Chapter 44: Soft Hearted For Her
Jun Mohan knew that he said a lot and Feng Sujin won’t be able to take it all in immediately, but he will give her time to get used to it.
Jun Mohan took care of Feng Sujin for a few days in the hospital and Feng Sujin couldn’t help but speak up when she saw his tired expressions, “Mr. Jun, I want to go home.”
In fact, her main intention was to make Jun Mohan go home and rest. She knew that he wouldn’t necessarily agree if she said it straightforwardly because he prioritized her body first. Jun Mohan cared for her so attentively and she wanted to be a good wife so she could be worthy of his goodness.
Jun Mohan’s magnificent eyes looked surprised as he obviously didn’t expect Feng Sujin to say something like this. “Home” was indeed pleasant to his ears.
He looked at Feng Sujin deeply and his heart softened when he saw her puppy eyes.
In the afternoon on the same day, Jun Mohan handled the procedure for her to be discharged from the hospital. When Qiu Wenzheng found out that Jun Mohan was leaving with Feng Sujin, he waited in the hall for them.
Seeing that Jun Mohan took Feng Sujin outside, Qiu Wenzheng couldn’t help but tease him, “I’ve finally sent this Buddha away. Did you know that even the dean of the hospital doesn’t dare to breathe when you are here??”
Jun Mohan glanced at Qiu Wenzheng and his head hurt at Qiu Wenzheng’s expressions.
He didn’t reply to Qiu Wenzheng, but lowered his head and spoke to Feng Sujin softly, “This is Qiu Wenzheng, he’s a doctor I’ve been friends with since young.”
Feng Sujin smiled at Qiu Wenzheng, “Hello, I’m Feng Sujin.”
“Little sister-in-law, I have been looking forward to meeting you for a long time!” Qiu Wenzheng stretched his hand out for a handshake as he spoke, and Feng Sujin also stretched her hands out politely after a second.
Seeing that they were about to make the handshake, Qiu Wenzheng suddenly felt the temperature around him decrease and even send chills up his spine. He quickly took his hand back before the coldness faded.
Jun Mohan held Feng Sujin’s stretched-out hand and said, “Didn’t you say you want to go home? We’ll go now.”
“Oi, we grew up together, what’s wrong with me speaking to my little sister-in-law?”
Feng Sujin’s attention was on their intertwined hands. His hands were long and slim; every joint could be seen clearly. His hands were warm, and the warmth penetrated through her hand to her heart.
Jun Mohan looked at Qiu Wenzheng and replied helplessly, “What do you want to say? Say it!”
Feng Sujin could feel that Jun Mohan was very close to Doctor Qiu from the tone alone. Hence, she looked at Qiu Wenzheng earnestly, wanting to hear what he had to say.
Qiu Wenzheng insisted, “I just want to speak with my sister-in-law. Don’t worry, it’ll only be a few minutes.”
Jun Mohan eventually nodded and turned to Feng Sujin, “I’ll wait for you in the car.”
Feng Sujin nodded.
After Jun Mohan left, Qiu Wenzheng immediately changed his expression and his pestering side disappeared. He put his hands in the pockets and he looked at Feng Sujin earnestly but with a frown, “Miss Feng, perhaps you don’t know?”
Feng Sujin was confused about the sudden change of way he addressed her but she spoke calmly, “Know about what? Since Doctor Qiu wanted to speak with me, that means you’re going to tell me, right?”
“You are smart, but I don’t know what you did to make him treat you so well and break his principles for you over and over again.”
