The Great Trump Card - Chapter 101
Chapter 101 I Really Didn’t Intend to Hit You!
Wu Jun and Wu Mengjie were considered the more stronger-built guys among the students. Moreover, they both had recently undergone serious training. Hence, they were mentally stronger and did not hold back when they swung their machetes at their opponents. If the machetes did strike, their opponents would definitely be injured.
However, to their surprise, the two machetes did not even manage to touch the tips of their clothes. Their opponents managed to completely dodge their attacks. Then, each of their opponents kicked once and they fell to the ground.
Wu Mengjie cursed under his breath, sounding as though he was in pain. On the other hand, Wu Jun gritted his teeth and quickly rose to his feet.
The three men from the opposing party surrounded Lin Huai. Then, they reached out at the same time to grab Ke’er, who was in Lin Huai’s arms.
Ke’er was terrified. She did not know Lin Huai and only approached him for help just now as she saw that there were people by his side. Moreover, she also noticed that they were each wielding a weapon and she could tell that they were no ordinary students. She thought that this group of people might scare her pursuers off. However, they turned out to be unexpectedly weak. She was concerned that she might have unnecessarily gotten them into trouble.
Ke’er was feeling regretful. She was planning to tell Liang Jingyu that she was not Lin Huai’s girlfriend and it had nothing to do with him and the others. But suddenly, Lin Huai pulled her aside and dragged her behind him. Then, he charged forward.
Ke’er was shocked. His machete-wielding companions had already been defeated. What is he trying to do by charging forward without any weapons in hand? Isn’t he courting trouble?
Liang Jingyu laughed. He sounded smug and brazen as he said, “Ke’er, I don’t think he’s right for you. Your boyfriend’s an idiot. All of you! Teach this fool a lesson and break his legs!”
Ke’er was fidgeting anxiously, pleading, “Stop, Liang Jingyu! Aren’t you scared of the law?”
Liang Jingyu seemed quite pleased with himself as he laughed and said, “Well, I set the rules. Unless you agree to make out with me tonight, I’ll definitely break his legs.”
Lin Huai heaved a sigh as he charged toward the three men standing opposite him. “That’s a terrible speech!”
As he spoke, the three men let out a roar as they threw punches at Lin Huai. Lin Huai did not back down and charged forward instead, dodging one of the men’s fist as he collided against his opponent. The opponent, a man with a sturdy frame, felt as though he had been hit by a bulldozer. The impact of the collision produced a loud bang and sent him flying. He let out a cry, sensing that two of his ribs were broken.
The other two men did not expect Lin Huai to be so swift and cunning. He was unexpectedly strong and fearsome.
Wu Jun and the rest of the guys were shocked too. Although they had seen Lin Huai’s ability before, they had a feeling that Lin Huai was concealing his abilities. And now, Lin Huai had just hit a towering man so hard that he flew ten meters away. Did he possess superhuman ability?
The corners of Lin Huai’s mouth lifted as he muttered, “You haven’t even achieved my full power, yet you dare to pick a fight with me?”
The other two bodyguards turned pale when they heard what he said. They were about to surrender when Lin Huai suddenly charged directly at them. He grabbed them by the head with either hands and bam!, both their heads collided hard against each other. The frightening impact sent a shiver down everyone’s spine. Those were skulls, not watermelons.
The man who had had his ribs broken was doubled over as he stood beside Liang Jingyu. He looked sick in the face, whereas the other two men who had their heads crashed against each other had already lost consciousness.
Liang Jingyu was dumbfounded. Although the men he brought along were not the strongest, they were still fairly capable as they were assigned by his father. All this while, with the few men asiding him, he was capable of doing anything he wanted. They could not go against too many people, but each of them could bring down an average of two adult males with little difficulty. The three of them were capable of fighting six to seven men. However, they had now been defeated by one student in the blink of an eye.
How on earth did I come across such a consummate fighter so easily? What is this guy?
As he saw Lin Huai walking toward him, still not finished, Liang Jingyu gasped in horror and snapped, “What are you trying to do? How dare you hit them?!”
Lin Huai gave Liang Jingyu a tight slap on the face, leaving a handprint behind. He did not slap him too hard, or else Liang Jingyu would have flown a few meters away.
Liang Jingyu was stunned for a moment. With his status and position in society, he had never been slapped before.
His eyes widened in disbelief as he roared and cursed, “How dare you slap me? Do you know who I am? Do you know who my father is?”
Once again, Lin Huai slapped Liang Jingyu on the other side of his face, leaving a handprint. Liang Jingyu was so enraged that his eyeballs seemed to bulge. He mustered all his energy and bellowed, “My father is the West Heavenly King, Liang Huai’an!”
Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap! Lin Huai slapped both the left and right side of Liang Jingyu’s face four times consecutively. Liang Jingyu was bleeding from the corner of his mouth, shivering in anger. However, there were others who were shivering harder than he was, such as the bodyguard who was standing beside him. Wu Jun and Pu Chengji’s faces were also turning pale from shock.
Lin Huai raised his hand to slap Liang Jingyu once more when suddenly, Pu Chengji ran over to grab his arm. He was shivering as he said, “Brother Huai, stop! Stop hitting him… The West Heavenly King… his father is the West Heavenly King…”
“Okay,” Lin Huai answered as he put his arm down. Pu Chengji let out a sigh of relief. At last, Brother Huai is able to act accordingly and submit himself to the present circumstances. I do hope that we’ll be able to find a way to apologize and settle this problem. Worse comes to worst, we’ll offer Liang Jingyu the fifty thousand that we received earlier as compensation.
Just as Pu Chengji had let go of Lin Huai’s arm, Liang Jingyu assumed an expression of smugness and spite. All of a sudden, he felt his vision blur as he was given another tight slap. Lin Huai looked at his palm and muttered, “That’s weird. I didn’t intend to do that, but I just couldn’t help myself. Sorry…”
“You son of a b*tch!”
Slap! Then came another tight slap.
“F*ck!”
Slap! And another one.
Liang Jingyu was tearing and sniffling profusely. He heard Lin Huai taunting him in mock frustration, “Pu Chengji, I kept my promise, but there seems to be a problem with my hand. It’s not listening to me. Is there something wrong with me? Oh my! What’s your name again? Oh yeah! You’re Liang Jingyu. What say you? Do you think I’m sick?”
Liang Jingyu had wanted to shout at him, but in the end, he started crying. He was not the only one. His bodyguards and Pu Chengji, who had found out about Liang Jingyu’s identity, also burst into tears.
On the other hand, Ke’er could not help but burst into laughter. Lin Huai turned to look at her and his eyes lit up. He could not breathe for a short moment as he muttered to himself, “Oh my god! She’s as beautiful as a goddess…”
