Lan Beichen didn’t speak and silently admitted it.

The Old Master shook his head, “You’ve been blinded by love. Your grandpa is old and the roads I’ve walked on are more than what you’ve seen. Miss Liu isn’t suitable for you, her intentions aren’t simple.”

In Lan Beichen’s eyes, Liu Shiya was the best; he couldn’t take in his grandfather’s words.

“Grandpa, you liked Feng Sujin but I don’t love her.”

“Didn’t you get along with her well? Or were you just playing house for the past two years?”

The Old Master looked at Lan Beichen’s stubborn face and sighed again, “Nevermind, you won’t listen to me no matter what. You’ve chosen your path — you need to walk down it yourself. I just hope you won’t regret it in the future.”

Lan Beichen replied firmly, “Grandpa, I won’t.”

The Old Master shook his head and walked upstairs with his hands behind his back.

Lan Beichen ran outside, desperate to see Liu Shiya. He thought that Liu Shiya was still frail and came all the way here because she missed him. How could he not love and cherish a woman like this?

Lan Beichen ran outside and approached Liu Shiya, hugging her tightly, “Shiya, it’s so cold at night, why did you come here?”

When Liu Shiya saw Lan Beichen’s love and worry and how panicked he was, her lips curved up in satisfaction. This way, she didn’t waste the effort in coming here and using the trick of harming herself.

“I just miss you, I didn’t think too much.”

“Don’t do this in the future. If you miss me, I’ll go see you.”

“But I’m scared that you are busy and I’ll disturb you.”

“You are more important no matter how busy I am.”

Lan Beichen was moved emotionally and took Liu Shiya into House Lan.

Liu Shiya followed Lan Beichen into the house and Lan Beichen settled her down in his room.

“Drink some hot water to warm up, I’ll go order them to make some supper for you. I’ll drive you back after you eat.”

When Lan Beichen went to order food for her, Liu Shiya saw Lan Beichen’s phone on the table and picked it up as she wanted to see who Lan Beichen just called. When she saw ‘Feng Sujin’, she almost threw the phone away in fury. However, she forced herself to stop. Instead, her lips curved up eerily, throwing the phone into the fish tank on the side.

When Lan Beichen brought back some desserts the kitchen had just cooked, he saw Liu Shiya crying, explaining that she had wanted to make a call with his phone but accidentally dropped it into the fish tank.

Lan Beichen saw that he couldn’t use his phone anymore and tried his best to comfort Liu Shiya even though he was exhausted too.

After he drove Liu Shiya back to the hospital, he was so tired that he couldn’t even keep his eyes open anymore. However, he still had to retrieve the numbers of some important customers.

Lan Beichen couldn’t fall asleep that night and he didn’t know why he made himself so tired. Because he was so exhausted, he forgot to think about Feng Sujin.
