“Hey, Yukito. Over here, this way!” (Soma)
There are only ten days left for the summer vacation, but it’s still hot. Today, the sun was shining dangerously brightly again.
The four seasons seem to have moved forward a bit in recent years, but I’m getting tired of thinking that it will still be this hot in September.
I’m too lazy to go out, but it’s not healthy to stay indoors either. When I got to my destination, there was already a guest waiting for me.
“Mithras, it’s been a while.” (Yuki)
The person who greeted me in a summer dress and mules was Mithras-senpai, aka Goddess-senpai. I’m standing in the shade, but I’m still sweating.
“I haven’t seen you since school. It’s so hot today, it’s killing me.” (Soma)
“Oh, man. I’m exhausted just getting here.” (Yuki)
I wipe the sweat off my face with my handkerchief and take a sip of my water bottle. Under the blazing sun, hydration is of utmost importance. In the past, there was a gut feeling that you should not drink water during club activities, but that has long since been dropped.
“What kind of goddess is Mithras, by the way? I’ve never heard of her.” (Soma)
“She’s a goddess of my own design, do you know her?” (Yuki)
“How would I know?” (Soma)
“She gives gifts to mankind.” (Yuki)
“Oh, there’s something like that in novels, isn’t it? So I guess she’s a good goddess.” (Soma)
“I hate her.” (Yuki)
“I knew it, you really do hate me don’t you?” (Soma)
For some reason, she gives me a resentful look with half-lidded eyes, but when I smile, she immediately switches her gaze to something expectant.
“Well, It’s okay. Anyway, do you have anything to say? I put in a lot of effort.” (Soma)
She put her hands on her clothes and made them flutter. I can understand what they want if they do that much. I looked up and down from her toes to the top of her head.
“You’re so cute, senpai! Mabui” (Yuki)
“Re-really? I feel embarrassed when people praise me so honestly. Really?” (Soma)
“You look so good that you’re about to be approached by flirtatious guys or a delinquent and taken home.” (Yuki)
“You’re ruining it!” (Soma)
“Come to think of it, aren’t there too many flirtatious guys and delinquents in romantic comedies? I’ve always wondered how unsafe the streets are.” (Yuki)
“I can’t go any further. I mean, I don’t want to be questioned like that, but isn’t that part of the novel?” (Soma)
“In this age when the number of Yankee comics is decreasing…” (Yuki)
“But, you know. Now that Yukito is here, you can help me even if I get tangled up, right?” (Soma)
“Oh, and by the way, “Mabui” means “spirit” in Okinawan dialect.” (Yuki)
“Hey!” (Soma)
[TL: Mabui also means cute]
Since it’s summer, I thought I’d tell her a chilling joke. As it was, the downtown area was full of people. It seems that the summer heat has become a source of energy.
“There’s still some time left, do you want to go into a cafe?” (Soma)
“Senpai there……” (Yuki)
A few meters away, there was a bakery store. I couldn’t help but be curious.
“I’m a little hungry. Come to think of it, melon pans get a lot of looks, don’t they?” (Yuki)
“Let’s go in there. But it sure looks crispy and tasty, doesn’t it? The bread that seems to be missing in my opinion is the raisins–” (Soma)
“Can you please stop negative comments about bread? You’re the worst, you know that? I’m disappointed. Please apologize to the bakers who work so hard to make this bread.” (Yuki)
“That was clearly your invitation, wasn’t it!? Mou. Because this very day I’m absolutely furious. I won’t forgive you if you apologize!” (Soma)
“Calm down, calm down. I’ll give you the first bite of the Anpan without the bean paste.” (Yuki)
“I don’t want it!” (Soma)
While we were having a barren talk, Senpai and I rummaged through some bread, and by the time we got out of the store, some time had passed.
So I decided to ask Senpai about something that was really bothering me.
“I’ve been wondering, what are we doing here in the first place?” (Yuki)
“Why are you asking it now!?” (Soma)
“I see, so Goddess-sensei and Goddess-senpai are relatives.” (Yuki)
“That’s right. I’m sorry for making you wait.” (Koon)
When I got into the car, I was being explained the situation by the original person I was waiting for, Goddess-sensei, a.k.a. Koon Kozukata Sensei. By sheer coincidence, the two goddesses seemed to have a close connection. This is a complete coincidence, although it may seem like an artificial convenience.
“I’m surprised that Yukito-san and Koon-san know each other.” (Soma)
“So do I. I was thinking of having dinner with him today to thank him, but Kyoka wanted to come with me. You two get along well, don’t you?” (Koon)
“I’m a loner. Ah, but the only fellow who is loner is Goddess-senpai.” (Yuki)
“No, I’m not! You just don’t know it, but I have lots of friends!” (Soma)
“Pfft.” (Yuki)
“Don’t laugh like that with a straight face!” (Soma)
“Ara, but Kyoka. You’re not that type, are you?” (Koon)
“Koon-san!” (Soma)
“Fufu. I’m sorry, but it’s kind of refreshing to see you like that.” (Koon)
When she arrived at the meeting place in her car, she was wearing big sunglasses. She looks like a completely hot woman. There is no trace of the time when she used to be a Youkai face vomiting BBA. The difference between the two is astonishing.
“That’s what Goddess-sensei looked like. She was like that when she was lying on the asphalt.” (Yuki)
“Don’t say that, please!” (Koon)
“I’m sorry, Yukito-kun. Koon-san caused you trouble, didn’t she?” (Soma)
“Hey, hey! Kyoka!” (Koon)
“I’m fine. It was just vomit and urine.” (Yuki)
“Gohogohogoho!” (Koon)
“Is it a summer cold? Goddess-sensei, please be careful, okay?” (Yuki)
“Thank you.” (Koon)
For some reason, she gave me the same resentful look that she had given me earlier, but I had no idea why.
