With a firm look on his face, Argus was not willing to budge.
Sean deliberated in his mind. 60 Gold Coins for 120 Naga Scales was not a small amount. A set of Lightforge Armor, consisting of 8 pieces of Equipment, was sold for 800 Gold Coins. Even if that price was a bargain, the highest it could go for would probably be around 1000 Gold Coins, making it slightly more than 120 Gold Coins a piece. These scales alone were not enough to forge scale armor, Argus still needed to add in more materials as well as factor in his profits…
Based on this calculation, 60 Gold Coins was a fair price!
Hence, Sean nodded in agreement. “Alright, it’s a deal. The 2 Naga Claws and the Naga Hide…”
Now that the price of the scales was settled, Argus relaxed his muscles. He chuckled. “For the Naga Claws, I’ll give you 10 Gold a piece. Trust me, it’s a good price. Honestly, I’ve got no use for the Naga Hide. I’d have to trade it to a Leatherworker. I don’t know the market price… How about 10 Gold Coins?”
Sean immediately shook his head, “No can do! This is an entire Naga Hide, how can it cost the same as a claw? Are you taking advantage of me because I’m young? 20 Gold Coins, no less than 20 Gold Coins!”
Argus hesitated for 10 seconds before clenching his teeth. “Fine, little brother. For the sake of Old Saldean and Gryan, I’ll agree to that! 60 Gold Coins for the Naga Scales, 20 Gold Coins for the 2 Naga Claws, and 20 Gold Coins for the Naga Hide. Don’t bother counting the Murloc Scales. It’d take all day! I’ll give you 10 Gold Coins for all of them, bringing the total to 110 Gold Coins!”
A single scale could be sold for a Copper Coin, which meant that 100 pieces cost a Silver Coin, and 10,000 pieces cost a Gold Coin. Since there were less than 100,000 Murloc Scales in the carriage, he had made a profit!
Sean had the sudden realization that Argus was the most adorable person in the world. With the deal closed on the spot, Sean rode the horse carriage back to Lion’s Pride Inn.
He was unaware that when he left, Argus let out a sinister smile.
“I said you’re a little brat, what do you know? Such high quality Naga Scales are worth at least a Gold Coin a piece! With 120 pieces, I can make 2 suits of scale armor, maybe more, and sell them at 200 Gold Coins a piece! The 2 Naga Claws can be made into a pair of claw-like fist weapons that can, at the minimum, be sold for 100 Gold Coins. This Naga Hide is worth more than 50 Gold Coins to a Leatherworker. I’ll pocket no less than 200 Gold Coins from this sale, about the same as selling 500 Guard Sets to Old Gryan. What a lovely little brat…
“You have to come often, little brat!”
Sean had no clue that he had been conned by Argus. He was still convinced that, even if he had not made significant profits, he had not been lowballed.
After returning to Lion’s Pride Inn on the horse carriage, Sean immediately sought out Old Saldean to ask about locations that sold leather, wood and stone.
Old Saldean believed that Sean intended to build a house, hence the questions. Since he planned to have Sean take up an apprenticeship under the Engineers in Goldshire, Old Saldean assumed that the boy wanted to familiarize himself with the market before learning the skills required to become a real Engineer. Eventually, Sean would be able to earn enough money to build a home in Goldshire.
Honestly, Old Saldean put too much thought into it.
Over the years, Old Saldean had become acquainted with many people in the area. This included a number of carpenters and stonemasons. One by one, he introduced them to Sean with great enthusiasm.
“Oh Sean, you have to remain on good terms with the people to live in Goldshire. They will take care of you on my behalf. Tomorrow I’ll take you to meet Old Harry, an Engineering expert. He’s the best Engineer here…”
Sean nodded in response and waited until Old Saldean was done speaking before departing in search of a friend of Old Saldean to purchase a large amount of leather, ore and wood. He then hid in his room and began converting the items.
After converting 10 Garrison Resources, Sean immediately built the Gate of Spacetime and entered a new Dungeon, Redridge Mountains. He had no intentions of clearing the Dungeon; instead, he embarked on a converting frenzy. Apparently, when inside a Dungeon, converting Garrison Resources had no impact on Mental Energy. Sean could not see the logic behind it.
Soon, Sean managed to convert all the items into Garrison Resources. He then entered the Spatial Garrison and decided to construct a Town Hall.
[Level 1 Town Hall, in construction. Construction time: 1 day.]
This day, Sean was not in the mood to do anything. Filled with anticipation, he could neither eat nor sleep well, leaving him pretty haggard.
It was only at the sound of a melodic prompt that Sean reentered the Spatial Garrison with a joyous look on his face.
[Ding!]
[The construction of a Level 1 Town Hall is completed. Congratulations Commander, the Spatial Garrison is upgraded to a Level 1 Spatial Garrison, unlocking 1 Large Plot, 2 Medium Plots, and 3 Small Plots.]

A series of information prompts bombarded Sean.
It took Sean a long time before he could calm himself down. He wasted no time in checking his Spatial Garrison.
The formerly desolate Spatial Garrison was now filled with 10 Plots. Each Plot was surrounded by a ring of light.
Among them, the four biggest rings of light belonged to the Fishing Shack, Herb Garden, Lunarfall Excavation, and Menagerie. There was one slightly smaller ring, which was used for a Large Garrison Structure while another 2 smaller ones were reserved for Medium Garrison Structures. The three smallest rings of light were for Small Garrison Structures.
All the buildings within the rings of light required corresponding Blueprints to construct.
Out of all 10, the 4 Fixed Garrison Structures —the Fishing Shack, Herb Garden, Lunarfall Excavation, and Menagerie came with their respective Blueprints. Hence, they could be constructed as long as the Garrison Resources requirement was met.
The Fishing Shack required 100 Wood and 100 Stone to build. A fishing shack and lake would be available upon construction. As all sorts of fish spawned in the lake, fresh seafood could be obtained through fishing. Apart from seafood, various unexpected items could also be fished from the lake.
The Herb Garden cost 100 Wood and 100 Stone to build. The construction would see the birth of a small herb garden that can be used to grow all kinds of miraculous herbs.
100 Wood and 100 Stone would construct the Lunarfall Excavation. A small excavation site would appear after construction. Different types of ores would be readily available.
As for the Menagerie, 100 Stone and 100 Wood was needed to build a pet menagerie. It was a place to train loyal pets to assist in battle.
In order to build a Large Structure, 2 Medium Structures, and 3 Small Structures, Sean had to clear quests to obtain Blueprints.
At the moment, Sean was already in possession of a Small Blueprint, the Golem Factory.
