The Count’s Secret Maid - Chapter 1
Prologue
***
It was a gloomy place, even with the creaking noise. With every step she took, the sound of footsteps resounded. So, she was more careful.
With her back slightly bent, she stepped forward, neither quick nor slow. Then, when she reached the familiar door, she stopped.
She caught her breath before opening the door.
Whoo, whoo, whoo
After a short deep breath, she grabbed the doorknob and turned it.
A shadow fell from the room darker than the hallway. She was hesitant even to enter the room where it was all dark, and there was nothing to see.
But she got used to going inside and pulling the long curtain open. A ray of light so strong that she closed her eyes.
Dazzling.
Still, she pulled the curtains and turned around.
At that moment, something quickly flew to the side of her face.
Thud!
It was the table clock that hit the window sill and bounced off the floor. She glanced at it and looked forward.
The bed, farthest from the window, was in the corner where the shadows fell. Above it was a round shape, something covered with a sheet. The only hand that stuck out was tightly holding the sheet’s edge. There was a strong sign of trembling in fear.
“Get out.”
A muffled, broken word came out.
There was a deep anger in it.
She didn’t even pretend to listen and picked up the table clock that had fallen on the floor. The nail was sticking out, and the appearance of the wooden surface torn off was ruined at first sight. She decided not to use it and put on the new sheet she was holding. She glanced around the messy room.
The tableware was shattered and broken, and even the fragments were spread dangerously on the floor. There was also a fork and a spoon. It wasn’t just the tableware that was fragmented. None of the items in this room was proper.
She took one step at a time and picked up things that had fallen to the floor. Following the sound of her footsteps, the figure trembled.
“Get out.”
Once again, the voice rang.
She ignored those words again and went to the front of the bed. The figure, shaking, couldn’t resist, and he fell on the table next to him, and soon stepped back. Since there was nothing to throw, he chose to run away. But even if he was supposed to run away, in the end, it was just on the bed. It was pathetic to see him sitting close to the wall.
She looked up and down and held out her hand. She flung it off to see if he noticed it.
“Do not touch me.”
What a shame.
She quickly pulled the sheet again, pretending she didn’t hear it. Then, the figure, that had been covered with the sheet, stumbled and appeared.
Tousled golden hair, and the veins protruding from the neck and shoulder lines that had turned in embarrassment were visible. Her gaze went all the way down. You can tell without having to check how dry the body hidden under the clothes was.
When she looked up again, sweat was forming on his face when she saw it up close. When she reached out her hand, he struck her fiercely again.
“Do not touch!”
A thunderous shout followed.
“I told you to leave! Get out! Go away!”
After the harsh words came out, she finally sighed deeply.
The man’s pale face burned red with heat. The chapped lips let out a rough breath. Even so, in order not to be taken away from him, his fingertips held onto the sheet so much that it turned white.
“Go away. Please turn it off!”
“Calm down, my Lord.”
“Get out! Get out! Get out of here!”
Unsurprisingly, the man’s breathing began to become difficult. His flushed face turned pale again, and soon he grabbed his chest in agony.
She quickly grabbed him in her arms, pulled a respirator out of her pocket and put it in his mouth. Then she gently wiped his back and said.
“Breathe slowly.”
Hearing her words, he tried to catch his breath. As he repeatedly inhaled and exhaled air through the apparatus, his chest, which was moving wildly, gradually relaxed. After watching it for a moment, she removed his respirator from his mouth.
“Hah, hah.”
“You will be fine now.”
Suddenly, his face was wet with sweat. Wet golden hair streaked over the hem of her dress. She brushed his hair to show that he did a good job. The tightly closed eyelids opened helplessly. Emerald eyes with a slightly white tint turned towards her.
At that moment, her body was pushed back.
“Ahh!”
In the blink of an eye, she went down the bed!
The skirt was flipped over, and the underpants were exposed. As she struggled with her legs floating in the air, a face popped out of it.
His gaze, which had been staring blankly at the front, gradually descended downward. It probably wouldn’t be, but it felt like he was looking at her. Still too pale, an overly handsome face filled her vision.
His wet lips open quietly.
“Get out.”
Anger was drawn on her face.
‘Anyway, a**hole.’
