Chapter 56: The Unique Kindness
Jun Mohan watched Feng Sujin wolf down her food and scooped a bowl of congee in front of her, “Eat slowly, have some congee, don’t choke.”
Feng Sujin looked up at Jun Mohan and suddenly asked, “Mr. Jun, do you treat others so well too?”
Jun Mohan replied lightly, “They aren’t my wives, why should I treat them like this?”
His sentence explained Feng Sujin’s confusion and she thought that perhaps she was the lucky one who became Jun Mohan’s wife and receive his unique kindness. However, Feng Sujin didn’t understand why Jun Mohan treated her so well. She knew that she wasn’t the prettiest, and she didn’t have the value Jun Mohan needed.
However, she wasn’t the type to bring trouble upon herself. Since she couldn’t make sense of it then she stopped thinking about it. She was halfway through eating her breakfast when she mimicked Jun Mohan, scooping a bowl of congee for Jun Mohan, “You should eat too.”
Jun Mohan looked at the congee in front of him and the lights in his eyes flickered, making it difficult for others to distinguish his emotions.
However, Feng Sujin found Jun Mohan to be smiling lightly. Without knowing why, Feng Sujin felt brighter when she saw Jun Mohan’s smile. Even so, she couldn’t guess what Jun Mohan was thinking. The dim light at the bottom of his eyes was like fog, making her unable to see through it.
…
After breakfast, Jun Mohan spoke after Feng Sujin rested for a while, “Follow me to the study.”
Feng Sujin froze for a second, then quickly came back to her senses, following Jun Mohan’s steps.
After they went in, Jun Mohan pointed at the chair on the side, “Sit down first.”
Jun Mohan emitted a strong and dominating aura, forcing people to follow his orders.
Feng Sujin sat down on the chair obediently.
Next, Jun Mohan picked up two folders on the side and place it in front of her, “This is House Mi and House Feng’s information, you should need it so I prepared it for you.”
Feng Sujin was shocked. She lifted her head up and looked at Jun Mohan full of appreciation, her clear eyes were filled with the lust of water mist.
Jun Mohan leaned back on the chair and turned lightly, knocking the chair’s handle, “Why are you looking at me like that? Aren’t you going to open it and have a look?”
Feng Sujin snapped back to reality and quickly opened the files, astonished to see all of House Feng’s members’ detailed information. It was extremely thorough; every person was analyzed. It included their characteristics and personality and their life experiences, as well as their weaknesses and strengths; they were are all stated clearly.
If she was going to fight Feng House, these files are extremely valuable to her — it was like a sharp sword! As for House Mi, although it’s not as detailed as House Feng, it was more than enough. She never thought that her assumptions were correct: what happened at Sleepless Night Bar was House Mi’s doing.
One reason for why it happened was that House Mi was aiming for House Feng, another reason was that House Mi’s Miss Mi Liangse didn’t get along with her. Song Qiuyin used to target her because she had something to do with Lan Beichen, as well as Mi Liangse. Mi Liangse and Feng Sujin didn’t get along in university and Mi Liangse often used Song Qiuyin as the gun to shoot Feng Sujin.
Feng Sujin read through it briefly and her hand clenching the files became rigid, wanting to vent out the hatred in her heart. She was like a tiger ready to attack, ready to give the fatal blow to her enemy.
Jun Mohan sat there quietly while watching Feng Sujin. He felt the killing intention on her and light flashed across his eyes, disappearing in the twinkle of an eye.