“By the way, Yukito-kun. You have something to discuss with me, don’t you? Shall we drop by the office for a moment?” (Koon)
“Please” (Yuki)
Goddess Sensei seemed to have reflected on the situation and said that she was always available for consultation if I had any problems. The consultation with the lawyer would normally cost a fee, but it’s free and unlimited. I was grateful for that.
“Don’t do anything dangerous, okay? You’re a student. They can even get rid of you.” (Koon)
“I’m fine. Besides, I’ve already been suspended once since I started high school.” (Yuki)
“Eh? You’re a freshman, right?” (Koon)
“I can’t forgive them for that, even though it wasn’t Yukito’s fault.” (Soma)
“Things worked out unusually well, so I guess it’s all good.” (Yuki)
“How did that work out for you?!” (Koon)
It’s a rare thing. It was probably a blessing that Himiyama-san did something about it instead of me. What I have is a mademoiselle.
After finishing the counseling at the office, we went to a restaurant recommended by Goddess-sensei. The consultation was not for me, but for Hinagi Suzurikawa, and I asked her to be my ally. I also gave her some materials I had collected. I’m sure Hinagi will be relieved to have a strong ally.
It’s not a good idea to wait. It’s foolish to be afraid of what the other side might do at any moment, and today is the age of self-defense.
“I’d like to ask you what you plan to do, but I’m afraid to ask….” (Yuki)
“Kukuku. You’ll find out in the second semester.” (Koon)
I’m sure that Hinagi doesn’t want to be bothered by trivial things forever. It’s not that difficult. All you have to do is stick a nail in it so that it doesn’t interfere any more. Although you need to be careful not to accidentally stab too deep and end up with a fatal wound…….
“Anyway. If you have any problems, call me right away. It doesn’t matter if it’s from her or from you. And call me before you do anything. Somehow I think you’ll do something terrible if I leave you alone.”
“Yes. I’ll be sure to tell Hinagi about it. But don’t worry Goddess-sensei, I won’t do anything too outrageous! I don’t drink alcohol.” (Yuki)
That’s absurd. There are no students as quiet as me.
“Can you really stop talking about it? I don’t know what I did that night! I also have dignity– ” (Koon)
“Hey, Yukito-kun. Was Koon-san really that bad?” (Soma)
“Kyoka, there are some things in this world that are better left unknown.” (Koon)
“What’s dignity! I’ll remind you of the ammonia smell on my back right now.” (Yuki)
“I’m really sorry, okay? Not anymore, okay? I also regret it, and you can ask me anything as an apology, so I wonder if you can really forgive me for that—–.” (Koon)
“How do you think I felt washing yellowed t-shirts in the laundromat late at night?” (Yuki)
“I don’t want to hear it, I don’t want to hear it, I don’t want to hear it!” (Koon)
“It’s an erotic feeling.” (Yuki)
“Eh?!” (Koon)
The eyes of the goddess-sensei, who had been shaking her head in disgust and covering her ears, widened in astonishment. However, even without the goddess sensei, there was a lot of confusion that night,…….
“You said you didn’t mind, but you’re still upset about it!” (Koon)
“Of course I do! You vomited on my head. What if my hair goes bald from the stomach acid?” (Yuki)
“He’s talking about hair……” (Soma)
“What am I, a litmus test, acidic from head to toe, alkaline from back to toe, covered in urine?!” (Yuki)
“Fu. I have no idea why I’m not laughing when you say something so well.” (Koon)
“It’s also important to note that only Goddess-sensei has a pH of 7 because I gave you water to drink. Speaking of which, you were strangely hostile to men, is something wrong?” (Yuki)
“I guess it’s because I saw a terrible man on a case I was just working with……. It was rough.” (Koon)
The goddess-sensei, who used to look like a hot girl, had completely lost her touch. There was no trace of her. She might be unexpectedly weak mentally when it comes to herself. I had no choice but to comfort her.
“I’m not angry anymore, so please cheer up. Besides, I’m worried about you. If you keep doing that, you might be in danger someday. I don’t want that to happen to you.” (Yuki)
“…… You’re very kind, aren’t you, Yukito? You’re so kind that you even worried about your friend and asked for advice. I had so many chances, but I didn’t do anything about it.” (Koon)
“Isn’t that a little too easy!? Wait Koon-san! You’re acting like a soft woman!” (Soma)
“You’re a beautiful woman, so be careful, okay?” (Yuki)
“That’s the first time anyone’s ever said that to me.” (Koon)
“You’re always a beautiful lawyer! Now Let-me-go!” (Yuki)
I tried to push her away, but she wouldn’t let go. Her hands are firmly grasped.
“Let’s just let bygones be bygones and have a nice dinner, okay?” (Yuki)
“Yes. Shuyu……” (Koon)
“Koon-san? Why are you regressing back to a toddler!?” (Soma)
It’s impossible for me to be nice.
I’m Yukito Kokonoe, a man who has sworn to give up on people who are being molested, who goes out of his way to talk to the gloomy girls in his class who give off an aura of not talking to me, and who is trying to expel the manager, the idol of the men’s basketball team, from the club activities. It’s a huge misunderstanding.
“Hmmm. But I can’t think of anything to thank you.……” (Koon)
But still, a thank you. I thought about it as I ate the food on the table, but I couldn’t come up with a good idea. I don’t have a lot of experience in getting someone to do something for me, so I’m at a loss.
“I said anything, but there is a limit, okay? You’re a high school student, and I know you’re at that age, but you’re still a minor, and these days they’re very strict about that. I’m a lawyer, after all. …… But if you’re serious, I allow it……” (Koon)
“You’re not even drinking, so come to your senses!” (Yuki)
–And so another noisy summer vacation passed by.
