The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady - Chapter 2062
Ch. 2062: It’s Just Dinner (3)
Shen Yanxiao did not react much.
From the beginning she had not taken Luoqiu, this character, seriously. With his ability, he was not qualied to be her enemy at all.
Luoqiu was the perfect interpretation of the saying: you would not die if you did not seek death. He himself ruined his own future. Kehr and Shen Yanxiao made some small talk while on the road. Soon, the carriage stopped at the palace gate.
This palace was the most striking building in Hidden Dream City. Not only was it magnicent, it was high as well. Furthermore, after its construction, the Ancestor of the Undead gave orders that no building was allowed to be higher than the palace in the whole city. Therefore, in Hidden Dream
City, the palace stood so tall that it could be seen clearly from the city gate.
Shen Yanxiao got out of the carriage. As for the naughty brats of the Flaming Red Squad, although
their blood was boiling with excitement in the inn, when they really got to the palace they calmed
down and showed their most perfect state, with serious expressions and preserving a correct attitude.
In fact, they were afraid of being despised by the palace guards for not having seen the world. Right now, they not only represented themselves, but Yan Di and Deathre Academy as well. Therefore, they should be cautious and prudent in every step they took. As for Shen Yanxiao…
She was still the same. Kehr led them into the palace. Along the way were several undead soldiers in light armour, standing on both sides of the palace road carrying sharp weapons. What was more surprising was that these undead were all skeleton soldiers. These skeletons, wearing iron armor, looked creepy and terrifying.
“Mentor Kehr.” Alas, Shile could not stand the gazes of these skeleton soldiers.
“Hm?” Kehr stopped.
“My Lord… Why does my Lord keep these skeletal soldiers here?” Shile simply could not understand. Skeletons among the undead were of the lowest strength. Even the guards of the ordinary cities seldom used them. Skeleton soldiers would only be launched on a large scale in big battles, because their lives were very cheap compared with other resurrected undead.
Skeleton soldiers did not have any ability to think; they would only act according to the orders of
the undead that resurrected them.
They couldn’t feel pain and didn’t know fear; they were just a group of puppets.
The Ancestor of the Undead was actually using such a bunch of skeletons as guards. How come
they thought that this was unreliable?
“This is my Lord’s desire; I have no idea why, either.” Kehr answered. Although he was the commander of the army of the undead in the Howling Abyss, he was still but a
small existence in front of the Ancestor of the Undead. After the long walk, Kehr brought the Flaming Red Squad into a huge banquet hall.
There was a long dining table, enough to accommodate hundreds of people eating together. At the main position of the table, a couple of skulls were used to create a gold-embedded throne.
“Are they the winning team this time?” A deep and low voice sounded in the banquet hall. After which a tall undead clad in military attire, together with a delicate gure, walked over to Kehr and others. When Kehr saw the man’s appearance clearly, the smile on his face faded quietly.
“Sal.”
The one who came was none other than Sal, the other commander-in-chief of the undead army,
the one who had just returned from the Hidden Dragon Continent.
Sal was transferred to the Hidden Dragon Continent more than a thousand years ago. The youths of the Flaming Red Squad had never seen him before, but the name of General Sal was imprinted
on the bottom of their hearts.
Sal, one of the two commanders of the undead army, was equal in strength to Kehr!
