Chapter 529: Disciple of Director Jian 212, Brother Jiang is coming to pick up Alian_2
It means she doesn’t want to join their music association.
Principal Luo was somewhat disappointed, but not surprised, after all…
Dean Jian had been rejected in front of her, Principal Luo irreverently thought to himself.

Afterwards.
Bai Shaoqi stood up with Song Min and the others, and Mrs. Song looked at Bai Shaoqi in surprise, “Are you going to the backstage?”
The Bai and Song families had no one formally educated in music; in this area, they barely had any social connections.
“Yes,” Bai Shaoqi followed the flow of people out, took out her phone, and looked for a number, “My mom found Jiangyin’s Principal Luo, and he helped us get these tickets.”
This was the first time Bai Shaoqi calmly brought up Guo Yueqing.
Mrs. Song followed behind Bai Shaoqi; she had always known Guo Yueqing was capable, otherwise she wouldn’t have lurked for so many years, trampled Ji Mulan underfoot, and helped her two illegitimate children rise to the top.
However, Mrs. Song had not expected Guo Yueqing could find Principal Luo.
She followed Bai Shaoqi in amazement, with a crowd of staff backstage, who naturally did not recognize the trio.
Minutes later, a staff member came to take the three to the lounge, “Please wait a moment, President Luo and Dean Jian have gone to see off some guests.”
“He’s going with Dean Jian to see off guests?” All three found it odd.
What guests would require Dean Jian to see them off?
Even though they asked, the staff member did not answer, only gave them a polite smile before leaving the lounge.
Song Min put down his water glass and stood up to open the lounge door, his cool gaze sweeping over the backstage.
The first row of people were retreating from backstage.
Curtains, instruments, and silhouettes were in disarray.
His gaze landed ahead, to the left front, where the black curtain stirred, seemingly revealing a cyan silhouette exiting, Song Min walked forward a few steps, and bumped straight into someone.
“Excuse me.” He retracted his gaze and spoke.
“No problem,” Principal Luo had just sent off Dean Jian and Bai Lian, he recognized Song Min, as the principal of No.1 Middle School often recommended him, “Are you looking for someone, student?”
“No,” Song Min withdrew his gaze and pressed his brow.
He returned to the lounge.
One step behind him, Principal Luo entered.
Bai Shaoqi, who was talking to Mrs. Song inside, quickly stood up to introduce herself.
“I know who you are, Bai Shaoke’s sister,” Principal Luo nodded slightly towards Bai Shaoqi, thinking to himself that there sure were a lot of talented individuals with the surname “Bai” this year, “Dean Jian just sent off a young friend, and won’t be meeting others for now.”
Bai Shaoqi was quite disappointed, “Then please explain to Dean Jian for me that there’s been a misunderstanding between us.”
It seemed like she was quite familiar with Principal Luo, and Principal Luo was very familiar with Dean Jian.
Bai Shaoke now had a professor from Jiang University mentoring him, while Dean Jian was on par with the principal of Jiang University.
Mrs. Song stood aside, silently observing the scene.
She lowered her eyes, lost in thought.
**
The Jian Family.
Jian Zhe sat listlessly at the table, listening to Jian Rong converse with Miss Lyu.
This Miss Lyu was his matchmaking date, but it was quite obvious she got along better with Jian Rong, whose reputation was well known and was going to apply for postgraduate studies at Beicheng University; she was talented, and Jian Zhe understood her well.
He fiddled with his phone.
Miss Bai: [Tomorrow]
Seeing that Bai Lian was leaving tomorrow, he hurriedly stood up.
“Where are you going?” Jian Father had just returned when he saw Jian Zhe heading out.
Jian Zhe changed his shoes, looked up, and said, “I’m going to see off Sister Lian and… an old gentleman. She is returning tomorrow.”
Since coming back this time, Jian Zhe has become much more reserved. Reading really can alter a person’s temperament; the former Jian Zhe was always impetuous, his thoughts barely concealed and readily apparent.
Today, however, Jian’s father could hardly get a clear read on his son.
“You…” Jian’s father looked at Jian Rong chatting with Ms. Lu and said with displeasure, “You’re just going to leave your guests like this?”
“Ms. Lu gets carsick,” Jian Zhe explained for Ms. Lu. “If you don’t believe me, ask Ms. Lu if she wants to come with me to see off Sister Lian and the others.”
Ms. Lu put down her teacup apologetically and stood up, only then addressing Jian’s father, “Mr. Jian, I am indeed feeling a bit unwell.”
Jian Zhe put on his shoes, took his keys, and left the house.
After he left, Ms. Lu asked Jian Rong, “Who is he going to see off?”
Sister Lian and an old gentleman?
“It’s probably Bai Lian and Teacher Chou,” Jian Rong thought for a moment and explained, “They are both from Xiangcheng.”
I see, Ms. Lu did not ask further.
The two of them enjoyed their conversation.

Bai Lian returned to the hotel with Dean Jian.
Close to ten o’clock, Jiahao Hotel was still brightly lit.
Dean Jian’s car stopped at the entrance of the hotel, and Bai Lian got out of the back seat.
The window of the back seat lowered, and Dean Jian looked at the road flowing with cars, “Aren’t you returning to the hotel?”
Bai Lian glanced at her phone, casually waved her hand at him, and succinctly said, “Waiting for someone.”
Without elaborating, Dean Jian did not inquire further.
In June, Beicheng’s nights carried a noticeable chill, with the Song Family’s car stopped at a nearby red light.
In the back seat, Song Min immediately noticed Bai Lian by the roadside.
She wasn’t standing very formally, but rather seated on a nearby round road bollard, with one leg casually propped up and her blue long dress spread out over the bollard, just barely touching the ground at the edges.
Above her head was a white streetlight, its glow cascading down through the dust in the air, casting a cool light over her attire.
She held her phone, seemingly texting someone, her slender fingers intermittently tapping the screen, with her elongated shadow reflected beside her by the streetlamp.
Song Min got lost in thought, and Bai Shaoqi in the back seat quickly noticed it.
She followed Song Min’s gaze looking out the car window.
Even from the back, Bai Lian’s distinctive aura was too pronounced not to recognize her.
Bai Shaoqi had already seen in the class group chat that Bai Lian had come to Beicheng. It was her first time seeing Bai Lian in person. She withdrew her gaze and asked Song Min, “How many marks do you think she’ll score this time?”
“Math and science are equally tough, I really don’t know,” Song Min came back to his senses, his expression cool and detached.
As they talked, a black car pulled up beside Bai Lian.
Both Song Min and Bai Shaoqi were familiar with the make – a Maybach.
But there was something odd about this car, its chassis seemed higher than the standard model, and the material of the body was different from what they were used to, especially the side and front windshields.
Song Min was somewhat knowledgeable about cars.
His gaze shifted back to the vehicle, “When did they release this model?”
Bai Shaoqi didn’t know.
The driver, however, seemed thoughtful. He knew at a glance, “This is a factory-modified vehicle.”
And the glass, the driver’s fingers paused on the steering wheel…
Was that, bulletproof glass?
The car’s rear door opened, and a tall, dark figure stepped out.
