Chapter 5: Woke Up Late

The next day.
Song Si woke up in pain.
Shang Yao wanted her a few times last night, and she forgot how she fell asleep in the end.
She subconsciously touched her side and realized that she was alone on the bed.
Where was Shang Yao?
She propped herself up and sat up, looking for Shang Yao in the room.
Coincidentally, Shang Yao came in with a bowl of steaming white porridge. “You’re awake? Have some porridge. I got them to add ingredients that can replenish your energy. I was too rough on you last night, so I’ll nourish you today.”
Song Si pulled the blanket to cover her body. When she thought of their passionate night, her face turned red.
She really did not know how Shang Yao could say such shameless words so naturally.
Shang Yao closed the door and placed the porridge on the table in the middle of the room. He stared at Song Si.
Song Si was embarrassed by his stare and got up as she wanted to put on her clothes. She pouted and said, “Turn around. I want to put on my clothes.”
The wedding dress from yesterday had already been torn into pieces that were lying on the floor. She had to get her other clothes from the suitcase.
Shang Yao chuckled. This woman was so shy. He wanted to tease Song Si.
He walked to Song Si’s side and raised her chin. “Are you shy? You weren’t wearing any clothes when you said you wanted me last night.”
Song Si felt a ball of fire rush to her head. Her face was burning.
She was so shy that she got angry and pushed Shang Yao. “You hooligan!”
“Hahaha!”
Shang Yao was very satisfied with his wife’s reaction. He walked to the wardrobe and pulled it open. It was filled with the latest female clothes that were currently in season.
Song Si was a little stunned. “These are… for me?”
Shang Yao smiled again. “According to tradition, we’ll be going back to the Song family today. I want my wife to blind their eyes, so I prepared these clothes according to your figure. You can choose and see which one you want to wear today.”
Song Si frowned slightly and pouted. She begged, “Then turn around first. I’m really shy.”
Song Si was born with charms. When she acted coquettishly, it made one’s heart melt.
“Alright, alright. I won’t look at you. Come over and pick your clothes.”
Shang Yao surrendered and turned around.
Only then did Song Si walk to the wardrobe with the thin blanket wrapped over her. She casually browsed and decided on a relatively conservative dress.
She was about to take the dress back to the bed to change when she was pulled into a strong embrace.
Shang Yao looked down at her. “Mrs. Shang, I’ve thought about it. I don’t have any plans to separate from you, so you’ll have to get used to changing in front of me sooner or later. Why don’t we start today?”
Song Si clenched her fists and punched his chest. “Shang Yao, you’re a hooligan!”
Shang Yao cupped her face. “I’m a hooligan only in front of you.”
With that, Shang Yao bent down and kissed her.
As their tongues intertwined, the thin blanket around Song Si fell to the floor. She struggled to pick it up but was stopped by Shang Yao.
Shang Yao placed her hand on his waist and hugged her tightly, kissing her even deeper.
Song Si gradually felt that something was wrong. Shang Yao was standing upright against her, and his hand was wandering on her back.
This did not look like something that could be resolved with a kiss!
Panting, she escaped Shang Yao’s kiss and said, “Stop fooling around. We have to serve Dad tea later. It won’t be good if we’re late.”
This was the standard practice of big families in A City. The morning after the couple’s wedding, they had to serve tea to their elders.
Shang Yao’s mother died early, so his father was the only one in charge of the family.
Shang Yao’s thin lips curled up. “It’s already too late. It’s already one p.m., Mrs. Shang.”
Song Si shuddered and woke up from her reverie. “It’s one p.m.? I slept for so long? No, no, I have to change quickly.”
Shang Yao caught the woman who was trying to escape and carried her to the bed. “Don’t worry, I’ve already called the old man. He’s very understanding of the situation.”
“Ah…” Song Si covered her face. “How embarrassing…”
Shang Yao put her on the bed and said with a wicked smile, “You should worry about yourself first.”
