Chapter 48: Open Her Heart To Him
Jun Mohan meant two things. Whether it’s their relationships or the way Feng Sujin treated those people from before, he thought it was for the best to let it develop naturally. He won’t force Feng Sujin to discard someone from her past so quickly — he’d give her time. As for him, he will hold Feng Sujin in his hands tightly in his own way, and completely cancel others from her life without a trace.
Those who knew Jun Mohan well would know that he looked gentle, but was powerful and dominating.
Feng Sujin looked like Jun Mohan and hesitated.
Jun Mohan looked at her childish movements and patted her head gently, “Not contacting him isn’t the best way to handle it. When you are strong enough, you’ll know what you should do.”
Feng Sujin looked at him in confusion, not understanding what he meant.
Jun Mohan sighed. His little wife’s emotional intelligence and intelligence quotient needed improvement.
“It doesn’t matter how you got along with Lan Beichen before, a man needs to prepare a lot to marry a woman. He must love you and have a sense of duty. No matter what excuse, he did not fulfill his obligations and abandoned you during the wedding. He made you the joke of Beiquan City and humiliated you, you should fight back rationally. One day, you will make him slap his own face.”
Feng Sujin was enlightened by Jun Mohan’s words and at the same time shocked by his theory. From his words, she could tell that Jun Mohan had a strong mind and that was extremely responsible.
Jun Mohan looked at Feng Sujin’s eyes light up and spoke seriously, “Don’t worry, I won’t be the second Lan Beichen. You can stay by my side at ease, don’t think about other things.”
Feng Sujin felt a sense of security from his words.
She had been lost like duckweed, unable to find a direction or seek a sense of belonging, yet she found them here. She was anxious; can she really open her heart and trust another person again? But Jun Mohan saved her life and there’s no reason for her not to. Although her heart was full of holes, she was willing to try to have a new beginning.
Feng Sujin grabbed Jun Mohan’s hands, “Mr. Jun, I believe you.”
“Good. Are you hungry? Come and try my cooking.”
They only made noodles but the servants filled the table with other dishes. Feng Sujin had a taste of the noodles and nodded furiously as it tasted great.
“It’s really good.”
Jun Mohan looked at Feng Sujin’s expressions and laughed, “Is it a psychological effect that you think it’s tasty because I made it?”
“No, it’s really nice. All the noodles I had before never had much flavour, how did you learn it?”
Jun Mohan’s smile faded as light across his eyes, “I lived overseas for a period of time, I learned how to make it through the internet. But it’s the only thing I know how to make; it doesn’t take long and it’s filling.”
Feng Sujin didn’t know what Jun Mohan experienced prior to this but she could feel that he had experienced hardship before through his words.
Feng Sujin’s heart became soft and said, “I know how to cook a lot of food, you don’t need to know how to cook. I’ll cook for you in the future.”
Jun Mohan’s eyes locked onto Feng Sujin’s eyes and shook his head uncontrollably at her cuteness and kindness.
