said.
“Okay, I accept your offer.”
Kuhn smiled.
“Okay. Then, a deal is made.”
Kuhn reached out to Lucian, but Lucian completely ignored his hand.
Instead, he left a threat.
“Make sure you make the medicine properly. Otherwise, there’s no reason for me to keep you alive.”
Kuhn grabbed the necklace and his shoulders shrank instinctively.
Once a crazy man, stays a crazy man.
‘Can’t say he’s the same crazy man.’’
* * *
I’ve been stuck in the room for days since the day Lucian rushed into Kuhn.
I mumbled while lying in bed reading a book.
“I think we can try again today.”
I soon shook my head.
The image of Lucian that day stays vivid in my mind. His jealousy was stronger than I thought, and he really couldn’t control himself.
‘What if something really bad happens if we overdo it?’
Kuhn could be killed.
Then, I’ve crossed the irreversible road.
An innocent life would be lost, and, at the same time, Lucian will also be branded as a terrible sinner.
I bit my lips and muttered.
“Let’s give up on going back to the capital for the time being.”
I decided not to be greedy and move on slowly. It’s fine.
I made up my mind as if I were comforting myself.
Then the door opened with a knock.
As usual, it was Lucian who entered the room. And…
“Kuhn?”
My round eyes widened.
Because it was the first time Lucian entered my room with someone else.
Kuhn giggled at me and said.
“Kardien came to me first. He asked to go see you together.”
“Really?”
I covered my mouth and looked at Lucian. Lucian nodded with a light smile.
‘Unbelievable…’
I turned my head toward Kuhn with a pounding chest. I approached Kuhn and shook hands.
“Good morning, Kuhn.”
“It’s already midday. What morning?”
I ignored Kuhn’s response and looked at Lucian’s eyes.
Lucian’s face, looking their way with crossed arms, was calm.
‘Wow.’
I exclaimed in admiration and decided to push him a little more.
I took one step closer towards Kuhn and made eye contact with him.
“But your eye makeup is smudged. I worked hard to teach you, but I’m disappointed that you still make mistakes like this.”
“Huh? Really?”
“Yes. The left side is a little smudged.”
“Oh my. Is it because I changed my products?”
“I don’t know if that’s the case.”
With that said, I glanced at Lucian once again.
Lucian’s expression was slightly stiffer than before, but he was still calm.
‘Oh my gosh! Is this possible?’
It was the moment when I carefully reached out to Kuhn.
“Let’s see.”
Lucian approached me at a tremendous speed. Then he grabbed my wrist and said in a cold voice.
“That’s it. No more, Nia.”
“…..”
Lucian’s face looked very serious. His red eyes were also frightening.
Nevertheless, it didn’t seem like he was going to lose control because he couldn’t control his emotions like then.
It seems like he at least had some control over his emotions.
I looked at Lucian with an excited face.
“What happened?”
“I just… tried something else.”
“Could it be that the two of you did special training without me knowing?”
“…Kind of.”
“I see.”
How can you think of such a cute and commendable thing?
I hugged Lucian and shouted.
“Incredible! As expected, my Lucian is the best! Pretty! And cool!”
