Chapter 22: The First Day of School

It was a beautiful sight, the soft light of the morning sun shining down on the world!
Uncle Steve was standing at the door holding my hand. It was my first day at my new school.
I closed my eyes to feel the warmth of the sun, took a deep breath of the fresh morning air, and quietly enjoyed the beauty of nature.
After a while, Aunt Kelly came out with Randall. Kelly greeted me warmly when she saw me. “Good morning, my dear Sheila.”
“Good morning, Aunt Kelly,” I replied politely.
Due to the time constraints, after a simple greeting, we took the bus to school together.
Steve initially thought that the school was not particularly close to home. However, for some reason, Steve felt that the journey to school was a little too short today. He did not have enough time to properly explain to Sheila the things she needed to pay attention to when she went to school.
After getting out of the car, Steve carefully helped me with the bow on my head while he took out his carefully selected small schoolbag and put it on my back.
I saw that Steve seemed a little sad that I was going to school, but I thought to myself, it’s not like I’m going to live here. I’ll be home in the afternoon anyway, so I didn’t quite understand why Steve was in such a bad mood.
I made a mischievous face at Steve and patted his broad shoulders with my soft little hand like an adult. I comforted him, “Uncle, don’t worry. I won’t be bullied.”
When Steve heard my words and saw that I was acting so maturely, he couldn’t help but smile. He reached out and scratched my small and delicate nose. “You really are a little brat.”
“Mr. Steve, it’s almost time. Let Randall bring Sheila in. Don’t worry, Randall will take care of Sheila,” Mrs. Kelly said.
Steve looked at Randall who was standing at the side. I also turned my head to look at him. Hmm, he seems a little different.
The little bully was dressed really formally today. He clearly had a lively personality, yet he was exceptionally quiet today. Looking at him now, he was not as mischievous as before. He was especially like a little gentleman.
Under the guidance of his mother, Randall extended his hand towards me.
Although Steve was a little unwilling, he still placed my soft and fair little hand into Randall’s hand.
Steve stood up and looked at the small figures of the two children walking away hand in hand. He actually felt a trace of uncontrollable frustration in his heart.
Steve was the richest person in the city. He had worked in the business field for many years and had long developed the ability to control his emotions. His expression was always cold.
But for some reason, ever since he met little Sheila, Steve felt as if he couldn’t control his emotions anymore. Now, Steve was even more surprised to find that he actually had some symptoms of separation anxiety.
Randall held my hand and walked me all the way to Class A. I thought to myself that today’s Randall was really different from the first time I met him. Not only was he acting so gentlemanly, but he also didn’t make a ruckus to fight with me again.
Just as I was thinking about this, I heard Randall say stiffly, “You’re here. Go in.”
Eh, as expected, the first thing that came out of the little straight steel man’s mouth. I pursed my lips. What else would the little bully who wanted to fight with me again say?
As a mature soul, of course, I wouldn’t really bother with a stubborn and overbearing little boy. I let go of Randall’s hand and revealed a cute smile. I waved to him and said, “Randall, goodbye.”
Just as I was about to turn around and enter the classroom, I saw a little girl in a double ponytail and a white princess dress running out of the classroom.
I was surprised.. Were the children in this school all so enthusiastic?
